I want to try and rate games that have cool and original controls or mechanics
Here's mine if anyone wants to check it out, it's not great
So i've been told by pretty much everyone that the selling point of my game is the mechanics, maybe you will appreciate them...
Also this guy, i don't know him, but i flippin love his game, it is the most original thing i've played so far
One button, top down shooter but you shoot a ball that kills the enemies:
Puzzle game here! It's inspired by chess. You can move the knight only!
Tower defence where you can activate only one tower at a time (It gets reaaaally frenetic)
Those who played our game found our level design very good... Our take on the theme was "Only one platform", but you can move it throughout the level. But there's things only the player or the platform can do! The player is able to go through a force field that the platform cannot, and they can go inside a portal as well; and the platform can deactivate lasers, recharge the player's jetpack, fit through tight gaps...
The game I liked playing the most was Blastsmith, it's about a blacksmith who can only carry one item at a time, which often means you have to think very carefully about which items you pick up, because you could have to throw them out so that you can pick another one, and waste a lot of time. I got almost 500 coins, let's see how many you can get ;)
My game is original in the fact that you have to play the whole thing with only one hand. You have to be constantly zipping your hand around the keyboard trying to micromanage everything, its really fun. Give it a try, it only has 2 rating so far and I dont know how to get more.
My game is called One Shot In The Chamber, a wave based survival game where you must fight off hordes of enemies with the catch being, you have only one bullet. Fortunately, the bullet is magic and you can summon it back to you or teleport to it. Using this unique ability, you must survive as long as possible in the chamber. Here is a screenshot of the game and the link to the game page: https://mark-auman.itch.io/one-shot-in-the-chamber
Hi, mine is a puzzle game where you have clones that try to mimic your movements and you have to exploit this to kill tgem so you're the ONLY ONE left. You can also spawn ONLY ONE platform to help you. There is a bug that if exploted can really change the way the game plays though so make sure to read the full description.
with mine... how do you navigate a maze and dodge enemies with only a single action. i set the direction of gravity dynamically and you fall in the direction you choose (towards where you click) so its responsive but can be slower than you think cause momentum you have built up still carries you in the old direction.
the game isn't great (it was my first game) and this is the update from the day after the deadline (the one that made it in under the deadline had a ton of issues) but I would love honest feedback more than ratings, though... thanks :)
Ebrius Maleficus V0.2
We created a conversation game where your only dialogue option is 'no'. You have to figure out WHEN to talk, not what to say, in order to navigate (or even survive) the situations you find yourself in! All with the goal of having a perfect day!
Hey this is my cute little black and white zelda style game. A lot of people say its got a lot of content and really polished for 24 hours! Each weapon has only one hit, so you have to find a new one every time. It can get pretty intense swapping in and out of combat whilst enemies swarm around you! I hope you play and rate! Thx
