Jlorp and I made this lil 3d game also!https://jlorp.itch.io/silver-arrow
My friends and I made a 3D smithing game which uses 1 button

I went 3D, it was a pretty good success I think, you want a pretty low poly game for 3D though, as its all run in browser. https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/463113#post-844346
I did an FPS. https://fireplantgames.itch.io/one-shot
A lot of people use GameMaker, and since it's primarily a 2D engine, you get a lot more 2D games.
My team made a psuedo 3D game! Check it out!
I think it came out looking really nice considering most of it is from asset packs!
MICROVANIA - A One Screen Mini-Metroidvania with a Twist!

Also, I played your game! I really like the intro and menu, but resetting with the walk away sequence after losing was frustrating.
The web-build aiming was a bit wonky as well, I couldn't get a hit. >.<
Great concept though! <3
Thanks for the feed back! intro was proudest moment in the project. I think the resetting the walk is definitely where the game could have improved the most. I just could find a better way to get you to stay in the game without loosing the importance of you "Only One" shot.
Also that style came out really nice! especially if it was just from asset packs =)
Yeah I did 3d with Unity and Blender on mine. Like you, I went a little nuts with the visuals and turns out you need a decent pc to run it. haha. Doesn't really run on any laptops in the house. https://z73.itch.io/the-approach
First game jam, first game, first stupid idea to go 3D ! But happy to have made it : https://fredcham.itch.io/detective-whodunit
Yeah we did a 3D game. A survival top down where you are fighting of wolves with only 1 arrow https://fastandblast.itch.io/one-with-the-woods
We made a 3D rhythm game: https://matt-and-rajiv.itch.io/bassline
I'm a Solo Dev and my game is in 3D game, it's a horror adventure game where you control a robot through Text Command in order to create an Antidote before a deadly infection fully takes you over. https://olinkalex.itch.io/dead-command
Ours is 3D (Blender and Unity) I did the art and it was kind of a Sega Dreamcast arcade game vibe we were going for, with one ability: https://roolow.itch.io/crackbird
Learned a ton through the whole experience! And I actually want to keep replaying the one level we do have
Ours, One Engine Left, is a 3D flight emergency landing simulator, with a twist.

Made by a team of mostly complete beginner Unity devs.
This is mine. Made using Unity and Blender: https://gamexpert.itch.io/one-way-out
We made 3D as well. But I thought, too, that the most games are 2D and some kind of graphics :D
Will go through some 3D as well, to see how it goes for other ppl. And guys, if you know what to say, leave a comment to the games! It only can helps, if they know what you think :-*
If you want to look at it:
Yep! First person puzzle-horror here -> https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462518
Hey, I made a 3D game, it's my first jam, and first finished game and it was a first time I made a 3D models so it was a realy tense weekend :D
The game is about our planet and how we don't care about it and I find it pretty sad. So the gole of the game is to clean trash and put down fires that they can couse.

Have fun!!!
I made a third person exploration game where you only see one arm's length ahead (but if you touch stuff it lights up): https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462525
3D Unity Game: You wake up alone in a dark mansion. You cannot leave the place, yet something seems to lurk in the dark. Is it after you? Probably...

Evil master took your hand, bring it back or you will die from bleeding.

Was thinking the same thing, nice to see there were more people who did 3D! Here is mine btw: https://pitman.itch.io/just-pidgeon
We tried to make /r/place but in 3D, there is only one persistent world, every change is visible to everyone https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/463433
Here https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462313 You are a creature which can change it's colour. But it lasts for only 5 seconds and you can only choose one colour at a time. Colours help you survive from weird creatures or anomalies on the way.
Game made in 3D model but has only 2D effect since in this game you only have one eye (orthogonal view)
https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/463477
3D artists here, so it has to be :D
But I decided for a low fidelity, to concentrate more on the gameplay aspects:
https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462951
You explore your home, while you pack for a longer (or last?) trip. You can change the colors of the scene to see different parts of the house and objects.
hey guys, try this topic and share your experiences in making game for this jam.

Our first attempt to making the 3D game. We are proud of ourselves! It was fun doing and testing it :D

Mine is 3d with a very simple geometric style. Here's the link https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462093#post-857208 hope you enjoy.
https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462325 3d action-puzzle game! clear out a room of enemies in one move!
Another for the 3D crowd, https://birdmaskstudio.itch.io/zombie-gaggle
3D is all I know, and I keep my games low poly so I can manage to get a good amount of assets even within Jam deadlines. I think most people do 2D on Jams because when you have to make everything for the Jam(which is usually the case), you can do a lot of visuals in a short amount of time if you know how to work with 2D stuff. Now to sell my game;
A quick-to-play, 5 level zombie puzzle game. You steer a crowd of survivors and must get at least one of them across the road and past the zombie horde. Any ratings and comments would be appreciated!
Bit late to this thread but our game is 3D and made in Unreal: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/460245
