Super polished overall, and super engaging puzzle mechanics. Moving the lava realtime vs on action totally changes the feel of the game, it would make it more strategic while now it sort of leads to some risky actions which might be a good thing.

If you're serious about moving mobile with it, invest some time in playtesting, change the game a bit (even in directions you don't necessarily agree with) and gather feedback.

Great touch with the little onboarding at first. Besides the controls that some people mentioned, I would to see a faster movement and shooting, and each card awarding more than 1 bullet, to allow some spamming. I was playing it like a sniper

This format could result really well in a "Tinder" format where instead of having the card and the desk view you would only have the card with a profile picture, and swipe left/right to make the decision. It would make the controls easier and it would be more engaging

Done ;) had a couple of good laughs with some of the answers

I love that it's not policically correct, I had a couple good laughts realizing kid beaters and pedos should go to heaven, also (good teacher / bad teacher) was an awesome combo :D

Great platformer, it gets a bit challenging to aim since the player isn't always centered on the screen so keeping the mouse still and moving around actually shoots in different directions :D

47? I'm kinda out of the loop, what is this?

Here's mine, I appreciate as much feedback as you can give me ;)

Thank you for playing, I'm still surprised people are enjoying that art that much =)

There are more levels planned, I may publish an update after the voting phase is over

Every one loves chicken!

There was supposed to be a boss fight in the end, but time ran out =/ I'm glad you liked it =D

Yeah I had 10 levels planned but didn't have the time to finish it =/

I wanted to have a a different approach to the limitation, I hope you had a giggle =)

I'm glad you liked it!

It's really brave to abandon a theme once you have already invested some time and energy into it, and it paid off, it's awesome!

Love the Standley Parable feeling.

The eerie graphics, the color aberration and the scratchy sounds all combine really well together!

Ah a fellow pico8'er. I love how each monster has it's own sound and it kind of creates a tune as you play.

It's really cool how it follows the story of What the Void

Came to play this before Card Hell, this could be a great mobile game ;)

Really fun and good usage of the theme for sure ;)

I had a bit of trouble understanding why some components damage you and others don't =/ Maybe making the camera topdown or add a way to rotate the camera around the player would help with some angles where the player is behind other components.

It's really cool how the rhythm determines the pace of the game!

Future tips: If you want to develop it further, consider adding some sort of penalty for just shooting non-stop (enemy jumps forward a bit, or next shot takes a while longer). Also, you have a great oportunity to create a mechanic similar to beat saber's where there is an optimal "kill spot" for each card that matches the background music.

This was my 1st time using Pico-8 and I have to say what a joy it was!

Coming from Unity and a bit of Unreal, Pico8-8 is super fun to work with, you can get tons of stuff done SUPER fast.

Overall, awesome little engine, I encourage you all to give it a go! Happy to pay the 15$ for it!

Have you guys tried it? Want to try it? Have any questions I can asnwer?

Totally agree!

It should have a loading minigame to increase the "robbery time" but I ran out of time =/

I kinda feel bad for those who where actually hoping to give the game a try :D

Thank you for "playing", I hope you enjoyed the surprise!

That's the point xD

There is no game! It was a lie!

That's actually a really cool idea! I'll try to implement that once the jam is over, thank you for the tip and for playing the game!

I was aiming for a war sim almost until the end but then introduced the zombies to get that fear feeling ;) glad you liked it!

Thank you for the review! The commands are really not ideal =/ the straight black was also intended as a way to aim since there is no crosshair, but I'll try it nonetheless ;)

Thank you for playing my game! A proper end game was definitely in the plans but time ran out - - '

I'm glad you liked it!

I actually added it to the Game's description!

Thank you for the feedback, level design is really lacking =/ I hope you enjoyed it

=( bummer

xD awesome turn! TY for sharing!

The social anxiety one looks really awesome,  I know some people working one a very similar one but regarding anorexia.

Sadly I don't have a Windows computer =/ if you have WebGL or Mac, I'll give them a go!

Game looks nice! Give me some more intel on the process ;)

Why this game? what drove you to this idea?
