Very ambitious project for a jam, but I think you did an amazing job at creating atmosphere and mood. Great work! <3

Developer

thank you, but yours, too! :D

That you crafted such a melancholic, emotional experience into so little time and space honestly amazes me. Really well done~!

Developer

Thx :) I also want to expand a little bit on the game now that the jam is over

This is a great looking game, but due to the colours and style of things, some items are really hard to make out what they are, but great job! You managed to do loads for a 48 hour game jam!

Nice visuals and atmosphere. I had a few problems to pick up some items when I accidently drop them on the floor, but other than that I liked it a lot! Really great job!

Developer

Yeah a lot of people in fact! I want to fix this in an future update.

Great atmosphere, looks and gameplay! <3

Cool concept and great work on the atmosphere.
I wouldn't have minded it being a bit longer, actually... which is a good thing!

Developer

Thank you ^^ pacing is a hard one, so thats cool!

Interesting game. Love the aesthetic and the atmosphere.

The narration based on the texts on the walls is a really good idea. Perhaps you can fade them (like Edith Finch) using the distance of the player.

I think you can do a small full retailed game with a good story based on this concept.
Good job! :)

Great idea! Possibility of getting lost in the darkness... I wander off course some times lol Great use of the theme, well done.

Developer

and getting lost in one self...

Hey! Game looks really cool. But I really struggled to find the car keys, searched the house multiple times... Other than that, the narrative is great. I liked that every time i switched on the red switch, i was reminded of that simple idea: I have to go. Other than what other people already pointed out (missing cursor etc), great game!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it :) It's interesting that a lot of people pointed out the narrative, cause of lot of it was getting cut ^^

Submitted

Only shows how much story you can do with very little :)

Submitted(+1)

I liked it a lot! I would see this game as an interesting combination of a story focused 'walking simulator' kind of game with the elements of a puzzle game. There is definitely a P O T E N C H :D

Developer

I'm not sure about harder puzzle elements, but yes, I want to expand on it a little bit :)

Amazing narrative game. One of the best games I played during this jam. Very well structured and a super dense atmosphere. Loved the sound and music.

I really enjoyed the little details. It was a great idea to describe the pictures on the wall or the mirror. Cool idea with the footsteps.

Very beautiful video game poetry :)

If you want to please check out my game as well. I would be cool to hear your feedback :)

"Video game poetry" sound nice ^^ Yeah I really like to craft small experiences, thanks for the feedback :) Sadly I didn't had time to rate your game in time :/

Great art style and atmosphere! I liked how only certain colors would show certain parts of the level. I only real issue I had was trying to pickup small objects without knowing where my cursor was.

Developer

thx :) will fix this in a future update

loved it... amazing the dev is expert enough to make this level of game in 2 days... applause...

kindly, try and rate mine.. https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/431948

Developer

thx, comes on my list!

Nice and Relaxing

I liked the tone it was well complemented by the music and 1 color at a time thing, the art style in general with the heavy pixelation on 3d has a neat look to it.

Gameplay wise it was cool to be able to pickup almost any object you see.

A cool entry Congrats to you :)

Developer

Thank you kindly :)

A sad game. I like it, but the game mostly about cool visuals and atmosphere, it lacks some interesting puzzles as the base is gorgeous and brilliant.

Developer(+1)

I thought about puzzles but in the end enjoyed to make something about atmosphear. :) Its something you may play in more calm environment than testing a lot of games, but I'd gladly expand a bit more on the puzzle-end of the spectrum ^^ thx for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Quite melancholic aesthetic. The idea of only one color that can be seen at a time seems to be a good idea on paper. However the game gets frustrating quite quickly because objects cannot be seen clearly and it's pain in the ass to search for a small object while testing all the different levers and I cannot find it anywhere. That's how it was for me, at least.

Developer(+1)

Yes you're right! To hide the small car keys this way was not the best choice. I want to get back to it in the future and flesh the environment out more.

Also, the physical switches are something to think about... but thanks for the feedback! :)

I love the art style of the game! It's a great idea, need to be expanded a little more and it could be a great game.

Goo work!

Developer(+1)

Oh I definetly will! Want to add more interactivity and detailed environment :)

Submitted(+1)

Very original !I liked how you use the theme to create this beautifull game .But it a little bit short.

Overall ,well done !

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thats true ^^ threw two similar games away before settling on this... but will expand on it a little bit more in the future :)

Submitted(+1)

Loved the style and polish on this game. Took me a while to find the car keys, just like real life.
Check our game! https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/460207

Developer

Yeah, they are a little bit to hidden :D thx!

Me likey!

The concept is clever!

I would work even more with the sound and story since that's also what makes it unique!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! You mean, more sound effects and music?

Submitted

Yes!
