Hi!

I'm Mansfeld (Michał, my private first name), and I work in customs administration (while passing archivist technician's trade school). I make tabletop roleplaying games as another node of my creativity related to TTRPG (I blog about it since 2011).

Hello, my name is Shafla, I'm from Venezuela, I'm 17 years old and I do art, music and writing. I love creating stories. I'm not good at programming, so I use RPG Maker and renpy.  I love RPGs and visual novels, they are my favorite genres because they usually have great stories.

Since I was a kid I have dreams about videogames, and right now I'm working on a project where I have a lot of love.

I don't have much to say really, so I'll leave you with this quick draw of a cute character.

Hello, I'm CUALITI and I'm from Argentina. I'm 16 years old and I wanna be a game developer. Recently I did my first game (it's free), it's so simple but I don't have a lot of time because I go to a technical school. I wanna do android games but I need 25 dollars for the playstore license

hello!

I go by Rin and I like in Japan!

I've just started developing a new game using Unreal Engine 4. UE5 won't work on my computer.

This isn't my first project by a long way but I'm hopeful it will be the first I see all the way through.

Hello, I'm an inspiring game developer dipping my foot into the field!!:)

(1 edit)

Hello, i am starting to enter the world of gamedev, i yet need to publish and even take ideas out of the paper, but i am very confident that now is the time. My games will not have a exact style since i like a more chaotic flow, being chaotic even with chaos, that means i am organized sometimes. Hopefully i will enjoy to be part of the Itch.io community and i am going to be able to start my career here.

Also, i would like to ask, because i yet need to understand where should i put a thread like this. Is there other places where i could get even more into the Gaming and Gamedev Community? Like, my focus is Game Design, Storytelling and Worldbuilding kind of stuff. So if anyone has any tips, it would be great to hear!

Hey all! I'm Yltas and I had a very creative mind with no outlet for it so I decided to make games! I learned how to use rpg maker and how to make my own music, I'm no master at it or anything!

I just released my first game here on itch if any of you are interested give it some love, I worked really hard on it!

https://lordyltas.itch.io/lords-reincarnation-iii

I'm also starting work on a mobile version & a short sequel soon!

BTW if you want to listen to the songs I made for my game you can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxACNnuBYykkwAVYl9eoxwg

Hey! I'm Cxly and I'm a college student who is very interested in getting into gamedev. I mainly struggle with a fairly defeatist mindset, so if anyone has any tips and tricks to motivation or completing full projects I'd appreciate it!

I haven't made a full game yet, but I did participate in the GMTK Game Jam of 2021, and released a game for that. I'm hoping to participate in further game jams in the future!

I specialise in programming (C#) and mechanics but I also love ambient storytelling and worldbuilding. I hope to go into the industry someday, but I'm going to try to focus on it as a hobby for now.

One small fact about me: I love games where you can go through the same game twice with a completely different playstyle - something like Payday 2's skill tree mechanic or LOL's AP/AD ability splits.

Hi Cxly.

The best couple of advices I can give  you to finish your projects and remain motivated is:

1.- Write it down as a list of steps.

2.- Do not try to kill the whole dragon at once.. do it in pieces. By this I mean, separate the whole challenge in very small pieces (so tyni that is ridiculous) and tackle one by one.

3.- No such a thing as "zero day". Every day you have to do something... even if it is the smallest task of the whole project...

I do not know if this is a magic formula, but I can tell you this... IT WORKS FOR ME.

GOOD LUCK!

Hey, I'm CubeCrafter360. I've been making games with unity for a couple of years but sometimes mess around in unreal engine and python scripting

I have recently started college. Where I focus mainly on software and hardware. Both game development and app development

In my spare time, I like to make games with procedural generation and also I like to play piano and make music. I also like to play a lot on the computer and walk and ride my bike.

If you use Twitter lots please follow me

The latest game I've released is my co-op Christmas game Santa's helper. Hope you'll give it a try.

sincerely CubeCrafter360

Greetings, I'm WildMan.

I've always enjoyed programming, storytelling and sex, so erotic visual novels seemed like a match made in heaven.

If you like any of those things, come check out my free, sci-fi erotic visual novel game, Stranded in Space. The first release just dropped and there's a ton of content!

Hello, i'm Tronus. I decided recently to assemble my own videogames and tried to open a little indie videogames studio.
I've frequented an academy too during the last years and previously have worked some years on Unity, Unreal and other engines.
So just recently i'm publishing few things, since the work of developing and advertising (mostly for me) is really long.

I would like to push the idea of ethical games, to increase our consciousness regarding the exploitations in this mad world, where is possible obviously.

If you want you can follow these links to help and find the games i'm working on:
🔵 Steam 🟤 Itch.io ⚪ Game Jolt 🟢 Google Play ⚫ IndieDb

🟠 Patreon 🔴 YouTube 🟠 Reddit 🟣 Discord

Thanks for the attention and have a good day and life <3

(+1)

Wow, you have done very well.

multiple platforms and multiple software. I like your idea of ethical games; not just to be seen as a complex software that can bring  you joy and entertainment. but also something to reflect upon. That would be the type of game that remains in your head year after you finish.

Good luck with your studio.

Thanks for the encouragement Nelson ^^ Yes, games or creations that have a morality and are not just destroy and kill, are really intriguing in my opinion and could help people to reflect on their life and lifestyle.
Let's see how it will go. Thanks for the message again and have a good day :)

(+1)

I want you to do what you dream of.

Thanks for your kind message Southcountry ^^ Let's see how the future will be

You are welcome!Because this is my ideal too.Good luck to you!

Sorry for not being able to reply in time. There is a 7 hour time zone difference between us. See you another day. Because I'm going to the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Np, have a good trip and day ^^

guys what do use to make your games please help me ??

You could start with Game Maker Studio... very easy to navigate. And then who knows? Unity or perhaps Unreal.

Hey, Hello, I'm trying to become more activity with the others SNS, I really like the idea of Itch.io about helping indie games, indie games are our little oasis of creativity nowadays, well my name is Yosei, I can't make games because I'm a dumb I tried sometimes to learn godot but yeah I guess I over complicated things a lot, anyway I can't make games but I can make drawings, I can do almost everything in the drawing subject, illustrations, concepts and etc I'm not too good with pixel art yet and 3D too I would like to work with a game team someday, ah most of my works is NSFW then that's why I did not shared my portfolio link, I work with commissions and my time to make personal works is a bit small, well thank you for your time o/ call me anytime you need

Hi I'm CRUMVIII. I don't come from a programming background (altho I followed a C# course for about a year) but I got interested in getting into game dev as the current engines seem to have gotten a lot more beginner and user friendly. As well as many youtubers and other helpful people explaining things.

Still falling flat on my face here and there but trying to get better with side projects so once I'm ready I can tackle something I've been wanting to do for a long time: a action RPG with anime style visuals that also has a focus on interactions and bond deepening with your fellow party members.

I mainly have been using Unity for these past few years but I will be tackling Unreal this year to see which engine is a better fit for my needs.

(+1)

Welp people still do this soo here i am.
Hello! Name's Marinosdev134, I Make all kinds of games depending on how i feel like.
I Am using game maker and unreal engine as my main game engines for my projects!
feel free to check out and give some feedback!

(+1)

Hi everyone, I am a fellow game designer who recently published his first video game here in ITCH.IO

Initially Game Maker Studio was my favorite place in the world; spending hours upon hours creating games or simple experiments; then Unity came along and wow! I'm hooked for life.

Games in general have taught me so much, especially when it comes to winning and to lose. There is so much to learn in this media, that at times it could be rather overwhelming. However, one thing is for sure; I am loving this journey.

Space Bravos is a classic space shooter (for starters). But my next project should be a full 3D game.

If anybody needs any advice on 3D or simply discusses some crazy stuff in Unity, you know where to find me.

Cheers!

Hi! I'm Mythical- fairly new indie game designer, I've only published a couple short RPGs so far and I'm working on a third. I love composing music, programming boss fights, and writing poetry for my games. I can't draw, though, so I have a friend do the graphics for all of my games, haha. Please come and check out my games- I mostly just make them on RPGMaker using default assets, but this new game I'm working on is going to have more original things like sprites and voice acting. Glad to be a part of this community- please feel free to introduce yourself to me, I'd love to make a indie gamer friend!

Hello to you.

I am Nemanja from Serbia, and I love making game level designs (without environmental design),  3d game assets and game soundtracks.

This platform was recommended for me from one feminine colleague in architecture and music.

Hello! We're not a single individual, however, you can refer to us as TotsPoli! We're two peeps who've been planning to work together to make games. Our interests fall mostly upon RPGS, and we've got some experience in RPG MAKER MV. Atleast (Gimpy) does, the one who's writing this :)
We're currently working on a project we've wanted to do for a long time and we hope everyone likes it as much as we do!

(+1)

Hello everyone! I actually posted a game before introducing myself lol. Anyways, I'm glad I joined! See you guys around!

(+1)

hello! im klarip and I make zines about my life and things i like! and I'm currently working on my first visual novel :)

(1 edit) (+1)

Hi. I'm new to the community.
I draw stuff. And I like balancing data spreadsheets and analyzing systems.

I'm currently working on Kamifuda with a friend (@Almoxis).
He's probably the best game coder in my city of 350k population. But don't tell him I said that.
He'll disagree you see.

Heyo, I am almost three years late! I am Graves and I am an artist, writer, music maker, sfx sound effect designer, and a coder in the making! I have done a total of two jams, one of which tied for second in a horror scream jam.

My interests are in sci fi, space, horror, monsters, and expanding LGBTQIA+ representation in the indie interactive fiction corner of game development! If you're interested in my work, you can find it here along with my other links. Currently, I am working on a light sci fi visual novel that is a nod to the first game I made called Cosmic Connections. I am always open to making new friends in the community and would love to collaborate on a jam sometime or do freelance work with any future indie projects.

Hello everyone,

Hope you are safe & doing well.

First of all, it's a great place to get a quick introduction and know each other. Also, a place where we can check other works and get acquainted easily for a good long journey ahead.

Here it is VOiD1 Gaming, we are an Indie Game Development group committed to making Game Development highly accessible by creating awesome Games, Premium and Free Game Assets that include Graphics, Music & Scripts, then we create Informative Blogs, Easy to Understand Tutorials, and a lot more other cool stuff with a primary goal to help all Indie developers and beginners to uplift their Game Development journey.

It's been a while on Itch.io and this fantastic community has given us a lot. From daily Asset fans to Patreon Subscribers, this platform has always been our primary source of connecting to the users after our website and social handles.

Therefore, we are looking forward to continuing the service ahead and growing all together at a great pace!! You can check our work so far and If you have any suggestions for us or any comments, please let us know, it will give us room to improve ahead.

And lastly, Thanks again, guys!

Hm hmm, hi there!

I think my arrival here warrants some context. Today, the CEO of rival marketplace Gumroad (presumably) melted down on twitter in an epic show of embarrassment and I decided to go check out the rest of the internet. Now I'm here! The boss here seems cooler.

Coming from Gumroad, I am a technical artist that works in games as my day job but I like to make social VR avatars for fun. Sometimes I sell them. Maybe I'll also sell some shaders, game assets, and if I got some downtime maybe a small game or two, or something! I don't know about the itch community much so I don't know what you fine folks want :D

But I hope you have a good day!

I am the Mysterious Developer

I make 2D(and rarely 3D) games in Godot, having switched from Unity. I'm a huge fan of Telltale Games(I will bring about their resurrection, I assure you).

Perhaps more so, I am a big fan of Artificial Neural Networks and Evolution! I even made an Evolution simulator, inspired by this YouTube video! I love grand strategies by Paradox Interactive, and have made games (terribly) emulating them in the past!

I like electronic music too, but have stopped making it - I prefer to let the Classified Composer do that for me nowadays!

I also am a big fan of Telltale Games and Paradox Interactive. Do they inspire you to make your own projects? What game are you currently working on?

I'm currently gonna work on a game for the #156 Trijam whose theme is "Teatime". But that is a surprise, heheh. Paradox' games really inspired some of the systems in Fall of Bronze, Feudalism Game and to an extent Code Collapse. Those three games are somewhat strategy-based, but there's a lot of interconnected systems, something Paradox helped become my fascination.

As for Telltale Games... I don't feel experienced enough to tackle a story-based game. But one day I will!

What about you?

Can't wait to see the Mysterious TellTale game of the future!

(+1)

Yes, there are plenty of ideas floating around in my head....

Hi! My name is Christian and I'm a starting out game developer. I just published my in development game here on itch.io to be able to get some feedback on what I can improve upon. The end goal for me is to get good enough game developer and have a good enough portfolio to be able to get a stable game dev job. Unless ofcourse i somehow (though unlikely) will by a "happy" mistake make something popular that will require me to continue work on that said game. But as I said my goal is to get a job as a game dev :)

I've been playing games since I was 7 years old when I got my first gaming console on my 7th birthday. It was a PSX along with Spyro the dragon. And since then I was hooked. My favourite types of games are RPG, Strategy(both RTS and turnbased) and survival games. (Finished ones). When I turned 12 I was introduced to both modding for Morrowind and also to a program called Multimedia Fusion 1.5.
I've made some mods for that really are nothing to brag about but it was my introduction to scripting. Also I made some unfinished 2D games on Multimedia Fusion. Mostly top down RPG's with diffirent themes. (Maybe I will give another go at one of them in the future but with Unity instead).

I have just released an in development project here that is a passion/learning project also dedicated to my wife. And I'm looking for feedback from the community on how I can improve. (And I really need it since I just started out.)

Ok that is all I have to say about myself :)

Peace \m/

(+1)

I wish you the best of luck with your career goals! Spyro was one of my first games too and it helped open a whole new world for me!

What kind of feedback would be most helpful to you at this stage?

(+1)

Anything really :)

Best of luck Christian! Hope it all works out. Will certainly check out your projects and leave feedback where I can.

Hi there! I'm Sailing Ocelot, and I'm working on a science fantasy visual novel which allows you to play as one of seven characters. I hope to use Itch.io as a place to share my progress and receive feedback on the game.

I would also love to get in touch with other visual novel creators and story-focused game developers.

(+1)

Hey! Sounds like a great base. Can't wait to see the progress.

Cheers SimpDuck!

Hey all. I am SimpDuck (can call me Jamie). Always focused on putting the the prototypes up her eon itch and game jams completely forgot the community tab.  Hopefully will get to meet some great people and see the amazing content they make, and maybe get feedback on my own projects.

Be cool to work with another developer or streamer in the future so if interested let me know.

Hi blitz! Hope you're well, loved reading your post. Have you done any illustrative or animation work on games? If not, what projects have you been involved with?  If you don't mind me asking.

Deleted 280 days ago

Can't wait to see it! Yeah, I'm very adamant at creating thigs from scratch, I feel you learn best that way, so when i got into game development I knew from the beginning to keep thigs small. so many time have I observed up and coming game developers quit because their ambitions were a little too big and they didn't realize the work and time it would take to fulfill those ambitions. I too have a shmups that I will be releasing on here soon! Very good genre to start off in.

Good luck on your projects too!

Greetings everyone! My names Josh. I love designing and creating video games and themed entertainment (them parks, resorts, etc...). I've been making games for about a decade now and have finally decided to release some. I've released one so far and plan on releasing 2 more soon. I hope everyone is doing well and I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you.

Hello there!

I'm a solo game developer, i enjoy making games and do pixel art even tho im not good at it xD, i've been using unity since 2017 and made a lot of silly small games, but finally in November 2021 i decided to make a big one, i'm currently working on a game called Endless Mist, if you want to know a little bit more about it follow me on twitter.

Nice to meet you all.

Greetings all :)

I was originally drawn to this site because I am 100% a developer - so am constantly in need of art etc from someone else. After poking around the site and these forums for a while, I decided it was time to create an account and say “hi”.

Currently I work in Phaser/Angular, with a pinch of electron if I need something stand alone. This is what I use at work, so best to work in what I know. Aside from work, I mostly make games for fun. But if I ever make something worthwhile, I may toss it up here.

Anyways, hello to all you potential new friends :)

Hello there!

I'm Gail, single-person producer of queer text novels and visual novels alike. I’m something of an autodidact, and I love teaching myself new skills, so I’ve been working on transferring my book design skills into visual novel design skills. Very different mediums! But honestly, if you know how to wrangle a program like Scribus into order, Novelty isn’t too hard to pick up afterward, right?

Anyway, one of the things that has to go into a visual novel is music, so expect me to drop some copyright free and literally free songs for you guys to use in your games if you like.

And of course, I have the singular goal of filling up the LGBTQ categories with some delicious fiction, so if you’re here and queer and ready to lend an ear, take a look! I already have one lesbian dark fantasy up on the shelf and another one coming in May.

That's it, I think. Nice to meet you all!

(1 edit) (+1)

Hello! Now that I think about it, I might not have introduced myself here in this thread despite having an account since 2018. If I did, then let this be a re-introduction, I guess :)

Yo, I'm patch, a solo game dev and have been here for some time, however became inactive due to studies and personal responsibilities. I now come back to hopefully make games again using Godot (formerly Unity), interested in making visual novel, adventure, point-and-click and (maybe soon) fps type of games. I love telling stories and a video game just so happens to be my medium for that. I could be making a game about a man escaping a zombie-infested city or someone trying to outrun his past. I'm currently planning to make small ones here and there before working on a serious project with puzzles about ciphers :)

With that said, it's nice to see everyone here!

Ello there, my name is regularGAMES and I am a solo game developer who makes games in Scratch (sounds funny I know). I make games that are no out of the ordinary but will still keep you on your couch playing for hours, if you are bored. I’m also currently working on a few games right now that are gonna take a while to complete, these games are the games that you should stay updated on. One of them is game that I’m planning to make that takes place in space with a story mode and a multiplayer battle mode. So if you want good ol fashioned games then check out regularGAMES!

Hello! My name is Melanzana. I'm a writer. I felt like content about dominant cougars was rare so that's how the idea behind Domina's Pizza came up. Nice to meet you all!

I'll introduce myself, in the form of stupid phrases: Humor type: DUCC, Intelligence: I is for house, age: as old as scumbag Steve (the meme)

Hey I have been making games for years. First with Gamesalad a long time ago. Then Unity and more recently Unreal engine. For fun I have been making games with Renpy. It has to be the quickest way to just start putting your game out there. No fussing with the core stuff like saving, loading, settings etc just start adding content.

Currently I am using HS2 and developing My Little Brothel (NSFW for sure)

I will always keep creating and developing as it keeps my brain going.

Hello... I"m Romza... i'm an aspiring Streamer XD I'm a gamer and i love to play games... that's a fact... i have types i like and types i don't like.

i've made a three topics on here so far.. all of them revolving around the same thing... asking for people to let me review their games LIVE on stream. i had to stop for a while but now i'm back doing Stream Reviews returns! - General Discussion - itch.io has most of my info... my twitch and twitter... feel free to message me here, or on any of those. i do also try to put my reviews up on my Youtube page but been having some trouble with that, so give me a little more time. also if you want me to review your game you can post in in that thread

Hi, we're Chunky and Posh Totty from GAME60, a digital magazine and not too bad a website (!) dedicated to PC indie games which cost less than $10. We focus on news, reviews and interviews, so feel free to reach out via our website if you'd like us to include any news or look at your game for review. We publish online on the 1st day of every month. We also enjoy doing interviews - we have one in our March issue and another coming up in our April issue. So again, happy to chat and see if we can help. Thanks! www.game60.net

Hello, I am Scope Ricrit, my real name is difficult to pronounce in English, so call me Scope.

I'm in itch io for technically a year now but active just now. I'm a solo indie dev, using Godot and making it for the Windows platform and HTML5. I'm working on 4 games right now, made a usual mistake creating a lot of stories before actually making it.  (Sorry if this counts as self promote or something)

One already uploaded with the A Probable Null. Thank you for the time.

Hello!

Bincer Productions is a two man team making games for fun as a hobby - we both have degrees in Computer Game Science from university and although we never stepped foot into the games industry professional as our jobs, we still have a huge interest in making games.

We primarily use Unity or Unreal and are mostly experienced in C#, HTML5, PHP, JavaScript & Blueprints, along with art & music.

We like to make games that are challenging and give the player a rewarding experience by making sure the game isn't too easy, although progressively they get harder so you can feel the learning curve. A lot of our themes would be to do with mystery, horror, occult, fantasy, sci-fi & religion.

Furthermore, we have  just released our first full game for free over here at Summit of the Stars: Altoph

You can follow us on our website here - https://bincer.dev/

Thanks for reading!

Hi there!

I'm George, I've only just found out about game jams and I'm looking to start joining them now!  I'm a student studying a Masters in Sound Design.  I have experience using Unity and Wwise but ultimately I'm looking to broaden my experience by joining teams and creating kick ass games.

If anyone is looking for a sound designer or just want to team up to develop an idea then I'm definitely down for it!

Thanks!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Tyler and I work as a software engineer. Game development has always been something I am interested in but never focused on in college nor in my everyday job. So, I decided to start learning game development as a hobby.

I picked up a book on Godot and have been making small 2D games in Godot over the last couple of months. I'm having a lot of fun but would also like to start working with others to create more in-depth games.

Please feel free to reach out if you're an artist or sound designer. I'd love to work with others to develop an amazing game!

Hello, I'm David and I'm a second officer on a general cargo ship with two azipods aft and a bowthruster forward
I'm especially interested in being able to make my own models and have played with bridgecommand in the past

Is it possible to make your own models for this game ?

I would like to be able to make a reasonably (ship handling wise) accurate model of the ship I am on.
I run linux generally, and have tried installing this on wine, but its not working right at the moment.  With more time to fiddle around Im sure it will be ok.

Hi, I'm Harsh Lakhan, a 17 year old from India, and I love making games. This is my page, you can check it out. I make games since I was a kid, but I never published them. I started to learn programming with scratch, and today I know Python, C++, GLSL, HTML, Objective C, C, Etc. I know how to make 3D models with proper texturing, UV Mapping etc. In fact I got no formal education in this stuff, nor I took any course. I started this when my dad said "Don't play games, unless you can make them", when I was Playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. He deleted it and gave me Scratch 1. At that time I was just 6 years old. BIG THANKS TO HIM THAT I COULD DEVELOP MY OWN GAME.

What happened to your game on itch.io?

Well, I guess it's time to introduce myself. I'm rafster, newbie game dev. I actually had months making my own adult gay game, and I plan to release it here this week. As for me, I'm from Venezuela, 42 years old, and I'm learning slowly Twine, JS and CCS in order to make my HTML5 game.

And here I present it, Grizzly Grove. I'm happy to be here in this community.

Hi, I'm Qory.

I've had a few ideas for games (primarily some genre hybrids), and unfortunately fell into the trap of just sitting there thinking too much of "what I want to do" without going too far into actually making anything. So, now that I have some basic start for one of my projects, I'm hoping to use this site as motivation to finish it.

Hey there, I'm ArsSanctum (Ars for short)

I'm developing a visual novel series called "The Nameless Braves"! While -my- page is a mess, I do have a decently put together page here for the first installment of this series. I plan on it being a trilogy of what I call "books" and each book will be separated into episodes. The first book is "Heaven", hence The Nameless Braves: Heaven, and I intend to have the first episode of this book available to play for free come April 29th!

I do have plans for intermediate content on the game (like sub-books taking place between books 1 and 2, and then 2 and 3) and also other creative ideas separate from TNB. While TNB is a kinetic novel I do want to make a VN in the future that'll be far more choice heavy.

Hello ive been making games for long time mostly as a hobby Ive liked games since i was a child

I also make electronic tunes sometimes

I am Valerie. I go by many names online. I have been trying to make a commercial RPG Maker 2003 game for 7 years but sadly a lot of problems got in my way. I also might make some stories in Twine, or some other form of interactive fiction. I even thought of using RPG Maker 2003 as a visual novel tool (but I was mistaken because I thought there was a way to write long passages of text in it rather than the typical textbox). Maybe I still will do that... Really annoyed that almost everything associated with RPG Maker 2003 since Yume Nikki has been horror. Also, there is no Discord server for RPG Maker 2003, which is a big shame considering it has so much history. It is hard to uncover a lot of the information surrounding the engine and despite not experiencing that history, I want to bring it back in some way. My favorite games are classic Japanese RPGs and have been since I was very young, although I also loved Real Time Strategy games (which I would love to make some day), Interactive Fiction and Turn-based Strategy (I love Fire Emblem Geneaology's design ideas and I think Thracia 776 was almost the perfect Fire Emblem, and I think Advance Wars looks really interesting as a multiplayer game and Days of Ruin looks like the coolest game in the series. I am waiting for Re:Boot Camp as my entry to the series.

Anyway, I would love to get in contact with someone who has lots to say about these topics. Sadly, I doubt they exist on this site.

I loved pokemon rpg's.

(+1)

Poke'mon is the most popular ever and does not really lose popularity for whatever reason. I started playing RPGs with first generation of Poke'mon.

That's great

Hi Valerie im an O.G gamer and developer of games , My interests are ALL and I mean ALL games and tools and utilities , Including SFX development , 3d Models (OBJ and FBX formats) Visual Novels , I use Tyranno builder , it is very simple to use and can produce some great effects when used correctly , I own a great Gamoing P.C and an xbox one x with over 1000 games over 3 accounts i go by the gamer tag Ufc4 Addict (lol) I am 49 yrs old but have 3 TOP 30 WORLD high scores on 3 Different games , 720 degrees skateboarding , Tempest X4k , UFC3 All time greatest E.U number 3 for takedowns in a week , Well enough of that im a keen artist too and can animate my 3d models fairly easily , The game engines i use are Unreal 4 , Tyranno Builder If action (VN, Platform,RPG making software) which is fantastic and simple to use too , I have a paid for producers edition of Fruity Loops DAW and various SFX tool and VST's , I am currently not in a project and i would like to discuss your ideas to see if we can collabarate at all ,Plz Plz REPLY to stonky73 :) thx and BYE for now

Interesting introduction. I mostly deal with pixel art and MIDI music. Not really sure how to work with people. I could have missed your message since you did not make any direct reply.  I am really shy when it comes to explaining my game projects. I am not sure if they sound okay "on paper" to most people. They are very groundbreaking topics dealing directly with politics unlike most games. I think most of what I could need help with is pixel art. Not sure if you could help. I am thinking about 3D models in the far future, but I wanted to try building based on the original Playstation if that is possible.

(+1)

Hi again im also late in a reply , But i may be able to help you with the pixel art , I am not an 8 bit pixel artist very much , But i do use gimp art software which is free and has a built in pixelator ,So in theory my ordinary art could be pixellated to look 8 bit ,I also have a couple of pixel programmes and animators but havent had time to play with them , A couple of them i bought from itch devs on here that work quite well (Pixellator) being one of the best there are a few more as well some free , Politically i know nothing im afraid , and thats the truth , I wouldnt want to interfere with your story lines anyway im just interested in doing some art and maybe sound fx for you could you possibly give me your email address so that i can send some examples of pixel art (im no expert this is just a hobby) I hope you will and i hope to hear from you soon :) stonky73@itch.io

I do not know much about working with other people. I guess I might be able to use your help, but not sure if I want to have my email in a public place.

Hello Everybody!

I feel like this is a question that probably gets asked a lot, and if there's a specific thread or subforum I've missed for it then I apologise. Also please forgive any mistakes in my writing, as English is not my mother tongue.

I recently suffered a bad accident and I decided it would be a good idea to mix The Time Machine and Zardoz with my painkillers. Now I want to use my free time to do something I've wanted to do for several years, try to design an online indie game. I would like to create a role-playing, management, and stragegy game set in a post-apocalyptic future, where homo sapiens has largely lost his sapience. Most of humanity is dead, most of the remainder has regressed into vicious yet savages, a small minority have scattered into loose collections of docile yet dull-witted primitives, and an even smaller minority have somehow retained both the strength and intellegents of their ancestors. You (of course) belong to the last group.

The game is going to be divided into several phases. The first part involves taking power of your community through any of several methods. Second part involves building up your society, expanding your power over a larger geographic region, interacting with and probably absorbing many other communities which are run by exceptional people such as yourself. When your army and empire become strong enough, you'll eventually seek to eliminate the threat posed by the savage hordes. Beware though, as even these are not without an guiding force of their own!

To explain simply what I want to do: if you ever played retro-90's games like Microprose' Darklands or KOEI's Celtic Tales, the first part will probably be a lot like that. Second part might have more in common with Microprose' Civilization or KOEI's Ghenghis Khan, though still keeping much of the initial RP elements. Jaja, I played a lot of these older games when I was a kid because I was poor and that was all that worked on an old computer. :)

I can say more if anyone is interested, but I think this is a good basic outline. To begin, what game engine should I use to make this? Unity would be the obvious choice, but it doesn't seem to get along very well with Linux. So maybe Godot would be a better alternative?

Hi, I'm Silver of Froggo. I've been here for a year or even longer, but I never knew this site had a forum...so hello, Im...trying to make games in RPG Maker. Because I've never ever released something aside from a little cutscene for a contest. But I'm working on something right now. It's pretty small project, so I hope I can finish it :/ "

Can somebody direct me to a list of community members? (I may find his user name... I'd like to view topics he recently visited...) Also, if an admin type is online I'd like to chat, maybe connect via MPD or BPD.

This is serious folks! I love the lad dearly, and I'm at a loss...

Hello 🙋🏻‍♀️

(+2)

Hi. Daniel, here.
I've been a pixel artist for nearly 2 years now, and just recently introduced myself to the game dev space.
At first, I wanted to engage myself in the 3D aspect of it but failed to do so due to the complexity of what is needed to make a game in such a dimension. So basically, I'm scared of making 3D games lol.

I shifted my focus towards 2D and since then have been playing around with the Unity engine.
Currently, I haven't released any game yet, but I'm also hoping an idea will pop up soon.

I hope you have a great day; I'm glad to be part of such a wonderful community.

If you do have the time, please be sure to check out my Twitter. There is a lot of good stuff there.
Cheers!

Hello Everybody !

I'm Norman and i started to learn how to make a game in unity few months ago, learning everything from scratch... I'm trying to develop a point and click adventure game name Debunker in which you play Stan, a TV star who offers 4 millions $ to famous TV Star, to anyone who can prove to him that he has paranormal powers...

https://normanbates31.itch.io/debunker

I'm really inspired with Lucas Art adventure Games like Monkey Island or Day of the tentacle, with jokes and enigmas.

I only have a first prototype for now and i'm trying to improve it so i would be so happy to have feedbacks, helps and critics.

I would also love to discover other's people adventure game and share fun !! And meets people who are interested in making games.

Nice to meet you all,

Norman

Hello!

Hi, 👍

(+3)

Hello, new to the itch platform, still got steam and epic games things installed, this community seems to be a lot better by design, I come from a long gaming history from NES but cant keep up with the new way of gaming on pc which seems to be steam epic gog etc. But a lot of goo finds here so far, normally generally look for rpg games

Welcome!!!

Hello ra046!  It's nice to meet someone that grew up in the generation of gaming that I did!  Don't sweat not being able to keep up with modern trends, speaking of which, there's a "retro craze" trending as we speak!  Not sure how you feel about emulation, but around 2 years ago, I invested in an handheld retro console called the Anbernic RG351MP.  What a great investment in gaming that was for me!  I have access on that little device to gaming history from the very start all the way up to Dreamcast!  Hell, just yesterday, when I had time to do so, I went on MAME on that device and played the original Atari Berserk!  It was a joy to rediscover an old classic like that.  I'm an 80s baby myself, however that is one of many cabinets that I didn't have at my local arcade.  Needless to say, while I'm not "trapped in the past", it's great that I still can play those great games!  Not sponsored BTW.  Just sharing my love for yours and my long love for gaming, it's history and evolution!  Right on!

Hello guys! I'm TobywithDino.

I started learning Unity last year.

And I've made a snake game recently.

Although It is a very easy game to make,  and I didnt make it look good.

But I still enjoyed every part of making a game.

Now I'm making a small 2D RPG game.

Hope it can be seen by you guys!

Hello! Cool!  Cool that you make a game with Unity!

(+1)

Thank you!

It was an honor to download and try out your game:  SnakeEatsSnack, TobywithDino!  Your time with Unity, i'm confident, will help you produce amazing content!  It was an honor to play what I did and even though it was simple, it was very, very fun!  I actually love it!  There's plenty of older games and some current designs even that just focus on strong gameplay and fun!  Even though you say that it was a very easy game (I'm amazed you made this with the Unity Engine) to make and it doesn't look good (I'll say that it doesn't look bad at all) I could tell that you did put some thought and some work into it!  It shows TobywithDino and I'll continue to enjoy your creation from time to time!  I look forward to future conversations that we might have and/or seeing where your journey in game development will take you!  Best of luck to you brother!

I wish I possessed the knowledge you do Goblin Life.  It is amazing what you've learned from actually directly interacting and learning from this industry!  No jealousy here though, just admiration for your talents.  Years ago, I got into the Table Top Gaming hobby and have grown quite a collection!  Just playing all those different games made possible with chitboard and plastic...small bits of metal, cardboard etc. and being amazed and inspired by the design alone giving me the ability to see another world and be fully immersed in it started my interest in game design.  It was just this past year, regarding video games, that I happily discovered a "fantasy console" called Pico-8!  I've been learning bit by bit how to create games with it and that journey has been a fun one indeed!  Here's to a love that we all share for gaming!

Hi everyone!

I’m MirathMal, and while I have no game writing experience - this is why I’m here! A lot of Game Writing/Narrative Design courses are around £700 or more, so I decided to have a look around and try and gain some experience and knowledge.

I’m also curious about voice acting, but I don’t get a lot of privacy in my house so I doubt the quality of my attempts.

(And, well, to have some fun with likeminded peoples)

hello!!!

Yo man welcome !

(+1)

I believe we are "cut from the same cloth" MirathMal!  It's very nice to meet you and I look forward to future conversations.  College is something I would still, despite my age (going to be 39 later this year), love to pursue.  However, the cost of tuition now and days is jaw dropping.  Even Vocational schools to pick up a trade forces to student to seek financial aid from a large bank that will happily receive consistent payments from you for years to come, even well after your graduation and hopefully with you working in your field of study...

I believe that you believe in the value of pure and unaltered passion!  Interest, curiosity and passion can take you on a wonderful journey.  I sincerely, wish you the best of luck in your endeavours.  I too have an interest in acting and voice acting myself!  Perhaps in the future, we could bounce some ideas back and forth and maybe even learn from each other!  :)  Take care MirathMal!

Hi all

I'm an indie dev from Wales. .

I'm in my thirties. I used to make little games as a hobby when I was younger, but gave it up for quite a few years.

But now, I'd like to give it another shot.

I'm looking to make some games that are unusual or come with a sense of humour

Welcome, I will be happy to test your games!!! 😀.

Thank you very much :)

It's very nice to meet you Galaeth Games and I look forward to your future work!  The fact that you started on this journey from a young age until present day tells me that you possess a natural talent for this.  That, my future friend, is very special and it's something initiate that most likely can't explained or taught.  You are blessed and I'm very happy that you are continuing on this path.  I hope this platform brings you as much joy as it's been bringing me these past few hours exploring it!

Thanks very much !

Hey there! Online I'm a pixel artist who is creating a megaman inspired fighting game, hopefully I don't drop this one like the many projects I've dropped before. Outside of my online persona I'm a web developer who wants to transition into game development.

I really appreciate what is going on with the Itch.io community and I want to be part of that!

Hey there Weazel Tech!  You've definitely got a talent for pixel art and I wish you luck in your Mega Man/Rock Man inspired fighting game!  I remember playing Capcom's Mega Man: Power Battle in my local arcade and I still play it from time to time on MAME!  I hope your project comes to fruition!  I shall wait patiently and ponder the fighting styles you'll incorporate into this game!  I wish you the very best of luck!

Hello, hello!  I'm David and I'm a native of New Orleans, LA.  I've moved to Connecticut and have been living here for almost 14 years.  I'm a new father and my baby boy is 20 months old.  My boy Henri is a blessing to me.  I can't wait until he's old enough to game with his mom and dad!  That will be amazing!  I've also studied since the age of 3, at art of magic and illusion.  That interest in that field of study has always been constant for me and I've been wondering as of late if "the magic bug" will bite my son too or if he'll simply tell me later in life, "Please put the cards away dad, you're going to embarrass me in front of my friends!"  :D  Either way, all good.  Time will tell as it always does.

My screen name is a play on words.  Back in the 80s instead of "Shumps" we said "Shooters".  I love saying Shump and will continue to!  Shout out to the ShumpJunkie!  His channel is amazing and re-fueled my love and passion I once had for this type of game!  In New Orleans around that time too, I remember saying/asking, "Sup Homie?" to my friends and/or people I wanted to hit up in conversation.  So I combined those two things together to make my screen name.

Even though I'm a hardcore fan of that particular genre, it was Pig Farmer's/Puppet Combo's and Kitty HorrorShow's work that I viewed on YouTube via John Wolfe's channel that brought me here today!  What a great time to join too!  I spent a little over 30 bucks, taking advantage of the Summer Sale getting a Puppet Combo Bundle, then also contributing funds to the amazing project and cause:    Worthy of Better, Stronger Together for Reproductive Rights; getting a HUGE savings on an utterly OBSCENE amount of games/apps/fiction and even some TTRPG goodness!

I had to nab Anatomy by Kitty HorrorShow also!  I've had to have watched John Wolfe's playthrough of it 4-5 times!  Played it for the first time today and it won't be the last!  I'm an aspiring artist/writer/creator myself and the writing in that game, to me, is utterly amazing!  The audio comparisons and analogies of the different parts that make up a house to parts of the human body...  Bravo!  Very, very innovative!  Psychological Horror of the highest order!  Proud to own it now!

Furthermore, this community and platform is amazing!  I've had time today to explore this platform and I hope one day to contribute some creation of mine to this platform.  Even if that doesn't happen though, the fact that I could interact with other fans of the work and indie developers/designers is fantastic!  This platform hosts some truly amazing work, from the ridiculously fun to the thought provoking and highly experimental type of game/app/fiction/etc...!  This is my first day here, but I can't believe how many hours have gone by exploring this place!  I definitely feel at home here.  I look forward to discovering new talent and future conversations with great people!  Take care guys!

My goodness. I didn't even know that there was a community on this website. Hi everyone. Are you doing fine?

LMAO, I'm doing alright, thanks. How are you?

(+1)

I'm doing fine. Just working a game right, it's goin to be a first person shooter.

Nice! How's that going so far?

(+1)

Oh it's going great. Due to some problems, I had to make it over all least twice( this is my third attempt). However, all the experience I've acquired made it possible for me to cover a whole lot of ground in a short period of time. I've been working on the game ever since the beginning of this year. Despite it's difficulties, making games is a lot easier than I thought. I've already made a first person shooter that is on itch.io but, if I'm being honest, I'm not too proud of; I just made it to prove to myself that I know how to make games. The first person shooter that I'm making, will truly live up to my standard of what I consider to be a decent shooter.

(1 edit) (+1)

I know what you mean. I just released my first game, and it took me more than a year and the project was very messy. I think I learned that it's good to invest some time in organizing your code because, especially for larger projects, messy code can become a huge obstacle later on (I had to fight with the code for my game for hours sometimes and it was frustrating) Also maybe it's good to spend a few days thinking through your idea, write down a summary of your game, draw some sketches of your idea (even if they're crappy MS paint drawings, you get a bit of visual reference to look at when you start making the game, it doesn't need to be well-drawn) and get a solid basis for what it is you're going to make before you start actually building the game. I think the main mistake I made was knowing what type of game I wanted to make, but not thinking about a theme or art style until after the fact. These are a few things I didn't do with my first game that I kind of wish I had done and have done with my current project (which has gone much smoother) I think it's solid advice, so I wanted to share. Good luck of course!

(+2)

Hi all. I am new to game development on itch.io. My first tool has been made. Let me know what you think so far if you want. Good luck to all and glad to be here.  Neme is Mojo

Hey i'm Antz I am an independent game developer with 2 years of experience in Unreal Engine. I produce my own beats using garage band and I also enjoy using pixilart for artwork (I used pixilart for all my sprites in my game). My released game is " The Forbidden Web "                                  (Click here -> https://forbiddenweb.itch.io/the-forbidden-web if you want to try it) It is a 2D platformer game with all self made music and self made characters/ animations/ levels etc. I would say 2D animations has been the hardest part because of all the redesigning over 1 wrong pixel.

Hey I'm Walter Massenhove, I've been making games with Unreal Engine for 4 years and really enjoy creating games, also worked on a VR project but it's not what I prefer.
I've released a game named A Maze In on itch.io and I hope you will like it : https://oualt.itch.io/amazein

What I really love is playing with procedural generation, I like not knowing what the levels I've coded will look like !

(+1)

Hello!!

(+1)

Hey I'm James I'm brand new to game dev I've never made anything before but I'm excited to give it a try. If anyone has any advice on 1st games I'd love to hear about it!

(+1)

Huh, I never realized that the Itch app actually had a forum. Expect me to be active here.

That said, my name is Nëïgsëndöïg Cöcülës (Neeg-sen-doyg Ko-kyu-uhls). I'm a gamer with almost 18 years of experience, and essentially a jack-of-all-trades in terms of gaming. I'm a user of Linux and Open-Source software, and plan on doing this for the rest of my life (mainly due to my threat model being relatively low, but I won't get there). I don't just game, as I also play music, write, create content on YouTube (CoculesNation for those interested), and mainly whatever I can get my hands on.

In terms of Game Dev, I did take a class in 12 grade US, but never got to code for those purposes. I was thinking of using an open-source engine with C++ as my language of choice. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Which distro do you use? I tried a few in a VM and settled on Mint, but had used Zorin for a while. I love the choice. Elementary OS tempted me as well. :-)

(+1)

I currently use Nobara Project by GloirousEggroll, but I have used Mint, Manjaro, and Garuda.

Ah, I rememebr Garuda, very colourful. :-) Nobara is new to me, I'll have a look, thanks.

(+1)

Say you take Fedora, but fix up a lot of different aspects to make it point and click, but also high performing for gamers and content creators. That's what GloriousEggroll did with Nobara. If you go to nobaraproject.org, you'll find what he did for this project, with no affiliation to Fedora, despite being a Fedora engineer himself.

(+2)

I'm Mike,

I've been playing video games since the Nintendo days. I love JRPGS and Adventure games. I love Final Fantasy Games as well shooters. Music is a major component for me in any game I play. It can literally make or break a game for me.

A year ago I got into composing music for fun. I've learned a lot in the past year and still have much more to learn but I've had fun creating music. I hope to get better and better with time. I'll be post projects from time to time.

See you out there!

(+1)

I think you'd enjoy rhythm games. I happened to play a few myself.

You're probably right!

What do you recommend?

If you're into VSRG's, I'd recommend OutFox (New StepMania), osu!mania, Etterna (Keyboard StepMania) or Quaver. If not, then I play osu! std. (Standard).

(+1)

They're definitely challenging lol. I think the closest thing I to a VSRG was guitar hero and DDR. I was ok at guitar hero, not so much at DDR though.

DDR is a VSRG, but with feet essentially. GH is more of a different class of rhythm game as far as I know

One things for sure, my hand eye speed needs a lot of work lol. I was trying out Etternia and learned the hard way.

Who am I? I ask myself that a lot. A cat-owned reclusive author probably sums me up. Oh, and a game player. I started with an Atari 2600, then Atari 600XL, C64, Amiga 500, Amiga 1200, then a 486. Various PCs with Windows, now moved on to Linux (Mint Cinnamon) for my new PC. Though I still play C64, Amiga and Spectrum games. :-) I recently redid my website to focus just on my books: https://karldrinkwater.uk/

I'm best known for space opera - my Lost Solace books (long-awaited book three out this month!). Oh, and all my books are reduced to 0.99 this week only as my summer sale. https://books2read.com/ap/xr55B8/Karl-Drinkwater

One day I'd like to investigate game jams or ways to licence people to create stuff based on my Lost Solace books.

(+2)

Hello everyone!

I'm Giorgos, an aspiring game developer with almost 2 years of  Unity experience, and am somewhat of a 2D artist, mainly drawing pixel art. I've been on a road to finishing a single game project recently, but it's been a non-stop flood of ideas and too many implementations of them, which led to all of my projects being abandoned.

A few months back, I started a fan project, which I was sure I could finish, and even decided to make a dev-vlog about it. It was a boss-battle platformer, based on the manga "Chainsaw Man", and after grueling months of set-up for the game (making the code, the assets, etc...), I was demotivated to the point where I decided to move on from it, finding it difficult to both program and make the assets for the game.

Right now, I'm recuperating from game dev, and potentially finding an art partner for future projects, in case either of us will need to motivate the other to finish our project(s)  :)

My video game experience started with Space Wars and Pong. I got an Atari 2600 when it came out. I've casually played games on different consoles throughout my life. However, at the arcade, if there wasn't a Space Duel, I put my quarters into pinball and pool. My money went a lot further that way.

I learned a bit about programming teaching myself on my high school's TRS-80 Model IIIs. The staff had no idea what to do with them, so they let the few of us who were interested figure it out. My 1st home computer was a Sinclair ZX81. I did very little with the membrane keyboard. I moved up to an Atari 1200XL. I mostly programmed graphics and music. In college, I once sat in the library avoiding learning spreadsheets by writing a code breaking game in QBasic on a TRS-80 so I could sit there and play it. That's my only game so far.

I've been making many styles of art, craft, and music with various analog and digital devices most my life. I walked away from 2 computer graphics jobs in the 80's. I have a natural desire to create, but I was out of place among the business people who requested my services. So, I've been creating home décor, analog games, and gifts. My music has never been in demand. People would say my stuff sounds like video game music. I'm about to put that apparently natural ability to use. About a year ago, I started looking into making 2D video games.

About 5 years ago, I had a desire to put my dreams, which for me are eerie warnings of false realities in my waking state, into a 3D game. I got Blender's shortcuts down and learned things like parallax occlusion mapping in Unreal. I used Camel Audio's Alchemy to make unnerving new age music. Having spent most my life studying and working in the horror industry, the project was pretty frightening. I then had a revelation that frightening everyone wasn't going to fix anything. I got rid of my gaming rig I had acquired just for this purpose and got a laptop which I still use. I also got rid of my electric guitar and got a classical.

By the summer of 2020, my digital creativity was mostly with Arduino. Then, I watched V for Vendetta play out in real life. The Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality introduced me to itch.io. I was awed by the amount of mental exploration and discovery before me. I saw multiple pasts and paths. I found similarities and patterns. I found people who seemed to want to progress no matter what. The place felt unflappable. I experienced gaming in new ways and realized a lot about myself through the expressions of others. I am unable to give back monetarily at this point in my life, but I want to contribute through sharing. Through rigorous experimentation with games on itch, I've come to enjoy 2D pixel platform games the most. I've also come to appreciate the ease and unfolding complexity of Godot. My 2D platformer will always be free. I will enable the donation option, with 10% to itch, as I have been in debt with no income.

I'm having a good time being part of the many avenues of expression here. I appreciate all of you.

I'm Jawi, I've been messing with gamedev for about 6 years now and finally released my first game about a week ago.

I work with Unity, mainly 2d for now but i hope to make 3d games in the nearish future too.

I like lizards and cute horror stuff

My name is Amel,  I'm currently developing a visual novel type game alone: "Mysteries of the Twos". For now, this game will only be available in French (But I'm planning to release an english version if enough people are interested in my project).

This is my first ever project/game, and for now only the Prequel is available. I'm making this game alone, in my spare time, from coding, to drawings and even musics (some of them :D).

Here's the link if you're interested: Mysteries of the twos

Looks like the Kyles better watch out, they might just break the sound barrier with their speedy hearts! The Road Runner,  he's got some competition! And don't worry, there'll be plenty of horror to keep things interesting. Toot toot! X )

Hi all!

My name is Rhys and I'm a part time indie game developer, currently developing games for Unity.

I've worked for a few small game development/software companies as a tech artist, programmer and occasionally a musician. Some of the more notable projects that I've worked on are Wales Interactive's: Master Reboot, Gravity Badgers and the trailer for Soul Axiom and Blind Sky Studio's: Mandagon - but I've been developing games since MUD's were popular :P.

My favourite things I've done game developer wise has been making silly music/voice acting.

Playing wise, I have a thing for text based games, the Sega glory days and anything competitive with a K/D or a scoreboard :/

Other hobbies include playing guitar/vocals in a metal band (black metal is my jam), painting, history/eastern philosophy and... Collecting more hobbies.

I'd love to mash up all the things I've mentioned above and make something really unique. Time is the enemy.

If anyone wants to chat about games/mostly anything else drop me a reply. This looks like a great community and I'm looking forward to getting involved in it :)

Cheers!

Hey Rhys, I'm BoneScab and I'm a 15 year old professional couch potato and amateur video game player :). My skills include being able to hold a controller and occasionally pressing the right buttons by accident. I'm really looking forward to trying out the games you develop, especially if they include a button for pizza delivery. Can't wait to chat more about games and your other hobbies, especially the black metal band thing, never heard of that before!

(+1)

Thank you and nice to meet you (so to speak)! Occasionally pressing the right button by accident is a crucial, I have on happenstance managed to do this myself on a few occasions :P. Hopefully I'll have some more content out soon :)

Hello all. I’m Kit.

I’ve been making small games for at least 4 years now. Only recently did I decide to start uploading my games on Itch. I have a catalog of 30+ games in various states of polish. I will most likely not be uploading all of them here, but the goal is to add as many as can be considered playable. My work covers a lot of genres and styles, both artistically and in gameplay.

All my work to date is in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. With very little use of any libraries or engines. This forces me to keep things simple and direct. You’ll find that most of my games only take a few minutes to understand and play. I tend to build in public over on Codepen. So you can find many of my games on there as well.

I’m open to chatting about my work and the processes involved.

Hopefully I can earn your follows, comments, rating, and more.

Keep it spicy out there.

:)

Hellooha Nice Peeps and Real Creeps out there!

I am Krisse Tuominen. My age is 42 and as a huge science fiction Nerd, I love it.

I've been dibble-dabbling my whole with tabletop and paper and pencils RPGs. I am happy that my edgy lordy home-printed and xeroxed zines from my teenage years in 'the 90s are nowhere to be found. Those would make anyone cringe nowadays. I have evolved and developed a lot after those times. For example, a functioning brain.

Now in my later years, I've been published in the finely printed magazine (the Game-themed Sarjari magazine Spring 2020), and digitally in Savage World's SWAG -publishing program (Fall 2020). I've been publishing material in DriveThrough, since the latter part of 2020, using my publishing label Coming Through RPGs. I am publishing my own fanzine Parempia Ruumita aka Bettah Bodeeschz, and Take the Edge -magazine which is dedicated and licensed to publishing material for the Atlas Games' Over the Edge the 3rd Edition.

Now I have arrived at a very nice and warm place called Itch.io. I've played a lot of amazing indie games here, and communicated with totally awesome peeps. And I've managed to participate in two Games Jams here. The first one was Friday the 13th Ringling Game Jam. I managed to publish the first draft of  Everyday can be Your Lucky Friday the 13th if you're (un)Lucky & Superstitious Enough TTRPG. I've got good feedback about it, and now I continue developing the game even further. The second jam I am participating in is 12-Word RPG Jam and  I submitted my minimalistic nano-RPG Fallen Under the Darkness for it. I have received very kind and nice comments and feedback for it. People seem to love the game as much as I loved to make it. I have a few other 12-word TTRPGs under construction and I keep on jamming on the 12-word RPG Jam.

I am currently also in other cool Jams because I love how many things are happening here right now. So awesome to be able to take part in this all.

Have a Good Day, Mornin, Day and Night!

Wishing You all Good,

Krisse Tuominen,
an RPG enthusiastic from the bottom of my heart.

I am someone that said $50 was too much for an update, even though I bought Inheritance Ladeina's Path last year, I now no longer have access to the game page. That speaks volumes. hello. I'm Kevin. I am making a survival card game 'Stack Island'.

It's fun to make a game that makes something new by combining something like Lego or alchemy. Making games is fun, but also quite hard work. Nice to meet many developers here, let's make a lot of fun things together.

(+3)

Hello, KEvin!

Hello!

Hey there!

Hi! I'm CyberPhoenix and I'm new to itch.io. I've been wanting to get a job in the gaming industry but haven't had any luck with it. It was suggested to me to join itch.io to get my name out their a bit but contributing to peoples projects and making and putting up my own assets, etc up here. I also know a lot of stuff about the history of video games and am also willing to share my experiences with game development and messing around with projects of my own in unity to help out those who are new to unity or game development as a whole.

(+2)

Hi Cyber, it seems you're new on itch, can't wait to see the games you create.

(+3)

hopefully I can put all these years of unity experience from collage, uni, etc to good use here and make something, that should function properly,  with a bit of luck.

(+3)

Yes, this is the right place for it <3

(+3)

Welcome. Good luck and don't give up!

(+5)

My name is Don and I am new to the itch thing, unless you count poison ivy. LOL!! I just added my first pack under the name Blue Sanata Games. I do 3d modeling and level design and am playing around with rigging characters So far only humanoids. I hope to see some amazing stuff from all of you. :)

Well, Hello there!

You have absolutely come to the right place, looking for some amazing stuff. Itchio is full of that <3

(+3)

As someone who had to do some rigging for part of a module at uni, I know how much of a pain it is  so I have a lot of respect for you for giving it a shot. Good luck and I hope to see some fantastic work done by you, because I know you'll ace it.

(+2)

With all the critics out there, it is refreshing to get get some positive feedback.

You could start by telling us about your hobbies and interests, and maybe why you are here.

yeah can be hard to figure out just how to introduce yourself, don't worry happens to all of us. I'm not the greatest with introducing myself either. (mostly because I can go on very long tangents, usually about video games)

Hi everyone it's probably a little bit late to introduce myself since i've been on itch for about the last 5-6 months but here goes. My name is Daniel and i'm from Scotland my profile name is DannySmashChamp which i picked originally for yoyo games as irony as when smash bros brawl was first released i took part in a tournament playing as link and got absolutely destroyed in the first round by someone playing as zelda. I've been prototyping various ideas for games originally for gamemaker 7 (i currently use gamemaker 8, i have used studio but went back) since i was about 15 (I'm now 32) minus a few years when i did consider giving it up altogether but true passions never die. I've also studied HTML5 & CSS3 when i was at college. I have only released my noughts and crosses game (which i was quite happy with the results of so decided to publish it when i joined itch) and my passion project which is Zelda which i have learned soooo much from as i've been making it so decided to publish that as well even though it's still in the development stage (but improving all the time) so everyone who is interested can play it and hopefully see the results as it continually gets updated. Marketing for these games has been impossible for me to do as i actively ignore social media as i think it can be quite a toxic environment and for me it doesn't mix with (don't really want to get to personal here but various anxieties) and also the fact it is a zelda game i have seen so many comments throughout the years about Nintendo and the dreaded Cease and Desist action that could be taken gulp. Anyway i'm starting to ramble a bit so i'll finish here with a thanks for reading.

Hi 👋

I'm Dennis from Germany and currently working on two games that I hope I can finish before my studies start in October. They both take place in the same world and have almost the same events, but one is in the form of a Visual Novel explaining the story in-depth, and the other one is the 2D-Platformer version of it. That's about it, it's nice to be here 😁

I have a couple of games here on itch, one of them is a beta for a planet collecting space sim. I am also working on a web game behind scenes

As I get back into the rhythm of game dev I hope to smaller games and experiences. I hope to find lots of inspiration from the community

I'm CoderEli, I prefer being called Eli tho. I'm a begginer coder still, I started on scratch but i'm trying gdevelop now, I'm hoping to learn Lua and java in the future.

(+2)

Hi there! I am Nick. Not totally new in game development (when I was younger, was running my small game studio). I am a good manager, not bad storyteller, game designer. But I am very bad in coding and totally useless in the matter of creating art. So, I am trying utilize what I have to launch some new games. So, I am going to use simple solutions for getting maximum outcome (most of my art in games will be AI generated for sure).

Getting back to game development after very long break is much harder than doing it first time, but I still have best hopes.

If you are using Telegram and interested in AI generated content for games, check out my channel. I am posting AI stuff for games, cool gifs, my cat pictures and just different sorts of junk I find interesting.

Or if you want discuss AI content\weather\my cat\game development - feel free to join small Telegram chat.

Cheers!

Hey! I'm Hammad and I've been making Unity games for 5 years now and do 2D character design. I also program in Python and dabble every now and then in HTML. I'm currently working on a few mobile games and way too many game jam projects at the same time.

(+4)

Hi everyone,

My name is Michael, I grew up playing the Sega Master system and Megadrive (Genesis) and I still own most games consoles from the 80s to now. I love platformer games and Pixel Art, my absolute favourite game is Comix Zone on the Megadrive.

I started making video games a few years back, originally building games for Mobile, aside from that, I was doing contracts for other companies etc. I have now started my own Indie Games studio called MI Pixel, I am the sole person at the studio, so, I do the design work (with help from my other half), development work and have learned Pixel Art so I can do the art work too. I released my first game on Steam last year in Early Access and managed to bring it out of Early Access last month.

I am not too good at social/community boards etc but I am trying to learn how to be better at it xD

So, yeah, thats me. Hi! *waves"

(+2)

yeah, I'm not that great at socializing myself tbh, but yeah, welcome to itch and I feel that if you need any advice or help with your projects, this is the place to go. Just going my your profile pick alone, I think you've got some serious skill with pixel art, lot easier than modelling, is something I would be saying if my current project wasn't going to involve it down the line because I foolishly decided I wanted to have 2d sprites in 3d environments and effects.

(+2)

Thanks for the warm welcome CyberPhoenix150.

Yeah, my main skill I am lacking is marketing xD

Thank you for the kind words, I started learning pixel art a couple years back as I needed art in my games and I can't do other forms of it xD Aside from that, I like Pixel Art :D

Well, I hope you manage to work out the 2D and 3D combination, it can definitely be tricky!

(+4)

Hello Everyone!

I am Zee, and I am not good at talking to people. I am starting to learn C++ for game development though. I want to become a game designer or just work in the field of game development since I was 11. I like pixel art games a lot! I love drawing, painting, skating, cooking, playing games and just binge watching youtubers play games or twitch streamers. Well I don't what to add so, I guess byee.

(+3)

Hey Zee! Nice to meet you

Hey my name is Tulpas and im an aspiring edm artist/producer and I've been wanting to branch out into making music for videogame soundtracks as well as potentially doing sound design too (i.e. sound fx and ambiance within the games). Hello everyone, my name is Pablo Roldan and I am a 49-year-old skater and filmmaker from Chile. I am here to share with you the exciting news about our small game development company, Metacapture, and our latest project, Dead Skate.

As a skater and filmmaker, I have always been fascinated by the world of skateboarding and its unique culture. When the pandemic hit, it inspired me to create a game that combined my two passions with a unique twist: zombies.

With the help of my team of five talented individuals, we have been working hard on Dead Skate, a thrilling and action-packed video game that combines skateboarding and zombies. We have launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the development of a playable demo with two levels, three enemies, and two customizable outfits.

As a new developer in the industry, we are excited to bring a fresh perspective to the gaming world and offer something unique and exciting to players. We believe that our passion and dedication to the project, combined with the support of the gaming community, will help us achieve our goal of bringing the joy of skateboarding to the world, even in the face of a zombie apocalypse.

We appreciate any support you can give us, whether it be through our Kickstarter campaign or simply spreading the word about our project. Thank you for your time and we look forward to sharing more about Dead Skate with you in the future.

Hey everyone! I'm a hobbyist gamedev who enjoys participating in game jams with my friends.

I'm very passionate about video games. I'm even working on an undergrad research project about game features!

Hopefully my research will advance our understanding of video games and offer insights that are useful to game dev!

Pls consider filling out this survey if you have time. It will only take a few minutes!

Hi!

(+3)

Hey all,

I'm Guy but normally go by Kimpo. I've been on here for a while but never really posted a heap. So thought I'd introduce myself and share what I do.

Been playing around with game development for a while now using game make and really enjoy it. I've made a couple of games, one is only on steam, a platformer which I'll add to Itch soon and the other I'm currently working on is a retro styled FPS. You can view the page here which I also have a demo, and it's definitely a good featured demo, just if you like the game style!

Otherwise I love game dev, also have a few assets on my page too.

Hope you enjoy what I've got and look forward to hearing from everyone!
