It's ok that the menu isn't working properly. The graphics are cool, I like the sounds and the music. The movement and moving are a bit wonky, but it fits the chosen genre and ends up in hilarious deaths. I like this game already! Is there a newer version of the game?

This is a very odd, quirky, and quite surreal game. It has a lot of weirdness in it, which is good. It is atmospheric. But the sounds, controls, and graphics are pretty crude. Feels unfinished and not just in a good (retroish) way. I still find this an interesting game. It has some great ideas and all in all, it's an atmospheric, simplistic horror game that has a surreal oddness in it. 3/5.

Oh, wow! I loved this. This is a simple, a bit quirky mystery and survival suspense/horror & detective game. It gave me shivers, it scared me, and it managed to be suspenseful and spooky. 4/5.

It's a scary horror shooting game. It has the right kind of creepiness, crawling horror, and desperation that fit in this kind of genre game. The sounds are simple and crude, but effective. The controls are way too clunky for my tastes, although they fit the selected style of gaming. After all, this is horror and survival gaming.  What it lacks in playability, it makes up for on n the story and atmosphere side of the game. All in all, this is an interesting indie-horror piece of gaming art. 4/5.

Thanks for making and running this jam! <3

Oh, wow! This truly catches my eye and grabs my attention. Very absurd, surreal, and captivating image. Well-done! <3

Oh, wooow, that looks soo nice!

Hello, you TEAsters and Tea-Jammers!

I want to share something with you:
https://boardgamegeek.com/blog/16853/blogpost/182208/as-of-part-tea-themed-sunda...

I like this. It evokes memories of Ultima V, Ultima VI, and Final Fantasy VI. And that is a good thing.

Cool! This font looks awesome!

I salute Thee!

Is it ok to submit a tabletop role-playing game (material) for this jam?

Sounds very cool!

This is simple but fun! Played it through and enjoyed it!

This looks great! Very cool and good-looking art!

My progress in Sunday Zine Club #19 Jam

I've found and downloaded great art pics. I've played and read some games and texts, and I've written about those. I am on the sixth raw text page. I am happy about my steady progress.

The Queer Vampire Game Jam 2026

As you might have noticed, I'm a participant of the Queer Vampire Game Jam 2026 on itch.io. It's an interactive fiction jam. I am making a Choose Your Path book game. Although it's more like a fanzine than a book, you know what I mean.

I had already created a spine for my 'Choose Your Route' game, but then realized it was too complex and long for the jam. Then I wrote a shorter one in Finnish for near-future purposes. I am making a Finnish TTRPG, and for that, I need a short introductory adventure in the form of a Choose Your Adventure Game.

For the needs of this jam, I made an English version. I also inserted some texts and ideas for the Adventure Choicescore/spine file. Now I'm on the 3rd raw text page. I have made a short list of possible working titles for the queer jam vampire game. Haven't chosen any yet. I am fiddling with the themes and playing with the ideas. I've downloaded some fonts and art for the game adventure.

My progress in the Themed Horror Game Jam #23

I have been looking for suitable fonts, images, templates, and backgrounds for the game product I'm making. I've found some excellent stuff and downloaded it. Things are slowly going ahead.

What is this log entry about?

As some of you already know, I am currently joining a few jams on itch.io. I've already written three times  about my progress in Sunday Zine Club #19 (more info:  https://itch.io/jam/sunday-zine-club-19). I continue on that in this log entry. I'll also continue telling about the Themed horror game jam #23 (more info: https://itch.io/jam/themed-horror-game-jam-23) that started yesterday evening. But first, I'll tell you about the Queer Vampire Game Jam 2026 that started yesterday.

The Queer Vampire Game Jam 2026

Queer Vampire Game Jam 2026 (https://itch.io/jam/queer-vampire-game-jam-2026) started yesterday.  Some info about the jam:

Queer Vampire Game Jam 2026, 10th Jan – Feb 20th 2026. An interactive fiction game jam. Choose-your-own-adventure books are accepted. Your project must focus on queer characters and vampires. Relationships, romantic or platonic, as well as queer experiences, whether gay, lesbian, bisexual, in the spectrum of asexuality, aromantic, trans, and nonbinary - this is an inclusive jam. You can write from a human or vampire perspective (or both!) The vampire is a versatile tool, and you are not restricted to any one specific depiction of it.

I am planning to make a Choose Your Own Adventure book during the jam time. It'll be a book PDF that you can use on your screen, or you can print it and read it as a physical playbook. For obvious reasons, it shall have vampires, supernatural happenings, and it is Queer in many ways.

I started yesterday making the core skeleton of my Choose Your Own Adventure gamebook. The gamebook will contain: a) Intro with info, b) The Rules, and c) the Adventure’s possible choices structure. Plus some info about the game jam and links to itch.io. Currently, I have just a single raw text page written in a small font, but it's definitely a start.

My progress in the Themed Horror Game Jam #23

The day before yesterday, the jam started, and I decided my horror game would use the themes of an endless ocean and islands out of time. I played with some ideas in my head, searched for some art material (freepik.com has a lot of horror art), and downloaded pictures. Today I continued searching for suitable art pictures, found some, and downloaded those on my laptop.

My progress in Sunday Zine Club #19 Jam

Yesterday and today, I wrote a text about my chaga (mushroom) tea experiences. I fiddled with the basic layout. Now I have almost 5 raw material pages. I also found more art for the fanzine.

Looks honedtly awesome.

Thanks for making this. I read it through on a one-sit. Very captivating text and well put ideas. Also sheds light on things and gives people information.

Jammety jam, there's jam everywhere!

What is this log about?

I am currently joining a few jams on itch.io. I've already written about my plans and progress in Sunday Zine Club #19 (more info in   https://itch.io/jam/sunday-zine-club-19) jam. I continue on that chosen path on this log. I'll also tell you about another itch.io jam.  Themed horror game jam #23 (more info: https://itch.io/jam/themed-horror-game-jam-23) started yesterday evening.

Themed horror game jam #23

Themed horror game jam #23 started yesterday evening. The jam has three different themes to pick from. Plus three different bonus themes on every main theme. Yesterday I showed the jam page for My Loved One, and they liked it. We talked about the jam, about certain ideas in it, had a silly brainstorming for fun and giggles,  and then we joked about the stuff we made up. Then  I made my mind about the themes I'll use.

I unceremoniously decided to make my horror jam game using the first theme: Endless Ocean. Oh, what a shocking revelation?!? *self-irony inserted heavily* After all, to many, I am the person who has run these weird little "My Island" jams. To be exact, I've run two This Island Comes with Me JAMs. So, oh, wow, I chose the Endless Ocean theme. Who would ever guessed that?  And it is even less surprising that I am going to use all three bonus themes given for that theme. And yes, one of the bonus themes is "Islands Out Of Time". But at least I am consistent on certain themes that I most certainly love.

So, it is now decided that my horror game entry will be on an endless ocean, and it has islands out of time. So it will be something absurd, surreal, oddballish, and I am thinking to lean more on intriguing suspense than on sheer horror. I already have some ideas, some text sketches, and some art to go with it all.

My progress in SZC #19 Jam

Yesterday I got a text from my game-making friend Jonas. They also gave a link to a board game that fits perfectly in the theme of my fanzine. I also got some material from Raymond: a picture, a link to a game in the zine's theme, and short texts. I edited both materials in my raw material file. I also checked out some games, usable engines, and assets. I downloaded some usable art for the magazine. I played some games and used some computer programs and web-based material. Also managed to write something about those games and programs.

Today I wrote and edited some more material. I checked the material with Jonas and Raymond. Raymond made some changes to their material. I added Raymond's yogurt picture to their text about chai-flavoured yogurt. Now I have almost 4 pages of raw text, including the picture scaled small. Tomorrow I will write something more. I like that things are going forward. I am very happy that people have an interest in my fanzine. I am even happier that people want to be part of the fanzine.

Whoa, wow, oh yeah! That looks great!

Oh Wow! That looks Cool! <3

SPILLING THE LEAVES OF TEA

I continue to share my development in making SPILLING THE LEAVES OF TEA fanzine.

I wrote an open call for material to be published in the pages of Spilling the Leaves of Tea. I published the call in a small but active gaming and nerd culture-oriented group on Facebook.  I'm planning to make a project page for the fanzine on itch.io. I've found interesting and fitting pictures for the magazine.  I may use one of the pictures of KamranAydinov as a cover picture.

For this fanzine jam, I listed games, assets, and computer programs. The list's material consists of thematic products. The theme is tea, teahouses,  tearooms, tea parties,  and related materials and activities. I've played and read games from the list. I have also written about my experiences with them. I've managed to write raw material for more than two pages.  I'm pleased with my progress. Got to mention as a happy sidenote: I'm excited that in GeekQuestions, Rayzg has suggested a thematic game (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/423675/chai-tea-jazz) for me to check out!

SPELLING THE LEAVES OF TEA

The column and section named Spelling the Leaves of Tea that will be published in Spilling the Leaves of Tea is reserved as a space for texts regarding thoughts and experiences about tea.  One of my indie gaming developer friends got interested in my fanzine project, and they promised to write about the meaning of tea to them. I will publish their material in the Spelling the Leaves of Tea section. In the published fanzine, in this section,  you will find text and word games for your amusement. I already have some game sketches. And obviously, I am open to material made by other creators.

All in all, I am happy with how the teaball of Spilling the Leaves of Tea is currently rolling. Thanx for everyone for giving me encouragement, comments, hints and tips, and even some material for the fanzine!

Hello everyone! I am still interested in hearing about the projects other game jammers are making for this jam.

I am sharing with you my development in making Spilling the Leaves of Tea. I have managed to write more texts. I'm already on the third raw page.  I'm pleased with my progress.

Cool, cool! Nice that you like what I'm doing. I also dig what you are making! I am planning to write something about my tea experiences: my favourite places to drink tea, nice memories of having tea somewhere, opinions on tea houses and tea shops that I've been visiting, and of course something about my favourite tea(s). And I love the idea of tea recipes! <3

Hello fellow-jammers! ;-)

I am interested in what people are currently either making or planning to make for the jam. What kind of fanzine, what kind of material, what is the name for Your Fanzine?  I am currently making a fanzine about pretty much anything tea-related. It's called Spilling the Leaves of Tea. I have already made a 1-page raw material text page and gathered suitable pictures for the zine art. Zine will have texts about (itch.io) games about tea making, running a cafeteria, and also easy, simple games and programs. I am also collecting a link list to articles on tea and suspiciousness.

I am open for collaporations, so if you want to make art or texts for my fanzine, just contact me.

If you are interested in knowing more about my fanzine, I just published a process log about it: https://itch.io/t/2684157/general-development-log-about-my-game-making-process?b...

Jamming again!

I decided to participate in a few interesting itch.io jams. One of them is Sunday zine club #19. Its theme is tea, and participants can choose how they interpret it. Link to the jam page:  https://itch.io/jam/sunday-zine-club-19

The jam started a couple of days ago.  I am currently making a fanzine about pretty much anything tea-related. The zine will contain links to articles that discuss the superstitions associated with tea and the rituals of preparing and drinking it. I will also write texts about games where you make tea, run a teahouse,  or have a tea party. I'm thinking I'll write something about running a cafeteria, bar, or restaurant. After all, most of the cafeterias, restaurants, and bars serve tea.  I will write about simple, easy games and web generators that bring you ease, calmness, and good vibes. To me, having tea is a chillaxing, mellow, and nice experience, so according to me, easy, simple games and programs fit well with the theme.

I already have 1 written raw text page. I have downloaded theme-fitting art from freepik.com and pexels.net. I am in the middle of the thinking process of the cover page layout. I got to either make or choose the cover picture. I already have a great name for the fanzine. And with this post, I will publicly tell that the magazine is called "Spilling the Leaves of Tea."
