Aiming for a demo release for June. It's just some of the promised features and the new ones aren't completely working as intended yet so still trying to fix them before then.

Glad to hear you had fun. I'll check out the VOD later today if it's up. Apologies for not being there when you live streamed it. Timezones basically put it in the ungodly hours of the night for me. XD

A lot of the points you brought up are spot on actually. The movements have been reported as looking a bit weird since many of them were just default supplied Unreal ones which are kinda hit or miss for some people. 

Voices is also a valid point as I only had two specific archetype voice libraries. Which were tough quiet dude (not really matching Kyosuke and more Taichi) and oneesan voice (def not Chiyoko and more fitting for Sayaka) but it's all I had on hand at the time since the aforementioned voice libraries were actually for the protags of another game I'm working on (and there the libraries fit the personalities). I suppose I could have left them silent. 

Combat was as good as I could have gotten it in such short notice. You should have seen the very first iteration of it before the jam got a 2 day extension that allowed me to turn it into the current one. I'm not disagreeing with you however, it absolutely can be improved with more time. 

I'm not sure if I'll turn this into a full game or make a sequel. If anything I mostly wanted feedback since some of the concepts I applied here, I will be applying to the other aforementioned game since they have slightly similar concepts and feels to them.

Haha, yeah I like the new art too. I wasn't originally gonna bother but I had enough people donate for the game I was like fuck it why not get a proper custom art of it instead of the placeholder free to use mask. XD

It's kinda expected tbh. You have to go into making games with the expectation that it'll probably not get much attention. So when it does, you're pleasantly surprised. And if it doesn't, well you were prepared for that outcome so the disappointment is more manageable.

Just never give up. My first game took almost 2 years to even get to 280 downloads. My newest one got to that amount in just over a month.

It'll get easier the more you try.

Ah ha. This game isn't that good since it was my first one. ^_^; I unfortunately can't even work on it anymore since project is corrupted now so it's impossible for me to increase the POV. But, I am remaking it in Unreal Engine with lots of extras. Look forward to it! :D

I'm sorry. There was also a guide included with the download and it also tells you there isn't an Ending E.

There is no ending E. If you get Ending F, it tells you that ending E doesn't exist. XD Just a cheeky dev joke.

Da puns tho. lol Thanks for the review. You weren't the only one wanting checkpoints but creating one of those was sadly not possible with the short amount of time I had. But, I'll make sure to include such a thing in future games that aren't tight on time.

I debated if I should restrict the camera somewhat but I decided not to and let the player decide if they want to behave or not. XD

Thank you for the video! I noticed the small bugs you mentioned and  I'll fix them. Ending C is bit hard to get so I'll spoil it.

- Kyosuke goes to the bath and dies.
- Lead the fake Sayaka out from the dojo. 
- Outside, instead of going back inside to Taichi, check the water near the dojo and the big tree. There will be something there that wasn't before.

Oh sorry, you're actually playing the old build. I uploaded and updated a new build a day or 2 after the first upload. Please download version 1.1 for all the new content and improved combat. :)

Really liked this. The atmosphere and visuals were spot on. The shooting mechanic was decent too but got a bit repetitive after a while. Amazing job still.

I think this was my favorite game from the ones I tried in the game jam. Really good sound and atmosphere. The tentacle creature was realllllly good. I like it a lot the way it moves around. Otakemaru themselves also looked well done and frightening.

It's not exactly a bug per say. I actually did have that in but it was purely for debug purposes. I forgot to remove it from the final build. ^_^;

Which one? The really active beat or the more quiet one? If it's the former you can't cos that was a custom order for me on fiverr. If it's the latter you can get it from a  paid bundle.

Ah sorry for the performance issues. I did a few tweaks to the new build but unsure if it will be noticeable. I'll see if I can optimize further down the line. I did add a lot of little things that may make giving it another look worthwhile. :3

Hmmmm. I did some research and not entirely sure if I can solve it (since no one else seems to have had that problem) but I'll be putting a new build up in a couple of days that will hopefully solve it. As well as fix a couple of bugs, some more freedom to explore during certain sequences and possibly improved combat.
