Just gave it a try. For me personally the keyboard controls weren't entirely natural - I kept hitting the wrong key and doing the wrong thing. Also at the very beginning, it says press any button for the menu, but the only key that would actually work was J.
Otherwise, the game is very fun! All enemy sprites and scenery was bright and attractive, the music was perfect for the genre, and it's got some good overall polish to it.

Okay, I understand that there is a problem with the input of the menu and then the keyboard controls.

Wow! I'm glad that playthrough is still memorable to some people, it's been six years or more so it's really cool that you still remember it!
Your games look awesome as well! True Colors has such an interesting premise. Down the road when I have time, I'll be sure to check it out! My attention span is currently shot, and I need to fix it to devote nine hours to a VN, but from what I've read it seems worth it.

I checked out the game page and trailer, and this game has great appeal! Simplistic in the right way, that has that retro feel. Also the soundtrack for the trailer is perfect 👌
Hi my name is Frans and I am an aspiring game developer. I know pixel art and have been working on a game werfast.
This game; minigame i want to create will be a tactical coop defense horror game. with 4-6 players local play which takes place with some kind of zombie/mutant enemies to infest the whole city.
Gameplay:
1-6 players coop defend against horde/wave attacks. each player play as s soldier to arm themselves with different small arms.: assault rifle,pistol,grenade launcher,grenade etc.
In the fight they will also customize themself with different gear like plate carrier to reduce damage.
The team structure
1 Art director and level design
6-10 pixel artist
1 marker
1 programmer.
time frame: 2-3month (can be prolonged)
It will be marketed on steam and each of the team will receive the same amount of share for the profit!

Love this pixel dungeon crawler style! I do have some feedback about the store page: all of the screenshots look almost identical, which I appreciate is kinda inevitable because of the game's visual style, but maybe trying to get a couple of different scenes interspersed between the walls-and-monster shots would go a long way toward capturing people's attention. Also, the trailer is similarly repetitive, so could possibly be shorter to avoid repeating too many similar scenes, as it makes the game look more boring - and I'm sure it's not! The music is also oddly cheerful, despite the game having more dark visuals. Perhaps some more tense/battle style music would be better (I'm a composer and can help with this if needed).
That being said, don't be discouraged, as I like these kinds of games, and it looks nice!
Actually, that's just about it. The game is just short and I can only show limited screens, so i opted to show the monsters. For the music, I unfortunately didn't search hard enough for something more appropriate. I fully agree with your points, and I'll do my best to keep them in mind for my next game.
