Thank you! The menu or in-game? The main menu uses Mitchsky Heat UI asset as the base but i turned off a lot of animations. Its very heavy for what this game is, might make a simpler version later. in game in the netmap and battle there's not really any UI its mostly simple buttons and sprites/styled from the old game. I'd love to connect if you're a Unity dev! through the discord perhaps?
I'm looking for reviews on how immersive the game is with its dice combat, whether non-dice random combat results would be better. Does the dice take you out of it? Or does it enhance the experience by letting you get involved with the underlying numbers?
additionally, if you are intrigued by the idea of a squadron based tactics game, can I ask what specifically are you looking for in this type of player fantasy? (do you want to manage the roster of pilots, etc)

much thanks

Hi! thanks for trying out this game. If you're interested in playing more I can invite you to the discord where we have multiplayer matches too.
1) thank you
2) Yes there's a lot of experimentation trying to get the game easy to use and understand. Lots of trial and error. thanks for your feedback!
3) Pilots will level up and their level will unlock new skills or moves. (both for roguelike campaign mode and separately for multiplayer PVP)
4) yes you will also be able to select skills for the pilots when they level up, as well as some modifications or equipment, cosmetics for the units.
Amazing art and style and the tiles look amazing! I am very much looking forward to playing this full game. I love the board game too. I have a couple of very minor suggestions: allow left mouse button to drag and move the camera as well. middle mouse is ok, but I think people really like left click ( in my own gamedev experience).
The fullscreen texture would look cool as a texture on the board itself rather than overlaid on the screen. (just my own opinion).
I'd also like to be able to rotate the camera around the board, at least to the other isometric views. Game is already feeling amazing! thanks for posting.
i think that's the end point of the demo. I suggest you try my own remake, which is free and complete: https://superessence.itch.io/nightfall
