It was a gloomy autumn evening when the gravedigger named Jonas set off for his work at the cemetery near the abandoned asylum. The cemetery was remote, surrounded by dense forest, and the cold of the season was slowly creeping into his bones.

The asylum, once infamous for its malevolent rituals on the patients, had been empty and deserted for many years. Jonas was a practical man who didn't believe in superstitions. He tended to the graves of the deceased and tried to carry out his work conscientiously.

As he reached the cemetery, he immediately noticed something strange. It was quieter than usual. Normally, he would hear the distant sounds of nature or the wind rustling through the trees, but on this evening, everything was silent. Even the lights that usually flickered in the distant mausoleum of the asylum appeared to be extinguished.

Jonas hesitated for a moment before continuing on his way. However, the closer he got to the cemetery, the more he was overcome by an overwhelming sense of discomfort. What will he find ?

i agree but id rather select not established stuff as the other stuff has "traffic" and it could help newer devs or devs that didnt had so much luck to get the views...but of course thats not the sense of the bundle i just thought it would be fair as well all in the same boat somehow [also saying that becasue i dont have an established game submitted lol ;)

id say it completely depends on your personal skills (god) blessed you with, and saying pixel art would be easier then 3d may be true for a certain amount of people but not all always depending on skill you can easily addopt which is also only about you so imo this whole discussion is kinda sensless as you all give values to art which cant be compared with each other in not a single way you wouldnt coutn a peach to some apples or?

also to call somthing easier to learn then something else is absolutely not comparable depending on individual and luck the biggest factor you all forget or better

sorry to advertise it but if you search 3d games, im  (and 15 other itch io developers) currently running a rather cheap 3d games ONLY bundle including 44 games for 4,65 bugs if you wont buy you can even though dl most of the games as some are free so its kinds of selection of curated 3d games of all kinds but if you want to support 3d developers this is the way to fo ;) https://itch.io/b/2311/3d-developer-support-bundle-i

even if it would be a good idea with tiers from my knewledge bundles dont support tiers, but could be wrong on that, and yeah the time is ticking lol

my story suddenly appear while im working on my games completely without making any plans i know its not common to do so and maybe my games are not the story killers like rpgmaker games but for (old-school) fps games i came up with pretty interesting stuff lol but everyone will have a different opionion on my way of working and stories :)

well i try something new with every game i start......so my artstyle is a sudden erruption of my feelings while i make my games, i also never plan anything i let it evovle, i oftern erase big parts of my maps or update them about 2 or 3 times in the development process here are a few differtn shots from unrealaed and released games by me....btw i also found something funny for this, im a game-artist :)

its surely the worng place to ask but as the topic is maybe fitting, if not im sorry. but i need to know is it true that its not allowed anymore to submit free games to bundles not this bundle generally speaking?

but isnt it just one bundle ? more bundles more work and for 1000 games to select in 5 days ...its a bit less time

i think it would be cool if the bundle would incldue like 20 games which is cool for 10  (20) dollar, (as from the itching for games bundle the people average paid price was 1.60 for 110 games) and the selection well propably it can only be done through "luck" some "raters" who select it by their personal choice with 1000 games there is proaply no other way to go, but it think it would be a bit unfair to selct them by popularity...rather random selected 20 gaems which get tested if they meet the aimed quality of the bundle they are in .... also i think it could be (maybe) be interesting ig all the 20 games are of a different genre which may seem not fitting at first but it could bring fans of one think to another if its kind of all around easter bunde :)
