Nah, let's not bother with it. It's completely valid to consider the game too short. I don't think even a full playthrough would always equal five minutes.
Frankly, I was just happy to watch someone play it. Thank you!

I did! Granted, it was using a 3D engine by griffpatch that I modified a little bit, so I can't really take credit for that. Overall I'm pretty happy with this one.
All of my projects thus far are being made with TurboWarp, so if the technical aspect of it interests you I'd love for you to check out my other projects!
The other day I made a post on Game Jolt showing off my cover of the menu theme for GUIDANCE, an RPG by Luke Stevens.
I'd like to make said posts a regular thing for a little while (no promises! Anything could happen) and put together an album for them.
Here's the two songs I've covered so far:

If you have a similar project to recommend I cover a song from (preferably a game on GJ), I'm open to suggestions and will give the game a look and maybe cover a song from its soundtrack.
Later!
Alas, I currently have no images to share as I'm not on my usual PC, but I've come to present LittleGame: A 2D rage platformer/EXE-esque game! Inspired from a variety of media, from El Pendrive Azul to real Nintendo anti-piracy screens, to random content played by YouTubers like YuB or Toadbup.
The game was initially planned to be a sort of take on EXE games without piggybacking off of another company's pre-existing characters or using boring "walking simulator" gameplay.
Kyomu Kara is a spinoff of another project of mine, and a submission to Mana's 2D Horror Jam #2.
The original soundtrack was made in Bosca Ceoil, but I recently did it over in FamiStudio to make it more authentic.

I've also made other pieces aiming for a vintage, retro vibe recently, like "LittleGame Ransomware".
There's also plenty of other chiptune/video game pieces on my Bandlab if you're interested! I would argue my best work so far is an album (work in progress) called FANTASY.
Hi there! i've been a developer for a fair bit of time, but I've never really had a lot of luck with the marketing/publicity half of it.
Obviously the best method is probably to actually reach out to someone, but that's not really in the cards for me right now so I would like some advice.
If your game has indirectly gotten playthroughs on YouTube, what factors do you think contributed? Who played it and are they very open to playing smaller, less popular games? Really anything you know could help. I'm just trying to learn and apply so I can become not just a better developer, but a better advertiser.

Hi! I'm Mr. Bad. I'm a solo developer who's dabbled a little in horror games in my time, though this one is my pride and joy.
I've announced this game before when it initially came to Itch, but I was trying to make it look innocent whereas I'd now like to advertise it for what it is.
LittleGame is my attempt at a Sonic.exe-esque game, only with more difficulty and without piggybacking off of another company's nostalgia to popularize it, instead creating my own characters and story.
The game is fairly short and very difficult, but players have said they enjoyed it and the ending was worth it. If you've got the time, it'd mean the world to me for you to give it a shot.
A short trailer is available on Game Jolt!
If you're interested in 2D horror, retro platformers, rage games, or EXE games, try LittleGame!

Hey, thanks for playing!
The game was initially supposed to have full control of its window, but those functions were scrapped in a rather lazy manner, which may have resulted in the monitor thing.
I actually really wasn't a fan of the soundtrack (with the exception of the menu theme and the rendition of "LittleGame"), but I've heard it serves its purpose well anyway, so I guess it works!
The game is made in Scratch, so coyote time might be a little hard to implement (also I want the game to reflect the classics in every way it can, and they weren't that polished). I guess if I had a script that waited until the player was off the ground, then offset other checks such as jumping accordingly? I'd have to experiment with it.
Anyway, thanks again for trying it out! The game is meant to be played with prior experience from the first game, but it's a jam entry so I didn't really expect for everyone to hold to that recommendation.
Colliding with an NPC triggers some dialogue, then you just backtrack to the door in the center (your progress is displayed there if you look closely). There is something of a checkpoint system but it's not quite as blatant as it might seem. Something super involved just didn't seem necessary for something so small.
Apologies for my vagueness, but I don't like just saying the features flat-out, especially when my account activity is displayed for everyone on the platform. I think it ruins the fun.
Hey, thanks for playing!
Yeah, this game and LittleGame were both pretty absurdly hard, but I hear the ending was worth it and that it pushes people to try harder.
I do love making parallax backdrops and maybe would have been able to make a decent one for this game, but there are some factors against it: The game is made to reflect NES games, which usually didn't have any kind of advanced backdrops, and there's a pretty huge chance the pixels wouldn't line up between the backdrops and the tilemap because the game is made in Scratch. Small things like that would risk breaking the kind of authenticity I'd managed to create for the game.
The game was completed in five days as a completely solo project, so I'm really happy no one's run into any major bugs yet. It's kind of a miracle.
Anyway, thanks again for playing and rating the game! I really appreciate the support and I'd love for you to play LittleGame if you enjoyed this.
Did you complete the full game? Just curious.
If you only played through until the game closed, open it again.
Hey, that's pretty neat! Only note would be that the artstyle doesn't match up completely (the player doesn't quite fit with the tiles, tiles don't quite fit the backdrops, etc.), but that aside it's pretty cool.
Could I ask what software you used to make the music? I'm really into making retro, NES-Esque games, and the music here was spot-on for something like that.
My game, Kyomu Kara, is a spinoff of LittleGame, a project I released in February.
I plan to update Kyomu Kara to lock itself until the player has passed a certain point in LittleGame, but I wouldn't want to force you into playing two games because you only committed to playing one.
So I must ask before launching the next update, are you willing to play LittleGame first, or would you rather me keep Kyomu Kara unlocked until you've played?
If you don't want me to lock it yet, I'll set the game to lock itself if it's being played past the end of this April.

LittleGame! A short one-and-done platformer designed to reflect the classics!
This game was made as a side project while I took a break from something else, but I'm really happy with the results.
The game also had an EXE-esque spinoff called Kyomu Kara made for a horror jam.
More information on the game pages!
Hi there! It feels kinda scummy to just use a jam for advertisement, but that's pretty much what I'm doing.
Really excited to see everything that gets submitted!
So here's the thing: I would do a browser build, but I make games using TurboWarp, which doesn't package super reliable browser builds. The primary issue is that oftentimes the music doesn't work.
Therefore, my games are exclusively downloadable, unfortunately.

Not really Soundcloud or Bandcamp, but it's all I got.
Best tracks of mine there have gotta be in FANTASY.
Hi there! I'm Mr. Bad, a primarily solo developer who does platformers and mild horror games.
Still trying to get my Itch account off the ground, so I thought I'd share some concept art that was done over the years!
I have improved a lot since I started, so I think this'll be a pretty cool look at how the quality of my projects increased.
If you plan on playing LittleGame, you might wanna wait until you beat it to look at the concept art for that.
(Organized oldest to newest for every game... I think.)

All I could find. Sorry.
If you liked this, consider checking out my profile here and on Game Jolt!
So I have a project planned and the soundtrack goes insanely hard.
I understand this isn't very professional, but it's all I got.
If you enjoyed this, please check out the rest of my Bandlab! Most of my soundtracks are there, with the exception of a few old games. There's a lot of extra tracks up there as well!
Made in FL Studio Mobile.

Hi there! I'm a primarily solo developer who just recently joined Itch, and I'm still getting a feel for it.
As of now, I only have one game that downloads directly on Itch: Kyomu Kara.
However, I have made pages for two other games, one of which is complete but only downloads on Game Jolt (external download on game page). This game is called LittleGame and it's a short, simple rage side-scroller made as a side-project while I worked on a bigger project.
It's a quick one-and-done with an average session time of ~12 minutes (for me, meaning the average player might have something closer to 20 or 30). I'm simply trying to get a project of mine off the ground and it would be incredible to see someone else's playthrough of the game.
