Hello!

i'm melo and i just made this account

i love music and i make songs.. i also play piano and guitar and im aiming to go to music college as an opera singer :3

all this music thing basically started from the undertale soundtrack.. i became so obsessed that i searched on google how the music was made and this youtube video showed up where someone recreated some of the songs. that's when i started making my own songs, first videogame music and now i make normal instrumental music, different genres from classical to electronic

one of my dreams is hearing my songs in a game, so that's why i made this account. im not really after money, this is just something i'd love to do. playing a game while i hear my songs is rewarding enough :)

that's it i guess, take care everyone!

(+1)

Hi, welcome!

And I feel I can relate to the feeling of wanting to see one’s content in a game.

(+1)

sounds good! also, judging by the covers of your projects they seem great! :D

(+1)

Hi! I’ve listened to one and a quarter of your songs so far and I already really like them. Were you planning on releasing them under any specific license?

(1 edit) (+1)

Hello!

Thank you so much for listening! im really glad you like them!!!

Yeah, everything you see on youtube is released with the help of my record label :D

That's how i got verified on YouTube as an artist :3

I'm AideedGameZ. I made game and I also the creator of GGProz, which I'm planning to make a game production. Well, not official tho. I love develop a game, especially I have experience a quite in Unity3D and Blender3D, yet I'm still learning. This is the game that I am proudly would like to introduce to you guys, https://aideedgamez.itch.io/ikan-bakar-seafood-cafe
Try it out, no download needed. If you have any idea, let it out. I'm open to improve

Hi Aideed,

I have tried your game seafood cafe and saw your channel. My take on 3D games is to import from 3D asset stores to have a more polished look. Otherwise I can guess you've built the whole small town yourself in Unity and Blender. Right now, the interaction is mostly in the cafe. I would add interaction in the town too, it seem like a chill place. Just my own 2 cents.

BTW, your Tsunami simulator seem fun.

wow, you knew that game. You really do your research hahahaha.

Hi guys I learned Unreal Engine for like 2 months and made some insta viral game, many views etc but not so many downloads, anyone know why? Google Thai Walking Street Simulator on google, got really viral, almost 1 million views with all the reels and other people reposting hahaha

(+1)

Hi i like to make games that are interesting, meaning  that the game is more relaxing meaning that maybe i want games to be more time consuming meaning that i like the slow and healing , cute girls and nature and magical games,

(+1)

i like things that are cute , small and dalicate, I like it that if people open my games they feel happy, i like a way of really reality related, really big eyes, bumpy and light things

Hi, good luck with making your game!

Idle Hover Knights https://combat-dices-team.itch.io/idle-hover-knights

I’m indie hobby solo developer. I’ve long wanted to try making a quick game with rich backgrounds and character outlines. And this is the game I got.

I am indie developer and I made this:

Hey all — I'm Nathan, and I recently launched a small studio/brand called AI Vibe Forge where I explore "vibe coding" — basically building fast, in flow, with AI assistance.

My first public project is a Stock Market Simulator — I built the initial playable demo in just 2 days using Godot 4.4 and a bit of AI-powered momentum. The demo’s up now on Itch if you want to try it: 🔗 Play the Demo Here

Outside of game dev, I’m into writing, design, and tools that help creators break through the “stuck” feeling. Vibe coding is kind of my way to blend all that.

Looking forward to checking out some of your projects too!

Hi, I'm Karel! From Czechia.
I do QA-Quality assurance testing for living.
My biggest hobby is making videogames and I'm currently working on Balladrion, a rogue-lite RPG with a light narrative focus.
I've been developing the game solo in my spare time for the past 6 months—and there's still at least another 6 (or more!) to go.
Your feedback and support mean a lot as the world of Balladrion continues to grow. https://marionettecz.itch.io/balladrion or https://store.steampowered.com/app/3756740/Balladrion/

Hi everyone ! My name's Yoga from Indonesia. I'm a UX Specialist (Designer/Researcher/Copywriter) by trade; however by passion I'm an English -> Indonesian translator for 2 decades, and a game localizer for just above a year.

I've been a silent lurker here for a while ever since the hype of indie gaming is growing rapidly, and with that same passion in gaming, I’m trying to start a new EN-ID localization business focused on helping indie games reach a massive Indonesian gaming audience—and I’m currently offering indie game developers free localization for up to 1,500 words of in-game text (dialogue, UI, menus, etc.). and/or any marketing/promotion material for indie games.

My major public portfolio is the entire Counter-Strike 2 game in Indonesian, or you can click here for a direct sample

But why am I doing this, you ask? I’m just getting started and want to build real case studies—not just theory. But most importantly, I care about this just as much as you all here care for your games.

So whether you're still building the game or finished your first build, I'm open to any and all exciting collaborations! DM me or comment below with your game link or a short blurb. Or I'm also down to have a chat!

Let’s all create something hebat ('awesome' in Indonesian)!

Yours truly,,
Yoga

Hey everyone! I'm Els from Hawaii, aka WaveCoder. Because two of my biggest passions are surfing and game development.

I got into Unity and Blender back in 2021, but things really clicked about three years ago when I started pouring serious time into learning the craft. Since then, I’ve been building a tactical RPG called The Uprising, learning everything from scratch along the way.

I’ve just released a demo to get feedback, sharpen the blade, and keep leveling up as a solo dev. It's been a long road already—but hey, the dream is to finish this thing before the decade's over, right? ;)

If you get a chance to check out the demo, I’d love to hear your thoughts: The Uprising (Demo) by WaveCoder

Thanks! :)

Hey all, I am Andrei from Romania. I am very new to gamedev and programming in general but I am trying to learn as much I can in my free time and also have fun with it. I worked a bit in Unity before they decided to discombobulate their entire community with those fees, nowadays I work mainly in Godot with C#. I am still in school so I don’t have a lot of free time but I try to sharpen my skills as often as I can.

So far I have only finished one project that isn’t all that impressive but I am proud of it because this field of work ain’t easy and it took a while to finish it.

(+1)

Hey, I am completely new here . I was trying to develop a game trailer for game design document , skilled team members , investors etc... and ended up here . I am also learning Unity from a friend I met on Discord. Also looking for a company who could train me on few of game development software while building my game. I know how crack the market. So basically I am confident and I am making work.

That's me !

(+1)

Hello, welcome to Itch fellow dev! best of luck on your dev journy!

Thanks man

Hello everyone my name is Carlos, I have picked up game developing as a hobby. My experience with game developing is about a year and half where I placed 4th at a compeitiotn called Skills USA on the state level. It would great to me if yall checked out my new project which I do not have a name but its called Project A

🎮 Hi! I’m Jeanne — or Hitomi, based in the Netherlands.

I used to work in plant science and research, but now I’ve ventured into indie game development, espacially art! 🌱🎨

I’ve joined two small solitaire game projects where I did the art. Both of our projects are free to play — we’d love your feedback! ANY feedback!  \QuQ/

Try the recent one here: Jellitaire ★ Transpose

I love adding a bit of chaos to the gameplay — guess that’s where the fun begins, right? Currently, my teammate and I are exploring roguelike and card-based mechanics for the next Jellitaire project.

If you like this idea as well, welcome to leave any comments!!!

Hello! My name is Daniel, I’m 14 years old and I make very simple games, I look for feedback to improve and produce more :)

Hello, I like to make Solo Journaling games. I'm new to making them but find them really fun and are great for creative writing. I love adding a bit of mystery and creepiness to my games. I just made a game called WillowDire about exploring a creepy village and dark forest.

Hello, nice to meet you!

I'm kind of a game dev myself, though I mostly create copyright-free characters. Good luck on your game dev journey, may you have success

My name is Mitch, I used to do a lot of mod's for the game Wolf:ET, from flower mines, to halloween pumpkin head's, the chicken grenades and over sized binoculars I think, mostly graphic mod's, but I did develop a scriptable way for the game to play ctf, plus a range of simpler mod's for lower-poly grass, and roaches that scurry around.

I work mostly with free programs like Blender3D, GIMP and GoldWave for audio production.

I am Canadian, and I named my game company "Two Turkey Neck Games" because I prepare the roasted Turkey twice a year, at Canadian ThanksGiving and also at ChristMas. Well, at one thanksgiving, I yanked from the turkey the bag of giblet's, but was surprised to find two turkey necks also..

I am pushing 60 year's old, But I still have thing's to contribute to the game scene.

I work now with Unity for my game engine, and am hopefully will provide a game I got renewed on from some old developments... I wish I could show a video...

Maybe I might...

I did create this https://twoturkeyneckgames.itch.io/melonquest

but that for some reason was always my focus, to re-create other game's to try and learn how the Unity game engine worked. I am prety shure most people do this, re-create pacman, galaxian, space invader's just to learn the in's and out's.

I am working on my own game now. Hopefully I can post some progress on it soon.

Hello, nice to meet you!

Hey guys! I'm BlueberriesAreAwesome (cuz they are) and in my free time, I like playing basketball, producing trap/video game music, drawing really weird things, and currently working on my pixel indie rpg project called Zuru, which is going to be a coming-of-age story and incorporate Origami.

I'm also a huge fan of pixel games, like Omori, Undertale, Deltarune, Oneshot, Pokemon, Stardew Valley, and of course, Minecraft!

I'm looking forward to meeting new people and working on my project. I'm also interested in composing music tracks for other video game projects, so reach out if you're interested in a sample of my music.

That's all for now. Bye friends!

Hey, im a long time game dev, writer, and many more, im getting my roots out after all the BS i was put through, so if your here to make games and have fun, or backrooms, i do that too, look me up on here, twitter, deviantart or my linktree by my same name, i look for people who are willing to put time and know that do what you love and the money will come, however bashedly the video game world harps on that in their old ass ways, i didn't set that in motion back when i aided in capping video games at sixty dollars...

hello!

Hope you're doing well

Hey everyone! Just another creative soul making weird games and looking for community.

I'm Clayton — aspiring game and AI dev, lifelong storyteller, and the brain behind PrettyNerdee, the delightful dual output I've developed. (Lucky me gets to be neurodivergent, with bipolar traits)

I'm currently working on a few projects, (Unsurprisingly) ranging from a narrative-driven mental health game in Godot to a full-on ARPG in Unreal Engine with a chaos-faction combat system. Bit of a mad mix, but that’s how I like it.  I've been building these things in my head for years, finally got to building them!

I joined Itch because I wanted to get more involved in the indie scene — not just posting my own stuff, but actually meeting people, learning from others, and maybe even collaborating down the line. I’m always up for chatting design, dev struggles, weird mechanics, or just hanging out.

I'm vibe coding at the moment while i try to self teach. though it does reduce the strain of having so much on at once.

Would i love to reduce my workload? Absolutely!

Would I simply replace the shelved projects with another? Also..... absolutely....

So, what are you working on? Got something weird? Thought-provoking? Unfinished and held together with duct tape? I’m all in.

Let’s be pals 👾

(1 edit) (+2)

Hi, i am not new on the site, but i don't really talk on the community at all.

I am just a NSFW aggregator that test games out and give my viewpoint and score of the games to help others find what they want or if they should even waste their time playing said game at all.
I obviously advocate for any fictional content that do not cause direct harm to any individuo to not be forbidden. (That means a game, video, image or audio that will cause imminent threat to the life of someone, not a group of people or criticism, or parody)
(If anyone knows, how do i send anyone a DM or PM, would you DM me with the answer? Thanks)

(+1)

Hi everyone!

I'm Tom, I'm new here and having fun tinkering away with physical table top games!

This seems like a great place to get your creations to like minded people and I'm looking forward to me and my games existing here. If you like skirmish level table top miniatures games, please check out my feed!

More than happy to talk table top and game creation with anyone!

Cheers.

Hi, I go by the name Axoken, I made some small projects in the past and post them on playstore, but now I'm already working on something for pc, and I joined the platform as soon as I heard about the ban of Visa and Mastercard on games, because my game will have adult content. Is not one of those games that is just clicking around, is going to be a 3D game happening in a small town. My game will not have children or ra**, part of the actions that the game will have is hooking with adults and having sex.

And I need to ask since i'm midway the game. Should I stop developing this game and start with another one? Will I be able to sell it here?
I would like to know your opinions on this matter. Thanks

I’m trying to make myself and my page known and was told to participate more in the forum…so yea hi!

I have an honours degree in physics and a masters in computer science! During my masters I took, for the first time, introductions to game development which I loved. Hi everyone 👋

I’m Pixacert, a pixel artist and indie creator who loves making game assets and creative packs for developers and designers. 🎨

Currently, I’m working on the Mega Pixel Keyboard Set, a big project that brings pixel-perfect keyboard keys in multiple styles (Classic, Arcade, and Hologram). The Classic Style pack is already finished, while the other styles will be released soon as part of a pre-order package.

Besides keyboards, I’m also experimenting with cursor packs, emoji sets, and other pixel collections that I plan to release as “Mega Packs” for the community.

I joined this forum to connect with other creators, share my projects, get feedback, and maybe collaborate with people who love pixel art as much as I do. 🚀

Looking forward to meeting you all and learning from this community! 🙌

Hi guys - I'm Jade Dragon and originally joined Itch to release the ebooks I've written. I like the indie feel of the site and the way it allows me to engage with a new audience (outside of the usual social media sites). I have branched out into creating text based CYOA style games on Twine recently though and have launched one called 'Play It Your Way - The Manager, Angry Edition' here a bit ago. I loved making this game so plan to create a few more to launch on Itch when I get time.

What sets my journey apart is that I navigate the complex world of game development while managing both Tourette Syndrome and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). This unique perspective doesn't just challenge me, it infuses my creative process with distinctive insights and unconventional approaches that shape everything I create at -X-ScornGames.

I founded Bundles Ultimate with the vision of creating my own bundle community and to my delight, many indie developers quickly joined in. Why?

Because Bundles Ultimate proudly offers a fair platform for indie developers who want to promote and sell their work more effectively and easily. With each Ultimate Bundle, developers benefit from an equal revenue split, a friendly and supportive community, and most importantly, a diplomatic and respectful environment for making decisions and interacting with others.

Hi everyone, I’m Celso Jr!

I come from a web development background, but lately I’ve been diving deep into game development. I prefer building things from the ground up instead of relying heavily on engines—there’s something really fun about having full control over the code and graphics.

Right now, I’m experimenting with different graphics APIs like OpenGL, and I enjoy pushing myself to explore a variety of styles—whether it’s pixel-perfect 2D, 2.5D, or full 3D. What excites me most are great visuals and clever, modern gameplay ideas.

I recently published my very first experimental project here on itch: https://celsojrfull.itch.io/minesweeper-tui

If you’re into low-level programming, you might also enjoy my blog series about Memory Regions in C: https://www.celsojr.com/post/memory-regions

I’d love to connect with others who share an interest in exploring game development at this level. Feel free to reach out to me on my socials—I’m always happy to chat.

Happy gaming, and see you around!

Hello Everyone,  I am banana mugger.

I come from a background of mugging people of their potassium rich fruits. I have no experience programming or anything too fancy. Out of boredom with my profession I decide to pick up game development with zero knowledge in programming.  Thus for the last two weeks I spent banging metaphoric rocks together to try to develop a Unreal horror game set in the SCP universe as a field agent for MTF MU-13.  Frankly I bit impressed of what I developed by trial and error that I wanted to introduce myself as I have enough confidence to share info on my game.  I look forward with interacting with you all!

(early development pic of my game. )

(+1)

I don’t know why but looking at this makes me feel like you probably have a lot of dreams regarding the atmosphere and environment of your game (it looks so cool btw, I’m all here for it)

(+2)

Hi everyone 👋

I’m James (aka BeCool3000), an indie dev from Boise, Idaho. I’ve been working on BeeCool

a GPU-driven bee colony simulation where you interact with thousands of bees buzzing around a dynamic hex-grid world.

I recently published it here on itch.io and I’m excited to keep building and sharing updates.

Outside of BeeCool, I love experimenting with Unity, shaders, and procedural systems. For my next game, I want to try hand-drawing all the tiles, so I’m working on a Pixelorama workflow to import sprites and use them in procedural instanced hex-grid art.

I also write and record music—my latest album is Foothills at Dawn

—and sometimes it makes its way into my game projects(but not yet haha).

I’m here to connect with other creators, learn from you all, and share what I’m working on.

Looking forward to being part of the community!

— James

Hello, everyone! My name's Sam and I'm in 7th grade and new to this whole thing. I've been learning to code since I was 5 and have been making and posting video games on Microstudio up until now. I'm currently working on a game named SPACE QUEST R. Which is a game based on a game similar called space quest that I made in 6th grade. Best of luck to everyone! That's all for me.

Hi there, I don't know if I ever introduced myself here, I'd created my itchio account like 2 years or 3 ago, but I have never posted or anything. It's time a do use it the right way. My name is FlaminDog, Spanish, Senior Graphic Designer & Web Dev in real life, doing a videogame in my spare time. I love the 2D. I'm not here for self promotiing a game (yet), here to make friends or having a good time in the forums. Looking forward to be part of the community :)

Hi everyone!  I'm a multi-instrumentalist and designer with a passion for the old school! And when I say that I mean old school rts, fps, and rpg games.  I pretty much was raised on high fantasy and gothic literature and from a very young age I was constantly creating my own worlds and "fake game guides".  I never fully had the talent to sit down and program an entire game from scratch unfortunately but I'm beyond stoked to have found a community where I feel like my creativity can flourish.  I've been a musician for the better part of my teenage through adult life and have released a lot of material in the sphere of extreme metal music.  But my real passion lies in the creation of dark ambient and drone to create atmospheres of pure dread.  Looking forward to working with you all!

You sound so cool (I really mean it). Thanks for sharing about yourself in here. It’s nice to know other people do exist when all I do is coop up in my room :)

Hello, i am a new member which is looking for devs willing to join on my project called "shoot me maybe" - a game where the goal is not to kill... but to die in style!
I am a 45 yrs old guy which has a passion for games and an unusual skillset, which unfortunately does not include programming (yet).

I hope to find some committed people which believes this can be the next big thing in multiplayer gaming! Let's go!

Hey all! I am a VFX artist, and in my free time i have been trying to learn how to make this space game from scratch (some what).  i have worked at both small and big studios over the years, and i just really love making games.  I finally have a bit of free time lately, so i have been diving into game dev on my own... and yeah... wow, it’s a lot more to learn than i expected.  (i am not that great at kitbachin online tutorials for blue prints to get the end result that i need)
artstation: https://www.artstation.com/desertroze

so i am here for a bit of adventure and trade! i can help out with art if you can help me with some programming in UE5
I mainly do VFX, but i can also do some environment art, concepts, texturing, 3D modeling, and level layout.

let’s have some fun and make cool stuff together!

Hey everyone!

My screen name is Sofaspartan. I’m a graphic designer by trade, but over the past year I’ve been teaching myself GameMaker GML to see if I could turn one of my lifelong creative dreams into reality — making my own retro platformer.

I don’t come from a programming background, so a lot of this has been learning by doing: experimenting, breaking things, fixing them, and asking plenty of questions along the way. Bit by bit (pun intended!), I’ve been building BitJump, which has grown from a small art test into a fully playable prototype. It’s been a super fun way to learn the logic side of game development while bringing together my love for design, animation, and nostalgic platformers.

I’m apyrYon, a creator of 2D game asset and sometimes games (though mostly just assets, lol).

Right now, I’m building “Fantasy Saga”, an ever-growing game asset collection, full of anime-inspired characters ready for 2D projects. Each character is crafted with personality and style, so devs and 2d lovers might like it.

I’m always experimenting, so you might find some quirky surprises along the way! Got ideas, feedback, or requests? I’d love to hear them — your input can help shape the next characters.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope Fantasy Saga brings some anime magic to your game!

I’ve been using Itch for a few years now, but only as a player. I’ve been thinking about writing something with Twine and publishing it, and I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself.

(+1)

good idea.

Start with a draft story with a few options and a good ending.

And show it to friends first. Their opinions are very important before you start coding.

My experience now is that making major adjustments afterward is very difficult.

Have fun!

Hey everyone!

It’s awesome that there’s a thread like this where we can introduce ourselves. My nickname is Midnight Shift — mostly because I work on my passion projects, game development, only at night, after my day job and family duties :)

I recently finished my first relatively big project, starting from almost zero knowledge of Daz3D and Ren’Py, and now I’m working on a larger anime-style visual novel.

If you’re curious, you can even hear my weird voice and watch me slowly lose my mind trying to finish that first game 😅

(+1)

Hey everyone! It's great there's a thread for these, been reading through the introductions and there's so many talented folks here!

I'm 1000pt, a lifelong gamer, jailbreaker in my youth, and now I work in the games industry! Feel free to ask me what that's all about, popping into places like this gives me so much joy! Always happy to hear from modders and creators, don't be afraid to shoot me a reply/message! 😊

I have been working on this game for about 12 months, and I finly got it done, I have a pc version, and an android apk enjoy!

This is a life simulation video game for pc and for android you can download which ever you desire, I only ask for 1.00 that's it, and the game is like jones in the fast lane, and no tome to relax, but my game is different because in my game you can rob business ect.. and take the place hostage, and gamble ect.. I have took the other games to a whole new level! https://happytoner5420.itch.io/life-lane-ultimate-edition

  Hi my name is Uni!

My favorite types of games are JRPGS and Visual novels! I'm currently going to college for a major in business with a minor in marketing, while making my first indie game Heartstrings! Some of my game development inspirations are Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Anime in general with Daniel X by James Patterson mooshed in there. I enjoy trying out new games and doing reviews to help others!

Hiya! I'm {Insert Username Here}! I started out coding on the Ti-82, migrated to the TI-83+, then to the TI-Nspire CX II, eventually on Scratch, then python, then Unity (finally) where I make tiny little games that may or may not get finished :)  I like programming intricate systems that do nothing, working on Natural Language Processing and other forms of AI (back when AI was good) and drawing stuff :D

I joined itch pretty much to enter the GMTK 2025, and had a lot of fun actually finishing something! I hope to make games that are way too hard and complex to finish. Follow me to not recieve posts and updates ;)

Hi!

I'm Asher, a young student learning cool code projects until i became interested in making my own games. This led me to create "The Rogue", a game written entirely using Microsoft Excel, which some of you may find weird. But it helped me build something from scratch, even on unusual platforms. My goal is to explore new ways to bring back classic games to life like the old-school ones because I love simple games. Even with no fancy graphics or complicated systems, i still love them hehe.

Hello there!

My name is Nacho. I am game developer / game designer. Oficially my job description is Technical Designer. But also I make games by my own with the help of my dear fellows.

My experience with games started long time ago with Amstrad CPC duoing my own poor version of the arcades at the time I like it. Then times go forward and did many games in 2D using a language called Div Games Studio (Showdown, Master of Elements), then later Fenix (Streets of Rage Remake is one of the most famous project I was involved), then Blitz3D (Remake Rescue of Atlantis)  and Gemix (Remake of Sirwood, Narcopolice and many more )

Finally, ten years ago started with Unreal Engine 4. Now is Unreal Engine 5. Other than professional work, I founded my own company to make games, some of them available here on itch io like Road to Hollow Hills, Perpetuo, Eyes of Nuit.

I love prototyping so I have several games on the go, looking for time and motivation to continue or create new ones.

My favourite games are adventure horror games, RPG, and arcade games. Due age, I always love a good Megadrive game like Alien Soldier or Dynamite Headdy. My favourite game ever? DooM. The original one.

So if you need an unreal dev, I might be available.

¡Cheers!

Hello everyone, my name is Pavel, based in the UK, and I am new to Itch.io, but have been around on mostly on help wanted or music and audio threads! I am a music composer and sound designer with 4 years of experience who recently just graduated out of University with a master's degree. I am just a casual game enjoyer who seeks a career in the audio field, here, you'll be able to visit my website to learn more about me! I might not have much of a portfolio just yet, but I'm looking to build one! Plus, I have a huge sound library saved on my device ready to use for sound design purposes! My study during my master's degree involved how sound and music are not just backdrops, but a narrative storytelling tool in video games!

Here's just one of my many projects I've done in university, using Unity's 3D Game Kit:

Hello everyone!!

My name is Elias, I'm from Belgium and I like playing/making video games and board games. 🎮

I have always really enjoyed playing free flash games on the internet. That inspired me to try and make a game that could help other people have the same felling. I tried creating my first game all the way back in 2016 without any programming experience and I didn't get very far. I'm happy to say that I kept on trying and now I have a couple games on my profile and a dream of creating a game that people like!

I'm currently working as a software engineer and trying to create some games in my free time. Feel free to send me a DM if you want your game tested. In turn I will probably also ask you for some feedback on my games. 😈

I hope you are all doing well and keep making awesome games!

Hello my name is Harry and it is my first game developed, named Pixel Parking . As a big fun of tetris and pacman, playing them for hours, i released my own puzzle 2d game of parking cars in 50 levels in specific spots/pixels. The game is really challenging and in my speedrun i made 49 minutes to finish it all and unlock the final level. Thank you all for your time if you take a look at it.

My name is Marcos. I’ve been a tattoo artist for 12 years, and a few years ago I used to teach music in schools before changing my path to programming.
I studied while working in public procurement administration, and nowadays I manage residential buildings.
When I get home, I dedicate at least one or two hours to the game I’ve been developing. Some days, I’ve spent more time on my project than on my actual job.
The anxiety of wanting someone to try it is killing me!
Playing my game would be a favor not only to whoever plays it and to me, but also to my partner—who’s already tired of hearing about it, haha. 🎮😄

Heyo. Joined a few days ago to publish an Umineko fangame. I hyperfixate on minor characters WAY too much and felt absolutely compelled to force a game centered on my pfp into existence, even though I have no experience in game development. Other than that, I basically do nothing but breathe caffeine and cheeseburgers all day. Nice to meet ya'll.  Come say hi sometime. :)

Hey, I wrote a game, maybe someone wants to test it and report errors.

Hi, I would be happy to.

Hello everyone! I'm an Indie Mobile Game Developer, and I'm very pleased to be joining the itch.io platform where I can share my work and receive valuable feedback! So far, I've managed to successfully develop and release two games, but my biggest goal is to improve my skills every day in the field of game development. I am constantly seeking new challenges and ways to enhance my craft. It's a pleasure to meet you!

Hlo guys I'm dhruv, I'm ne here, and if you want to be my friend just text me.

hello!

Hii, wanna be my friend

Hello, everyone. I am delighted to be part of this community. I am interested in indie games and the process of creating them. At the moment, I am learning more than I am working on my own projects.

I’m Explorer Official, I have taught myself web and app development, I’m now getting into making games the last 3 months.

Hello,

I'm 27 and I'm new in this community. I started game development as a hobby and I do it in my free time, only when I'm not programming PLCs in automotive industry lol (I love VASS and Integra btw). I recently finished my demo version of the game"Good Morning Sunshine" which is pretty much a Housewife Simulator, but this title is so cliché and I want to stick with Good Morning Sunshine. I really like playing good games, especially with good gameplay and mechanics, graphics, visuals,  sound effects and soundtrack are not so important, I just want the juicy sauce!

I will be happy to play your demo, if you are open to play mine. We can exchange some tips and ideas, maybe collaborate, who knows?

Anyway, thanks for reading my message, I hope you've had wonderful Christmas and  the upcoming New Year 2026 is going to be the best for you! Stay safe!

Hi I'm Matteo from Italy, I'm a proof developer but not in game industry, in my free time i develp a isometric game engine with advancede features, i've used a lot of assets taken from this portal to make test maps and test characters, i apreciate the artist present on this portal very good

I'm Kent in NYC and worked at startups as a software engineer and thinking about pivoting to being a creator.
I released my first abomination with a built from scratch game engine and music generation system.

I'm obsessed with roguelikes and the evolution of indie game mechanics. I'm particularly fond of deckbuilders and auto-battlers.

Please share ideas with on what coding + gaming projects you wish existed!

Hi! I’m Joshua (my internet alias is Joshington), I live in Georgia in the United States, and I’m a 15-year-old solo indie game dev. I run a game development studio by myself called “SproutKid”. (The name derives from me growing as a game dev like a little sprout, hence the name Sprout and Kid.) Back in 2024, ever since I got a 8 GB Windows 11 laptop for my 14th birthday, I started using various different game engines that were considered very easy to learn and utilize, such as Twine, GB Studio, Buildbox, and ended up using GDevelop. Eventually, about over a year of using GDevelop, I ended up quitting the engine for good, and started self-teaching myself and using Godot 4.4 to make my games.

I’m literally obsessed with platformers of any kind, which is why 2D platformers are the only thing I know how to make in Godot 4.4. Whenever I’m making a 2D platformer in Godot 4.4, I usually reuse numerous scripts and scenes to speed up development. Right now, I’m actively developing a 2D platformer in Godot 4.4, Platform Kid. Here’s the link to the game if y’all want to check it out: https://sproutkid.itch.io/platform-kid. Happy New Year!

Hello,
I am Kuboid. I make 2D pixel art games with Godot. I started in November 2025 when I got burned out from my job. And game development, especially making characters and telling stories, has been my way to get back on my feet. Super happy to be a part of the itch.io community.

Hello and welcome!

I'm Shalo. I design characters and create storylines for game ideas. I'm currently working on music, either character theme songs or ambient songs. I wish to share my ideas with people who may need my help. I'm also working on my own story that I'm hoping to transform into a game. With anyone's help, I want to make that a reality.

Thank you!

How thought out are your ideas?

Hello everyone,

I have been a  member of itch several years ago but I just recently updated my games and uploaded here. As a hobby, I tried to develop games using Android/Java more than a decade ago and Godot 3.x several years after and uploaded them to Google Play, but now my account has been deactivated even though I tried to comply with their ever changing policy. I do not want to create a new account and pay again so I am migrating them here.  My games are not visible/indexed yet so you may checkout this link sheenergizer.itch.io.  Thank you!

Hey there everyone. I just found the community section here on itch, and I'm glad I did, because I've already seen like 50 cool looking projects in the first 10 minutes of being here. My name is Stephen Buehner, and I'm a game developer, with about a year and a half of dev and animation experience. I just posted my first demo here last week for my first full game Imagine Bravery, with a lot to learn, and with a lot of hope to grow and meet people wanting to work on games with me. Thanks for making awesome games.

Hello everyone!

I'm Saru,  a Spanish developer, and I started getting into gamedev more a few months ago after playing hundreds of games throughout my life. So far I've tried out Godot and Ren'Py for small ideas. Both were amazing tools.

Recently, I've been working on a puzzle game made with PICO-8. It will be my first published game, and I will be announcing it soon.

I'm also on X as SaruCtrl, you can contact me for any request.

Nice to meet you all and I'm glad to be part of this community!

My name is Iris, I've been into game dev for quite some time, but still learning how to properly get my games some exposure. I mainly make 2D games, but I have thought about dabbling into isometric 3D though. I'm still as open as ever to constructive criticism on my work always!

Would be nice meet people and interact more (personal fear sometimes), but I will try my best to also improve in this area. I work closely with indie dev teams on things like positioning, store pages, demos, launches, and generally helping great games find their audience without losing their soul. I totally feel you on music vs games 😄 both creative, but very different kinds of brain energy.

Nice to meet you all 👋

Hi all.  I'm Ortisha.  I have started creating a game I named DamNation about beavers in the wild.  I am not a game developer and I'm just doing it for a hobby because I love learning.  I love the topic and everything my game is about and I find joy when I get stuff to work.

    📢 Dev Log #1 — 06/02/26

Development has officially begun! Work is underway on the opening of the story, including core menus and UI elements. The first scene is now live, introducing Sophie for the very first time.

This is just the beginning, but it sets the foundation for everything to come. More content, features, and polish are planned as development continues toward the demo release.

Thanks for the support—more updates coming soon 👀🔥

Hi. I just got started here in making games on here, there's lots of other stuff I've done but I've narrowed it down. Music, AI, animations, youtube videos. Currently I'm working at a store, but once I'm in business I can make games on the computer instead. Using Construct 3 to make games, and FL Studio for the soundtrack.

    o everyone!

Projeto Humano is the name of my first game. I'm a complete beginner in game development, but all the art in the project is original and vector-based.

I’d really appreciate it if you could check it out!

Hello! I make indie comics, animation, and video games!

Hi, my name is Lucas and I'm the founder of MagicOwl Games. I wanted to create games since I was a kid, and now that I have software development experience, I decided to create my own independent studio. I'm currently working on finishing prototypes and a small game to understand better Godot Engine (which I use the most) and to learn some game design.

The small project is a game called Defenders of the Wise Horn. It is a block breaker game with 10 stages. The Wise Horn is an ancient goat horn said to hold wisdom, and it must be defended. That is pretty much the whole plot. It is helping me a lot to understand a few technical stuff about the engine and to apply some game design knowledge in small cenarios.

I created my studio with the intention of making "smarter games", in other words, games with smart AIs, with the world itself almost being a living entity. The other branch I want to explore is the competitive scenario of MOBAs, so I'm slowly studying and developing the first version of the MOBA I want to build. I intend to have a playable MVP of it by December.

I hope to share with itch.io a lot of prototypes and games, and if you believe you can help me in any way, reach out and I'll be glad to hear you!

I also have many game ideas I just need a team that can make them a reality, but if you'd rather I work for you I could be convinced.  Feel free to talk to me.

Hello everyone, this is Escape the Hoover!

I’m giving a funny idea a serious try.

I make games (or at least I try) that aim to make you think, laugh, and maybe panic a little.

Escape the Hoover is the current experiment.

I’m not an experienced game developer (I actually have 0 knowledge) and I’m taking my first real steps, using AI as a tool for prototyping and testing ideas, sharing early concepts, and learning in public through feedback and discussion.

If you enjoy seeing how a game idea grows from a rough concept into something real, you’re very welcome to follow me here!

    Thank you!

Hi, I’m an independent creator with a complete concept for a dark fantasy narrative action RPG called The Shattered Company.

The project is fully outlined, including gameplay, missions, characters, and story arcs. I am looking for skilled developers to collaborate on creating a playable prototype.
If you’re interested, I can share the concept document and discuss how we could work together.
    Best regards,
    (1 edit) (+3)

    Well hello :D
My name is slim shady  DevilLokk but just call me Will. I'm a multimedia narrative creator, I create across a lot of mediums. This includes audio work and music compositions, 2D and 3D concepts, writing and voice acting/narration  etc, I also implemented a sweet small environment in PSX style (explorable in fist person don't know how I did that OuO)

I mostly create mythical, organic or straight up dark fantasy narratives.  Currently I'm working on a project called "PNEUMA". It started as a short stories collection, then I added a concept art and it became a lorebook. And then it became an animatic (feel free to check it out when I'm done posting it.) Now I'm making it into an actual portfolio piece.
I mostly communicate through text (I'm not mute, just socially anxious)

Hello everybody, I hope you are doing well. My name is Kentsoop, and I am a game developer from France. I have been making games since middle school; however, I have never finished any project I started and so never published them, furthermore my art skills are quite poor (especially in 2D art).

Over the past few months, I was working on my first major commercial project. However, due to my lack of confidence, it also remains unfinished for now. I plan to return to it in the future.

As a result, I have decided to focus on smaller projects and limit myself to working on each one for only a week, publishing it even if it is unfinished or imperfect. Once I have gained enough confidence in my skills, I will revisit them (with a one-month time limit) and eventually return to my main project.

That’s all from me. I apologize for the long message, and thank you for reading. I wish you all the best.

These days, I’m finally chasing the dreams and ideas that younger me assumed would already be done by now. I just released my newest tabletop game assets Hex Diorama Terrains.

My name is Nikita, I’m Rendering Engineer, I was lead in Saints Row 3 remastered and we shipped it years ago: https://youtu.be/rL85F0TXCkQ Worked on enshrouded (mostly GI and volumetric GI): https://youtu.be/qygf4aICf34 And also worked on Six Days in Fallujah - RTXGI and optimizations: https://youtu.be/VF0c9SwewpA

I always was playing around rendering engines, rendering techniques but lately Im more and more gravitating into game development in general without paying too much attention to graphics (but it’s hard). 👋

Hello everyone! My name is playerzer0. I have been designing pixel based animation and art for video games since 2012.

When I first began this endeavor, I used Microsoft Paint on Windows XP. With limited features, it was painstakingly time-consuming. When I discovered how to make a spritesheet, everything took off.

Around 2014, I began spriting for RPG Maker XP projects and joined the RMRK community (https://www.rmrk.net), a forum for posting RM projects and artwork, and a general discussion board. That was the catalyst for sharing my work, learning from others, and growing alongside passionate creators.

In 2017, discovering Aseprite changed everything again. Having a timeline feature to animate sprites directly in the software was a huge improvement in my journey.

Thousands of hours later, I’ve built a comprehensive library of hand made, meticulously curated 8px, 16px, and 32px spritesheets. Every piece is crafted entirely pixel by pixel from original ideas and inspiration from iconic titles.

Over a decade later, I have become something of a journeyman of this craft; always improving, always refining, and staying true to the originality of my work. I am extremely excited now that it's 2026 to share my projects, games, and artwork with all of you.

Enjoy, and thank you for taking the time to read my Introduction post.

Hello world, my name is Vitor, and I’m 19 years old. I’ve been in the world of game development for almost a year now. I’m from Brazil, and I love game programming. I started this journey because of Markus Persson, the creator of Minecraft.

I really enjoy indie games, especially those that became very successful. A perfect example is VVVVVV and My Summer Car. My favorite hobbies are working on personal game projects, making music, and playing Minecraft.

Hello, everyone! I am UltraSuperPorkChop, the creator of an indie game I call The Masterverse!.  (Yes, the exclamation mark is part of the title.) It is a game that is about this demon called "The Rebellious", who wants to destroy all reality as we know it. Why?  Because he is full of pride, anger, and hatred. It takes inspiration from the Bible, but more dramatic and multiversial. It also takes inspiration from the MCU.  You start off in one universe, playing through each character's own story and defeating their own worlds" villiains, before a crossover event happens where all the characters face off against a major demonic threat. The major villains are planned to be "The Destroyer", "The Law Breaker". and "The Rebellious" in that order. I have planned my ideas for this game for at least a few years now. It's not finished yet, but I have made progress. I have finished the first universe, currently titled "Universe: 003",  and  it's about a cardboard box boy named "Packbro". Pack as in "package".  The story is he faces off against a villain called Lord Gost  and his army of Gosts. The spelling of ghost as Gost is intentional. I am currently working on Universe: 004 which is about a trio called the Geometry Siblings faciing off against a gluttonous king called Big Belly. Universe: 001 will be shown off last, while Universe: 002 will be a comic series. Remember that most of ideas may change overtime and may not be finalized. I've already been on Itch.io for months and publised my game, so I'm not sure if it's too late for an introduction, but I don't think it would hurt. My skills are not the best, but I don't think I need to be a pro to create and share stories! I love science fiction  and superhero stories. I  plan on making The Masterverse! not just a game, but a creation hub and metaverse. My goals are to be the founder/CEO of my own company, make my own society, and make The Masterverse! a hub for creativity and imagination! I want to change the world and make it a better place with faith in God. If you want to check me out, there are some links below the image that will direct you to my pages. The first one will lead you to my Itch.io page, the second one will lead to  my Neocities website, and the third one will lead you to my YouTube channel. The Masterverse! takes so much inspiration from all of my favorite video games, movies, TV shows, and comics, among other things. Well, this is my hello.  May the Lord bless you all!

Hey all, I am making a browser-based PvP card game called  Necromancer! which is currently online.

I leave the server running so I can test it during my lunch breaks.
Feel free to make an account and test it with me. It's being coded via Replit.com which is an AI agent.

There is a PvP mode and a Play vs AI mode. PvP works but needs some fixes. I'll be fixing this and adding a ton of changes on my next paycheck (Replit is quite expensive to use).

I don't know anything about making games or coding, at all. I'm a musician lol.

The basics of Necromancer! is you play others online and attempt to steal their cards. When you get cards, sacrifice them to the Well of Souls.
Sacrifice enough cards and you prestige, resetting your progress. Prestige and level up to become Immortal, which resets your account, but comes with perks.

In the future I'll be adding a marketplace to sell cards to other players and a trading system.

It's supposed to be a grindy card-clicker type game, I'm not really sure though.

If anyone plays it and wants to leave any feedback, please feel free to message me here.

Hi! I'm Raymond, but in the game dev world people know me as TheRyCer.

I'm not a studio or a professional game developer — just a passionate gamer and a proud dad building games in my spare time.

Right now I'm working on a small indie project inspired by something very important in my life: rink hockey (hockey patín) and the journey of my 13-year-old son, who dreams of one day playing the sport professionally in Europe.

The game itself is not directly about rink hockey, but many of its themes, energy, and spirit come from that world — dedication, perseverance, and the excitement of chasing a dream.

Another goal of this project is to help introduce rink hockey to more people around the world, since it’s an amazing sport that many players have never even heard about.

If you're curious about the project, you can check it out here:

Any feedback, ideas, or support are always welcome.

And who knows… maybe this little game will help a few more people discover rink hockey along the way.

Hello, let me jump into this 10 year old thread and just say I am now considering myself an indie game developer, I guess.  I am a content creator but not here to promote that really, I have been coding casually and sometimes for money since I was about 10 (I am now almost 42 which should be a meaningful year), I've completed 2 Super Mario World ROM Hacks including one with lots of custom ASM, and I have now started in on a sort of dream project (finishing a game is the first step lol), it is in C++ and I am building the engine myself using SDL2 and lots of time on my linux mint laptop, as well as keeping windows in mind on my favorite material belonging (my PC).

I am unearthing this old account, I might post some other random stuff from Unity that I want to just put out there, but for now enjoy my technically completed games that were mostly made for game jams, and never picked up where I left off.  And eventually I will reveal more about this project as I actually design it, but it is inspired by the rogue-[like/lite] genres, and also Xenogears which is the best retro game of all time, no question.  But I hate to draw comparisons to other games, so I will get a demo out and let people make their own conclusions.

Hello, I'm a new game dev.

I've decided to try different genres as a hobby because I needed to distract myself from own mind.

These last weeks have been fun!

I also like to play games (RPG, Visual Novel, action, hackslash...)

Unfortunately, I'm stupid, so I uploaded my first game on a new account and the page has been put under quarantine.

    Two questions

1 - how long did it tkae to make the game in its current state?

2- What program did you use to make the visual novel?

1 - one week and three days!

    2 - ren'py

    Hello everyone!
I am a pixel artist from Brazil, and I joined here to meet new people, expand my portfolio and get to work! Up to now, most of my digital art experience is with character-focused pixel illustrations, but I am willing to work on projects outside of my "comfort zone". Feel free to get in touch if you have any projects in need of a pixel artist! <3

Hello! New to itch as I recently released my first game. My name is Karlon Adhihetty, I'm a traditional artist from Toronto and I've been painting on Game Boys for the past 3 years under the handle Neat Game Boy. Recently went on a side quest to break into GB Studio development with an official game for an old show called Kenny vs Spenny. Having a ton of fun with it, very hard work though! I hope to keep going once the game is complete and release some stuff with my own original stories. Will attach some of my hand painted Game Boys !

Hi! My name is ITech (I prefer not to share my real name). Nice to meet you and welcome to itch.io! I hope you're having fun on the platform. Honestly, your Game Boy drawings are insane — really impressive! I've been here since the end of 2025 and released my first game called Garage Tycoon (here’s the link if you want to check it out: https://itech1.itch.io/tycoon-garagem). Just like your project, mine also needed a lot of work to get close to perfect, but it had bugs and I didn’t have time to fix them, so unfortunately I had to discontinue it. However, I’m working on a near relaunch of the same game, just adding some finishing touches, and it should be back online around April. I’m from Portugal.

Thank you! followed back, I'll keep an eye out for the new Garage Tycoon. Played your Flappy Bird for a couple minutes before rage quitting LOL! Give Kenny vs Spenny a try when you get the chance and let me know what you think.

    Hello everyone !
I'm Ben, a solo indie dev just trying to make it work in this space!

Check out my first game release if you like and let me know your thoughts , its greatly appreciated.

I originally told my self i would take a week to make this game, just under a month later and its still being made lol, its released now but definitely not in its finished state, and theres lots more i would like to do with it.

    Hey all,

Figured I’d finally stop lurking and introduce myself.

I’m Alex, been a mechanic for over 30 years, so I come at game dev from a very “figure it out, break it, fix it better” mindset. Recently started building browser-based and text/incremental style games. Nothing flashy yet, but I care more about solid systems and gameplay loops than polish at this stage.

Right now I’m working on a couple projects:

    • A crime/survival-style browser game focused on decisions, resource flow, and progression over time
    • Some experimental incremental/clicker concepts (because apparently people really like clicking things endlessly… who knew)

I’m still early in the dev side, learning as I go, but I’m consistent and actually finishing things instead of just thinking about them.

I like systems that feel meaningful, progression that isn’t fake, and mechanics that actually make the player think a little.

Anyway, glad to be here and looking forward to seeing what everyone else is building.

Hi, I'm TheColombianKidd aka TCK98 aka ReconScope... I been doing game dev for almost about a year now... 3D modeler, C# scripter and looking to learn more as I go. I am NOT a professional, but I'm here to learn and grow, maybe make some new gamedev friends and get creative. Yeah that's all I got- ok bye.

I am mahti. A rookie in the world of game development.  I also make 2d games with little taste of 3d ill be working on a resident evil type game in unreal engine and dw its optimised

Hi everyone! I'm True Star Games, an indie developer working with Unreal Engine 5.

I realized that I love game development, so I started learning how to make games. I began with small personal projects, and recently I released my first horror game, Still Asleep.

In this game, you’re trapped inside a nightmare and must find a way to escape before dawn.
