thanks!

Hey, I really like your art. I make tilemap assets and I need some support creating a boss enemy for one of my own packs, in a strict colour pallete. Can we talk about potential collaboration?

Thanks so much!

The Moonlit series grows darker…

I’m excited to announce the release of Moonlit Swamp, a brand new  pixel art asset pack designed to expand the Moonlit world into murky waters and misty moonlit marshland.

This pack was built to sit seamlessly alongside Moonlit Dungeon and Moonlit Forest, using the same consistent palette .

What’s Included

  • Modular ground tiles and slopes, designed for easy placement and autotile (guide included)
  • Water! Animated water and waterfall for your Moonlit level
  • Props - bridges, scaffold, rune stone, swamp lamps and more
  • Animated flying insect enemy
  • Player character (idle, run, jump, attack)
  • The Moonlit 5-layer parallax background
  • PNG + Aseprite tilemap files

I hope you like the pack, thanks as always for the support.

Thanks!

Hey Kokusai,

Just wanted to update you on my roadmap. Next pack release will be Moonlit Swamp, hopefully within the next week or so. This pack will include animated water tiles and a large mosquito flying enemy.
following the release of Moonlit Swamp, I’ll release a stand alone boss/enemy pack that will include one or two enemies at first, and grow over time.

Welcome!

Hi Kokusai,

I am also working on a quality of life update for Moonlit Forest that will be similar.  Expect a release next week.

Then... hopefully a new Moonlit pack :)

Thank you! I appreciate the comment :)

I have been dying to release this pack for a while, and now it’s finally complete! It’s the latest pack in the Pocket series

It’s cute, yet spooky, top down 2d pixel art. I hope you like it!

Great effort! Well polished little game

Cool game! A good challange but i think i did ok.

Nice game, congrats!

beautiful looking game

Cool game, I like the concept that you cant slow down, adds a decent challenge.

Nice platformer! It would be good to be able to use W - Space for superjump, and the character is a little floaty, but its a fun game. well done!

Super nice, chill game. Loved the way the fire and trees animated. Great work

Cool game, the moving platforms are tricky!

Awesome, great animations. I thought I completed every level, but then saw the comment below about jump scares. I didnt see that so must have missed something - Great work!

Cool game, great variation and upgrades. UI is nice too

Wow, amazing for a first game. The animations are excellent. Was lots of fun to play your game

Nice, the lighting effects are super cool

Unforgiving but fun! congrats on the launch of the game

congrats on the launch!

Hi everyone!
I just released the third pack in the Pocket series - Pocket Village.

It’s a 16x16 top down pixel art tileset perfect for RPGs and adventure games. It includes modular buildings and also pre made ones, and many props.

The pack also includes a fully animated player character, slime enemy, and two NPCs.

Please check it out: https://sebbyspoons.itch.io/pocket-village

I’m currently running a huge 50% discount for the bundle!

Thank you Kokusai!

Thanks so much! I really appreciate your comment and support

I import the tilemaps into Godot and build the maps and levels there

thanks a lot, I’m glad you like it

Hi, I sure did, every tree was created from scratch in Aseprite by me, you can see some of my working process in the snip below.

That's great! Thanks

Will do, thanks a lot!

Yes, I will do at some point, but focus for the next month is on my 'Pocket' series of top down packs.
In my pack Moonlit Dungeon, it has the same style to this one but has a couple of extra enemies, plus a legacy player character that is fully animated and can be used as a boss. Hope that helps for now!

Ahh, Gifs dont work on this page - you can check out the Godot progress gif on the product page - https://sebbyspoons.itch.io/pocket-forest
Please let me know your feedback. Thanks

I have released a new 16x16 top down asset pack called Pocket Forest, but to create the screenshots I used Godot and the autotile feature. Needless to say, its awesome and makes everything so easy to place down.

I wanted to share this progress with you. I'll be expanding the pack and will share updates again soon.

Thanks so much for your kind comment! Please let me know if you make a game with the assets, I would love to play it. - Thanks

Hi, of couse. Do you mean for the Autotile set up? Here is a screenshot of the auto tile setup I used for the screenshots.

Using this method you will have to place the cliff face manually depending on the height of the cliff you want, but the cliff top edges are auto tiled.
If you want to auto tile the cliff edges too, in Godot, you can us CTRL in the tile map setup to merge the cliff face tiles vertically, and then they would be included in the auto tile (I think).

Hope this helps and you enjoy the pack. let me know if i misunderstood your question.

If you make a game or prototype, I would love to play it!

Hey, I have contributed another tilemap that includes a player character built upon your template. You are fully credited and linked on the landing page! If you want to check it out 💛:  https://sebbyspoons.itch.io/pocket-forest
