Hey everyone!
I just launched a new update for A Survival Game, and I’d love to hear what YOU think!
This update adds:
-
A new monster called Blat Choice (yes, it’s a crab... sort of)
-
A gold collection system and a trader that gives 100 points per gold
-
A brand-new pets system – they generate money over time!
-
In-game tips for new players, floating text feedback, and more!
Oh, and the SAVE system now works in HTML5 and Windows, finally! 🙌
(Plus: difficulty slightly reduced. You still might cry though.)
I'm Looking For Feedback On:
-
Balance – Are any cards too strong or useless?
-
Bugs – Anything not working as expected?
-
Performance – Is the game running smoothly, especially on web/HTML5?
-
Pets & Trader – Do they feel useful, fun, or overpowered?
-
New Creature (Blat Choice) – Too weird? Too weak? Too crabby?
-
Floating Texts / UI – Are they clear and satisfying?
If you played the game even for just a few minutes, your thoughts would help me a lot!
Good, bad, or chaotic — I want to hear it all.
Play the game here!
Or rate it here!
Thanks in advance, and I hope your stickmen survive longer than mine.
Hey everyone!
Daniel here — indie dev and chaos manager of A Survival Game. 😄
After weeks of tweaking, testing, and watching stickmen make really bad decisions, I’ve finally launched a new update packed with juicy content, fixes, and some weird stuff (as usual).
Here’s a quick overview of what’s new:
New Features:
-
Gold System:
Stickmen can now collect gold during gameplay! (It sparkles and everything.) -
Trader System:
You can now trade your gold for 100 points.
Seems fair. Seems legal. He’s definitely not shady. -
New Creature – “Blat Choice”:
A crab-like monster that walks sideways with zero respect for your plans. -
Pets System:
Adopt cute little creatures that generate money passively.
Yes, they're helpful. No, you can’t eat them. -
Floating Text Feedback:
Clicking now shows satisfying floating numbers, with a system optimized to not slow down your game (even in HTML5 builds!). -
Tip System:
New players now get helpful on-screen hints during gameplay.
You're still going to suffer... but at least now you’ll know why. -
Save System Improved:
Save now works on HTML5 and Windows, finally!
You can close the tab without fear. Mostly. -
Difficulty slightly reduced:
Just a little. Don’t get too comfortable.
Behind the Scenes (For Fellow Devs!)
-
I’m still working with Godot 3.5.
-
The save system needed a full rewrite to support HTML exports properly (using path redirects and safe fallback for web builds).
-
Floating texts use an object pool system instead of new instances every time, to save performance.
-
The trader is a simple node that checks gold, deducts, and adds score — with Tween animations and a cute jingle.
-
“Blat Choice” uses a left/right patrol system with wall detection — it’s dumb and I love him.
Got Feedback?
-
Bugs?
-
Overpowered cards?
-
Hilarious moments?
-
