I have now released the game (outside of the game jam), but in order to play it you will need to have python and pygame installed. What I did was to just release a ZIP file with all game assets, so that the player can open up and run the .py file in order to run the game. So if you want to play you can find the game from my profile :)

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! I'm sorry, I believe the Game's file size is due to the BG music file format. I'm using wav files for the BG music and I still haven't changed my code to support transitions between sounds in file formats with better compression, like ogg, for example.
EDIT - I thought you were talking about the above image's file size. Sometimes I'm really dumb :')

It has some platforming mechanics, but it's not a typical platformer. So if you're looking for another Super Mario clone, look elsewhere. But if you want to use some of your platforming skills in a different type of fast paced arcade game, you can try this... :-)
