Hello! My name is Sam Hadding, and I am a cartoonist and animator. I also happen to be autistic, so things can be quite difficult sometimes. Nonetheless, I have defied many odds and got better at my cartoon skill as I developed more of my own personal style. The reason I wanted to be an animator and cartoonist is because I wanted to use my creativity to make others feel like they’re having a good time. With that being said, I also found another way spread mh creativity by making games. Originally made as a side gimmick for my website, my game making has spawned a life of its own on Microsoft MakeCode, Scratch, and, now, Itch.IO. Many of my Scratch games might be ported to Itch.IO, but in the meantime, feel free to play some of my games such as Nova Boltstar, a game that marks my Itch.IO debut! Also, the link to my cartoon website is in my profile if you want to check that out too!

Hello there,
This is my first post after just joining this discussion, so please forgive me and provide kind assistance if I have posted to the wrong subsection.
As a new member in this forum and wish to share and gain some knowledge. I am looking forward to create my own discussion to resolve my query and gain some knowledge though I have taken part in various discussion which is definitely helped me a lot.
Also in what category should be taken depends on what factors?
Thankyou in advance.
Hello, I'm Scott, aka Dracomicron.
I am self-publishing Wasteland Degenerates, a Mork- and Cy_Borg compatible RPG, via BackerKit crowdfunding (the campaign is in June). I also released a solo micro RPG set in the same universe, Enter the Dismal Armory, which you can find on this site!
I have been gaming since probably 1983 and have played a variety of systems over the years. I especially like Demon: the Fallen, AD&D 2e: Planescape, Gamma World, and Starfinder, but the Mork Borg-o-sphere has caught my interest of late.
I'm brand new to semi-pro game design, though I've been GMing for decades and have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn't. Even if I'm wrong, though, I'll learn something from it and do it better next time!
Hello, I'm Off-Leveled Pixels.
How are you all doing today?
This is my first community post despite having been around this site since last year. I'm sorry about that.
I've currently published (so far) two short games on this site. And currently, my focus is to continue making more small games to build up my portfolio and improve my game development skills. I'm still more or less an amateur.
Honestly, I've only become interested in video games recently, due to ones like The Wild at Heart by Moonlight Kids. Because of that, I started looking into 2D game development more, since the class that I had for it back in college was only two sessions.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself. God bless.
Hi! I'm ElOctopus Makes Games and...I make games!
I love game development, even more than playing them! I like every kind of game and I hope to make this my future job!
Actually I've uploaded one game for Android which is having a quite success...it is a party game! And then the other game I'm proud of is the game that I'm actually developing and updating regularly!
I also like to make some devlogs to show my development progress!
Then I want you to know that I'm looking to expand my followers! So if you will follow me, I will follow you back! I think taht it's a way to help eachother!
Thanks to everyone for reading this!
Enjoy!

Hello, new guy here. I thought I try this site. After watching lots of vids from markiplier I keep hearing about this site so I got curious. Currently I have almost zero knowledge in making games. Know a few bits but thats about it. Lets see if this gets anywhere if not how is this place and the games out there. Guess time will tell. Just so you know I am an oddball please dont mind me. All I have made til now is just a few vids on youtube. The less common themes and tunes I love that plays in the background in a lot of games. Guess you could call those tracks in the ambient genre. I hear alot of good tracks from indie games too. Anyways, lets try this.
Cheers folks!

Hi, I came to itch.io quite some time ago. Showed off some work-in-progress games, but they weren't real good in terms of quality, and had lots of bugs. I worked at learning programming a bit better after that, and finished a game and released it on itch. The game was a platforming game, but I'm also starting to find myself having an interest in making a visual novel game - creating side projects to "test the waters" before the potential to start a large project of it.
I have a lot of ideas, and not all of them make it to "release" stages, but I feel it makes the ideas that do make it, all the more better.
I just published the demo of my game called Absence of Light, it's an action rpg, it is inspired by soulslike games, try it and give feedback. It's also on Steam in case you rather play there.

Hi!

Hello, my name is Max and I'm a 3D artist! For the last three months, I've been learning programming, video editing, sound design, game design, and more. So, I'm excited to tell you that today I finally released my off-road horror game where your main goal is to escape a deep, dark forest and survive! I hope you enjoy it! It would be nice if you could rate and comment on my game: https://wnight.itch.io/scp-offroad.
Hi! My name is MoonyInspired and i do a whole lotta things. I am a student in brazil, 19 years, and after i started going into ttrpgs i started also creating games! Now i have two of them, which isnt much but i am proud. I speak portuguese, english and i am trying to learn mandarin.
Most of my creations will probably be shorter games, specially TTRPG systems, but they all have my own touch. I like to make things different and break the patterns we see all around so playing my games will never be the same as playing any other, at least thats what i try to achieve. I do the styling, writing and translation of all of my games, and i never use AI to illustrate. The art in my games will always be made by real people.
I am also, in general, a writer. I have published poetry and chronics but not in english. I hope we can all know ourselves a little better!!
Hello,

Brand new VGM composer here! Only been in the industry for about 2 months now, and I got chosen by an awesome game developer to write music for his side-scrolling Mecha beat-em up!
Also, I joined my first ever jam, the OST Composing Jam #7!
Looking to link with composers and share what I've learned as well as receive some tips from others.

Hello! I'm Elena and I'm a self-taught game developer. I use Unreal Engine to make my games. I've finished one game and I'm making one called 'nameless warrior' (My devlog is in the community page). I love creating games with a story and my dream is to be a successful game developer and writer. I have a few social media accounts and they are linked on my profile.
Hey! Ultracool.
I'm Rodion, I'm less cool. I am a level designer, but currently work nowhere: just graduated (school) this year. I make something experimental I call music, zines and stuff. I'm also planning and writing games and zines for the future. I'm hosting a podcast and doing stuff. Love itch and it's community. I think we're cool.
Hello fellow game developers,
My name is Alena, I am an expert artist and user interface developer with 10+ years of experience! It's nice to meet you all
I've been working on:
- League of Legends (Riot Games)
- EVE Online (CCP Games)
- Disney Wonderful Worlds (Jam City)
- Pathfinder: Kingmaker (Owlcat Games)
- and other small mobile games here and there.
Lately I've been increasingly drawn to collaborating with independent developers, helping them refine their projects. Each project is like a child you nurture and cherish, and I approach every game with special care and excitement!
That's why I decided to set up my own Game UI/UX studio and invite like-minded people to join. Being a studio owner isn't easy, but I'm doing everything I can to support my colleagues and collaborate with indie developers.
You can check out my studio's website at: https://www.dismantle.studio/
I am looking forward for collaborating with each of you and see how I can be helpful.
Best,
Alena.

I should've introduced myself years ago, but I only found out recently itch has forums so here I am.
Hi I'm Rosie Ultraviolett and I make video games but I also do animating, art, music, voice acting, writing, singing and a bit of 3D modelling because I have too many hobbies. I'm more active on Newgrounds but I upload all my games on here too because itch is cool and has a lot of game jams. I tend to make visual novel styled games in Godot with the help of the Dialogic plugin and I love doing everything myself as I'm a bit of a control freak.
Intro concluded!
Hi guys,
I'm wpgr and, most of the time, I drink beer and play games. Unemployed, for now, so I have all the time for that.
Besides, I own a bachelor in Game Design and also an AAA in 3D Animation, plus some basics in JavaScript.
I love the concept of GB Studio and I'm planning to learn it at 100% in order to craft my own game.
Cheers,

Hello there... I am an illustrator from Chile, and now I decided to start in videogames...
I have a youtube channel too, but I don't want to mix it with my nsfw games, so I prefer not to say the name of the channel.
I have been working in secret for 6 months, except for my girlfriend, a few friends and family members who know something.
Since I like to dedicate myself to video games, I'm thinking of studying programming next year, I'm pretty old but it's never too late to learn.
Hello! I joined Itch to participate in the recent one-page RPG jam, and ended up submitting a one-page RPG about traveling the Multiversal Library System via word association. I plan to release other content too, and have written some stuff for DayLITE Publications as well. I like SFF + Horror, games in general, and cats
Hello, tesselode (and everone else),
2D games and music is what I basically do aswell. Mainly with LGBTQ content. Currently I am immersed in a very large project, using an already existing victorian gay romance as an inspiration for a romance simulator. (This is the level of programming I am capable of so far. :-D and I love it)

Is this thing on? 😗🎙️
I'm bard_bytes, hobbyist game developer (LibGDX) and musician (saxophone + piano & electronic music via FL Studio). Joining to connect with other indie devs. Really enjoy developing and playing puzzle games, and try to keep my projects small and experimental.
Hope to see y'all around.
HELLOOO!! I'm sam!
I'm an artist and i enjoy creating stories! I've been playing games for a long time but just know decided to make an account (so i can comment on the games i liked! :>)
I'm also working on a game right now on renpy and am completely new to everything.
i also love games, books, shows, art, comics, music, and basically anything creative or artistic. :D
Hey, I'm Taylor. I've been a musician for 23 years, huge metal head but I'm cultured and ADHD so I make a lot of different music. With that being said, I've been attending Full Sail and it opened my eyes to Sound Design for Video Games and other media. I've found a deep passion for creating sound whether that be one shots, seamless loops for background FX or creating an ambient music track to loop while the game is paused and you're on your phone lol. I'm definitely looking to progress my design skills, network with new people and get this passion turned into a career.
Hello! I hope you're well! We are a Game Development startup that aims to blend Eastern culture with Western standards. We recently launched our website. Have a look and let us know what you liked most.

NEW DEV on a mission to create PIXEL GAMES - 2024
Hi, I'm Noci! I'm 28 years old, and I'm finally chasing my dream of creating my own games.
I'm passionate and ready to put in the hard work. In my spare time, I watch dev videos, read blogs, and take courses to dive deeper into this new hobby.
I also work a 30-hour week as an SEO manager and run two small websites.
If you have any knowledge, tips, tricks, or even coaching to offer, I'd love to hear from you! Just drop me a line—I'm ready to learn.
bi-lingual cabbage patch! 🤢🥶😡 1!!
I am currently working on game(s) but have little to no experience with social media or being super cool online. My background is mostly art history, so I have a hard time finding people who match w/ me. I am no snob but tend to be. Gaming has been a hobby of mine that I want to take seriously with many more intelligent people. Thanks~😽
Hi all,
I’ve been teaching myself to develop in Unity and learning C# and modeling in Blender. On and off for the past few years, I’ve been developing a point and click style 3D dungeon crawler (think like graphics and gameplay from the original Ultima Underworld minus the RPG elements and combat combined with Day of the Tentacle and Gabriel Knight). The game is probably 90% complete and I’m hoping this is the year I get the final polish done.

Hi! I'm David, or Drendur! I work with an anime company doing project management and Business Development. I just discovered Itch yesterday as I was searching for opensource game assets to make a demo game for the company I work with. I'm looking for assets, inspiration, partners, and of course, deals!
Since it is my first time making a game, I have SOOOOO many questions but look forward to meeting more of you on the timeline.
Hello Everyone, I can't believe I am doing the intro thing because I am so bad at it. In person I am even worse at it. I just sit there thinking, "How do I respond like a normal human . . . how do I respond like a normal human . . ." ha
My name is Eric Savon. I am a jack of all trades and so far a master of nothing. I am an actor, writer, youtuber, streamer, video editor/filmmaker, artist, and English Professor, ESL Instructor, tutor, and instructional designer. What does that last one mean? It means I design and develop courses for online classes and traditional in-person ones as well.
I guess I am about to add game dev to my list because I have always wanted to make my own game. So, here's to my first step in a long, long journey of learning. Happy to connect with all of you.
Other socials just in case you want to connect there. Twitter Instagram, FacebookPage if you're a boomer like me.
Hello folks! I am almost a solo game developer. I make games purely on a hobby basis. Sometimes friend of mine (non-digital artist) joins me to share my madness and try new artistic techniques.
Our games
In order not to burn out and have a rest, I have now taken on a challenge from myself - to bring the game to a public release in 30 daily devlogs. Of course, I can’t do this every day, but I try. Now it’s already the sixth. Which means I’ve already passed 20 percent of the way. You can make a preliminary cut of the result using the principle of Occam’s razor. It seems that the main game loop is not bad and brings fun and immersion. You can follow the progress on the YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@CombatDicesTeam
Good, positive and successful coding to everyone!
Hello, im a game developer from Chile and im working on a "shoot em up", please take a look on the game, this is the link: Space Invasor (demo 2.0) by Kriosteta (itch.io)
My name is Jared, and I'm the artist Midnight Bandit, creating Lo-Fi Electronica on streaming platforms like Spotify.
I'm a writer / storyteller as well and have a story called The Electric Noir that closely ties in with my music. I have created over 730 pieces since 2020, and have released season one of my story in audio form on YouTube. I have been making music since 2012, and also create content that gets into philosophy and mental health topics on my YT page.
My goals with itch are to hopefully find people who'd be willing to work on projects related to my intellectual property and universe, and people who are open to using my music for their games. I am always up to create new music and am skilled in multiple genres of music.
I would essentially like to put my large catalog of work to good usage, and help create a portfolio of projects to offer to game developers as a way of entering the video game composing and licensing world, and hopefully gain valuable skills and become a better artist in-general.
I hope that you might consider my work for your next big idea.

Hi all, my name is Scott and I enjoy making stuff in HTML/CSS/JavaScript in my spare time, my most recent project being a 2D web browser game called 👩🦰 Superdeb!
I've published Superdeb here on itch (thanks for the free hosting!) and I also have a site over on Neocities where I post my web projects and blog about stuff.
Hello, I'm DeBug and I am currently in middle school! I LOVE making games, and enjoy every aspect of development(especially programming). I make vector art AND pixel art, yet haven't explored much 3d game development yet! I play the violin, and love participating in game jams and remaking older games :)! Unfortunately, nobody I know can make games, or enjoys doing any of it, so I am on my own for now!
Hi Everyone! I'm KingBell-----just published a new Free Tool called Pixel Art Sprite Mixer.
I've made multiple games in the past but now returning back to development and design. The Sprite Mixer lets you export sprites, animations and customize characters. I want to develop more tools for the community to help others craft their dream games. Excited to see what people create!
4Dpixel . a small dev with a new game titled : Small mouse Big House . hope you try it https://4dpixel.itch.io/small-mouse-big-house

Hello! I'm a newish game dev artist (most of my older vns were coded by my friend). I like playing around in Gamemaker. I make hypnosis/meditation games where I try to have a story to them than be generic spiritual/self help. I guess you can call me a hypnotist psychonaut lol. Sometimes i'm making games about a funny lil mad scientist or an entire tarot deck themed after bunnies.
Hi,
my name is Chris and I am a music-composer. Up to now i composed for commercials and movie but I like to start compose for games because tbh I just play Games and watch no TV anymore. Games have the better storytelling :-)
My focus is on adventures and RPG, cause that are the genres I like to play myself ;-)
I hope to build connections here and find people with the same goals!
Have a nice week. Cheers,
Chris
Hi, I'm Mark Cornwell. I am finishing up a game written entirely in Haskell soon to appear on Steam.
Brave Splat is a real time strategy game in a medieval setting. Mine copper, build your base, train units and defend your kingdom. Fight off invaders. Features simple game play and a minimalist graphical style. The game emphasizes strategic thinking and decision making as opposed to twitch-like reflexes. It an homage to the classic RTS games of the 1990's. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2105820/Brave_Splat/
An ingesting aspect of the game is that it is does *not* use any of the standard game engines. It is written entirely in Haskell incorporating a couple of libraries to provide a simple graphics library and event-driven foundation. My background in math and computer science drew me to functional programming and to Haskell in particular. I started this project because I had no idea how one might write a real time strategy game in a functional language. I wanted to crack that problem. This game is the result. I hope you like it.
Cheers!
I’m Jason B. I run a webseries that’s been going on for a good few years as of now and I’m still trying to figure out how to make supporting games for it but luckily I’m getting closer and closer to my goal. I really need to make my only game at the moment more challenging tho lolz :p
Oh I also like rock, metal and electronic music and kinda have a deep fascination for space.
Hello there !
I’m Triganov. I’m a professional backend developer. In my free time, I’m passionate about developing retro 2D video games.
I mainly develop in JavaScript and C#.
Right now, I’ve given myself a month and a half off from work to focus on my game and truly feel like a real video game developer. Why, you ask? Besides the fact that I enjoy creating video games, there’s also the lingering memory of being told as a teenager that I’d never be able to develop a video game... Let’s see if I can silence that demon from the past. ^^

Hey everyone!
Originally, I became aware of itch some years ago while looking for games to play online. It was incredible to find a place where one could find all sorts of awesome games made by passionate indie creators from all different levels, and even from around the world.
While still learning, I am an aspiring game developer (Godot: GDScript), and look forward to being a contributing member of this community in the future.
Great to be part of itch.io. Will love to make new friends here.
Hi everyone I'm FreakyDayz i love making games this isn't my full time job its just a hobby.
I've always done drawings as a kid and loved playing games but then I found GODOT and wow its so good I love it.
Would love to get more feed back in my games as I've still got lots to lean and would also love to work with someone on a game :)
I've only
done 1 game jam so far on my own lol.
here's my itch page ------ FreakyDAYZ - itch.io
Greetings! 👾
I just recently joined the itch community and am looking to work on projects of all shapes and sizes. I can create original in-game / trailer music for your project. As well as provide any corresponding sound FX that match the style, mood and tension of the action.
I'm offering free musical services in exchange for a rockin fun time with some of you wacky game developers and fellow artists.

Hey everyone! I've been on Itch for a few years but I don't think I ever properly introduced myself here 😅 oopsies!
UK non-binary solo game developer and musician Borealis here. I make visual novels (often with emotional rollercoasters attached) and compose music for game soundtracks. I have quite a few of each under my belt already, but I'm raring to expand my portfolio. If anyone is looking for a soundtrack composer, feel free to drop me a line! I'm game for most genres, but my specialties are emotional piano tracks, full band tracks with heavy guitar, lofi style beats, and retro style electronic chiptune, which I make on a modded 1989 Game Boy for authenticity~
Looking forward to chatting more with you all, and getting more involved in this awesome indie community 🙌

Sure! downloads are posted on the site. Note: Windows 7 or newer only is supported. but the scratch files are also posted for open use (modding and whatnot). The game is sort of like a block building game. Blocks can be placed from a drawer and cloned. Eventually, i will add more custimazation, survival mode and perhaps even online play. Thank you so much for the support! i hope your dev journey goes well.

HEAVY GRIT LTD.
Hey, I'm part of a new indie games company and we're currently working hard on a new point & click game!
Our first major project will be a pixel style adventure game based around a cast of misfits within a unique and nostalgic Americana setting.
If anyone is interested in being involved creatively or would like to follow our journey for updates, please head to our landing page https://www.heavygrit.com/
Hello! my name is Alex and I am a beginner developer and I also venture into the area of pixel art and a little vector art, I am developing a game that has not left the beginning of an idea since 2023, I like metroidvania and jrpg / action games, anyone interested in taking a look at what I will post in the future is graciously welcome!
call me steff~ im having a lot of fun playing visual novels of many sorts. i welcome suggestions, too.
i'm in my "recently single and wish i had a partner again but i know i'm not ready yet" era, so basically..... i've been playing dating sims nonstop. then i started going for the horror vns too (it seems whenever i reach a stage of depression i go for horror media LOL) and then i was like... hey... what if i MADE a horror vn.....and it's also a monster romance from the point of view of the monster (`▽´ )!!!
i'm no stranger to python due to my job, plus i've been making art and writing as a hobby for over a decade... so it has all the ingredients to be a good recipe. i do hope i get to make at least one complete vn this year, even if its got only sketches for art (˶ˆᗜˆ˵) i dunno if it'll happen, but regardless, i'm having a grand time playing the stories other people have made~

Hello everyone!
It is good to see so many people here earnestly following their hearts and pursing their creative whims and dreams so authentically!
I am WraithGlade, an ex-AAA game developer who originally got into the game industry right out of college after much effort and good fortune only to have what I thought would be my big break in life turn into one of the worst times in my life due to toxic office politics and difficulties in adjusting to that even despite much effort. I got along well with most everyone there (as usual for me anywhere), but it only takes a few people and/or bad circumstances to make for a bad environment, especially for use sensitive creative types.
I don't really want to talk about that job though. It was also about a decade ago (a long time and I want to move on). Suffice to say, a combination of (1) the residual effects of that toxicity at what I had thought would be my dream job crushed much of my creative spirit and (2) my own personal counterproductively overbearing tendencies towards perfectionism and analysis paralysis and second guessing things (especially language and tool choices) together have led me to struggle with a miserable creative mental block that has lasted me about a decade, preventing me from actually making games despite it being the central desire of my life for almost my whole life (I'm in my 30s) and something I've sacrificed a lot for and invested a lot of time and expenses in. I've spent literally years just endless making rationalizations for endlessly messing around with obscure languages and tools and reading tons of programming tutorial books endlessly month after month and yet not doing hardly anything real.
I am recently trying to make a big push to finally overcome those mental blocks and fulfill my potential and life responsibilities better!
I feel like I have been waiting a whole decade for my life to even begin, and that has been more frustrating than I can even ever find words to describe. Years ago, I sacrificed essentially all other aspects of my life in anticipation of game dev, yet it blew up in my face instead due to the AAA job and I want more than anything to finally be able to move on from that and start living again. I went from graduating near the top of my class and being hired at a higher position than I applied for at the AAA job (because they were so impressed in the interview) to being unable to function creatively at all with respect to game dev for most of the past whole decade.
I am essentially "your friendly neighborhood traumatized AAA game developer" in a nutshell.
I wish for all of you a much better game dev journey than the painful one that I have walked.
Feel free to say hi or ask a question if you want to know a bit more about something in game dev and I may be able to answer. I am rusty and partially creatively dysfunctional, but I still have learned a lot over the years and I want other people not have to suffer as I did and hence it is important to me to be supportive of other people.
Likewise, I hope that when I am finally able to overcome my creative mental block and release a real project that the good people of Itch will prove to be a wholesome community to share that with so that I can at long last mend the bad mental associations that have loomed over my mind since the dark times of my experiences in AAA and of my resignation from there and the myriad stresses since then.
Most importantly though, as always, I am wishing all here a wonderful creative journey and equally wonderful lives.
May brighter horizons and sustainable creativity await us all!
Thank you for reading and have a great day/night.
(PS: Sorry if I am long-winded. I am notably verbose in my natural speech pattern.)
I'll be nice if you'll be nice to me.
Despite most people's immediate concern, I don't in fact hold an automatic prejudice or reserve pre-conceived notions of people that are unlike me. If you want to get to know me better, I would advise you be the most yourself possible. Given TOS and other circumstances I'm sure we can abide by.
That being said, I tend to be really up front about a lot of things.
I hope.
don't plead.
Let's make games
live our dreams.
Hello, just making an introduction post. I'm a big fan of the site, lots of great games on here. Not a developer myself, just a game player, I wouldn't know much about the developing side of things. I have enjoyed sifting through the pages on the site though, seen some great material. If I can help out in any kind of way then don't hesitate to contact me. Have a good day and good luck.

Looks like I never stopped here to introduce myself when I created my account.
I hope everyone is doing well. I'm Joe, I've been on and off developing games since 2012, I have tried and failed for many years to make cool 3D experiences in Unity and Unreal, and am slowly realizing 2D might be my fate. I love 3D, shooters, action games, and namely open world RPGs, but in all my years the complexities of 3D development is just so challenging to get working correctly. I have a lot more fun with 2D and find that the development time of everything gets cut down to a fraction of what it would take to get anything in 3D working, so atleast for the time being I think I'll be fine working on 2D projects and UI only projects (think of cookie clicker, i guess it's technically 2D), I've participated in a few game jams on here in the short time I've been on itch, it's a lot of fun and a cool way to work on projects that I otherwise would have never been making. I strive to be active on here and become a part of the itch community, I'm certified in python programming, so I try to help pygame devs troubleshoot (even though i can barely help myself *see my profile for a pygame project that i can't get packaged into an .exe*), I also am into PC building, cyber security, GameMaker is an engine I spend a lot of time in, I toy with Unity but can never seem to get it to work how I want it to.
Anyway, I've been aware of itch for years and finally decided to come join and have some fun with y'all.
Have a great day, I'll see y'all around!

Hi my name is Frans and I am an aspiring game developer. I know pixel art and have been working on a game werfast.
This game; minigame i want to create will be a tactical coop defense horror game. with 4-6 players local play which takes place with some kind of zombie/mutant enemies to infest the whole city.
Gameplay:
1-6 players coop defend against horde/wave attacks. each player play as s soldier to arm themselves with different small arms.: assault rifle, pistol, grenade launcher, grenade etc.
In the fight they will also customize themself with different gear like plate carrier to reduce damage.
The team structure
1 Art director and level design
6-10 pixel artist
1 marker
1 programmer.
time frame: 2-3month (can be prolonged)
It will be marketed on steam and each of the team will receive the same amount of share for the profit!
here is my game plan for this project.
My self introduction is long overdue after being a member of this platform since 2020! 🙇♀️
To put it simply: I’m a singer & artist. I create custom VRoid models, song covers, graphics, etc.
Ya girl has been gaming ever since I was a kid growing up on the internet, though PC is my primary medium for multiple reasons.
Nowadays, I also spend a LOT of time running multiple online communities alongside my indie VTuber activities.
Fun fact: I’m specifically trying to release more of my newer P2U products around here & Ko-Fi this year.
My name is Nate Wallace and I am a composer, producer, and instrumentalist with a specialty in video game music. Online I'm also called Alpha Wolf Music, Chef Alpha, and even Music Man by some.
My goal is to be able to create music as a full time career. I have a strong interest in writing music for video games and I've written for a few already. My most significant experience came from Roblox working on a game called Pokemon Brick Bronze. I got this gig the summer before I started college and I had a lot to learn at this point. I'm very happy with how far I've come as a composer and I'm eager to find more work in a wide variety of genres.
I have many interest outside of music such as video games (duh right?), American football, cooking, and reading. I'm quite the extrovert IRL, but I've struggled to bring that same energy online. That's why I've recently made stronger efforts to connect with people on Discord, Bluesky, and now here on Itch. I'm particularly interested in connecting with other indie devs for 2 reasons. The first one is that it'll likely lead me to more composition work. But the second one is that I truly want to be able to support these smaller developers and spread the word on their games.
I do music production streams on Twitch every week, and I've expressed the desire to expand my stream topics. One thing I'm VERY interested in doing is gaming, but specifically Indie games. I won't go too deep into that at the risk of making this intro way longer than it needs to be. With that said, I think I'll leave it here. It excites me that there seems to be a strong community here on Itch, seeing as this thread is 9+ years old and people are still posting on it. Hopefully I get to work with many of the devs here, or at the very least play your games.
I appreciate anyone who took the time to read this and I wish nothing but the best for every creator!
Hi Everyone, here's my little story.
For nearly 20 years, I worked as a software programmer, building systems, solving problems, and honing my craft. I'm a gamer just like all of you. I am also a self-taught graphic artist. For so long, I have enjoyed games from behind the gamepad. But deep down, I always carried a dream to create video games. Life, however, has a way of pulling us in different directions, and that passion sat quietly on the backburner.
Everything changed last September when I lost my job due to health issues. Shortly after, I received a diagnosis that turned my world upside down: lymphocytic leukemia, a type of cancer. Battling cancer and facing an uncertain future was daunting, but it also gave me time to reflect on what truly mattered to me. I decided to embark on this journey to be a gamedev. If not now, when?
In december, while undergoing treatments, I found a spark of hope in an unexpected place: the AI revolution. Advances in technology were making game development tools, assets, and resources—such as art and music—more accessible than ever. Making games alone once seemed an insurmountable task, it now felt within reach. I know that AI is not popular in some gamedev communities. But as small gamedevs, it gives us an edge against big AAA studios. So I advocate the open use of AI: if you use it, tell the public how you used it and let them decide if they want your game or not.
Rotem, my first game, was born. It is a relatively simple tile puzzle game for Casual gamer and puzzle enthusiasts. It has 3 types of puzzles with different different difficulty settings. It's development phase is done. I am making an official launch on Steam, Epic Games Store and Itch.io on march 1st. I am pretty excited about it. I have slowly started my next project, a deckbuilder RPG based on tarot cards. This will be much more for the hardcore gamer.
I hope to continue growing as a game developer. I’m fighting cancer, but I’m also fighting for my dream, and with the support of the gaming community, I hope this is only the beginning of something great.
After years of dreaming about creating games, I've finally taken the plunge into the world of novel visuals for adults.
As an artist who loves to explore the depths of human emotions and relationships through my illustrations, I couldn't be more excited to bring this passion to life in a new medium. 🌟✨
My journey into game development may be just beginning, but I'm committed to creating engaging stories that will captivate your imagination and leave you wanting more.
I look forward to sharing my progress with you and hearing your thoughts along the way. Here's to many more adventures together! 💖

Hi guys!
My name is Addison, I'm a 36 year old working food service full-time salaried, and recently found a deep interest in game designing in the RPG genre and just looking for my right path at the moment. I've never had a good imagination or haven't been good at art or anything like that, but, I'm definitely willing to try and learn now and hopefully someday, I can start making a portfolio and build upon that and see what happens from there!
I've never used itch.io for the 5 something years I've had this account, but that's going to change now since I've bought a couple bundles from mostly ELV Games.
I'm dedicated and I might be lost in what I'm doing but I'll get there soon! I do have a couple of RPG Makers I haven't used in forever and might have to buy some new latest RPG Makers, or try for Godot. I will make my 2D Dragon Fantasy RPG game come true someday. I have a really big love for Dragons.
If you'd like to help out a newbie like me, just chat about designing and share tips along the way, etc. with me, while watching me grow on this journey, give me a shout!
Hi! I'm Brigadeiro, I'm a beginner dev makes games in Construct. I could consider myself creative, since I generally try to make my games as creative as possible, I always grab a cliché concept and turn it upside-down into something completely new.
You can probably recognize my games from a mile away, they all have a similar MS Paint-ish hand-drawn artstyle with colored outlines. I make games of the most varied types, one day, I'm making a cloud-watching Where's Waldo game, the other, I'm making a quiz game with multiple endings and dialogue.
I really enjoy participating in game jams, it's barely been two months and I've been to four different jams, all these jam games are sort of my higher-effort games, since they will be ones people will see the most, but also because their unique concepts make me wanna make them be INCREDIBLE! I mostly do everything on my games, art, music, concepts, gameplay. Sometimes, a friend helps me in coding, but it's not always.
Recently, I've been working on a life simulator sandbox called Bols, where you have a bunch of silly little guys that eat, drink, mate, sleep, sneeze, hunt, hide, fly, and die. Here's the link if y'all wanna play: https://nightfoxy25-animations.itch.io/bols
Hello everyone! I'm a sophomore game developer who has poured my heart into creating a first-person 3D adventure game with psychological horror elements using Unreal Engine. This project is a labor of love that blends exploration, puzzle-solving, and immersive storytelling into one unique experience. Attached below are some screenshots from the game - I would be truly grateful if you could take a moment to check them out and support an aspiring creator's journey. Every bit of encouragement helps fuel my passion for game development!MY GMAE called "To find her" in steam
Hi! Motion Cache is a small aspiring team. We are focusing on all things related to motion(animation). We want Motion Cache to be our outlet for all things related to animation. We create animated assets for social media, animated emotes, bizarre animated shorts, and now we are working on learning to make video games. Currently we create animated emotes for twitch and discord on Etsy. We also have released an animated short called The Toe. But we'd really love to dive deep into game dev. This medium is amazing for storytelling and that is our true passion.
My day job is motion design in the advertising world. Our other team member is a graphic designer in advertising as well. But we are trying to break free from that world and get back to our roots and remember why we pursued animation and design in the first place. For us, that reason is to share stories that might resonate with others.
I am the animator, and aspiring developer. We've been documenting our journey learning game development and exploring this amazing medium. We have a heavy interest in narrative-driven games that balance story with great gameplay. If you are interested in our journey you can find our social media links on our page or find us @MotionCache on YT, Instagram, and X.
The video above focuses on where I started and how I ended up trying to learn game development. It touches on some personal moments in my life to help you to get to know me. For future videos it will be less serious and more fun. We'd love to hear what you think and if you have any advice. New video will be out next month.
Hey everyone, I'm Brian, a long-time tabletop gamer who has recently gotten into writing games. Love lots of especially wild west, weird west, historical period, grimdark fantasy, horror, and dystopian stuff. Recently published a wild west one-shot called The Reckoning here on itch. I'm also a print maker and do a lot of block print art.
I don't have any social media except Substack, but I do publish lots of free articles, actual play write-ups, oracles, and game design ideas on there. Check it out if you're interested! Thanks!

Hi, I'm the LowKeyDev and for anyone reading this, I make games with UPBGE. A bit older, but it works.
I've developed a 3D reboot of the arcade classic Pong, as well as a game of my own devising that I call Splat. Imagine Smash Bros but both players are goombas.
Anyone interested in a subscribe plug on my project page feel free to record and post a video of one of these games.
Hi, I'm the Tajammal Maqbool and for anyone reading this, I develop games with JavaScript, Phaser3 and Unity. I made many games and have 4+ years of experience in it. If you are interested in website games then you can look at my profile and website:

Hello, my name is monicor is 23tovarm, and I have for the past three months began learning Python and SQL coding for work, which spiraled into a crack at video game designing with my favorite topic: ECONOMICS and GRAPHS. Just recently posted my dev log of my passion project in the works, and I'm just so happy to have discovered this platform!
Hi Itch.io I'm Not Drago, im currently making easy to use discord bot templates that work out of the box and can be easily added on to and edited. I'm completely new to itch and am hoping to find great connections and people who like my work and benefit from it. I hope everyone's having a fantastic day.
I’m RetroCoder and I’m an indie game developer.
I create my games in pure JavaScript without any game engines. I take part in the GMTK Game Jam every year which is a great challenge for me. I will be taking part in the Gamedevjs Jam this year which is all JavaScript based, so right up my alley.
I post updates on Instagram with my games and any jams I take part in. I am beginning to work on a large game project which will take a long time to complete but I will be posting more about that nearer the time.
Please check out my games and feel free to leave any feedback as that would be appreciated!
Hello, welcome to Itch, the best place to get notice when you finish your game for me is Release announcement: https://itch.io/board/10022/release-announcements
devlogs are also helpful!
Hi! I’m Cedar, or Critter, and I’m only just starting with video game development, mostly via game jams. I love sci-fi, fantasy, and interesting worldbuilding — especially anything that considers nonhuman cultures and/or unusual creatures. I also enjoy TTRPGs and random tables. Feel free to reply to show me things you’ve made!
Hello folks! I've been here for a while, but I never introduced myself properly. Why not give it a try now?
My name is Doksa, and I'm primarily a writer, but I dabble in programming and game design as well! I make story-based games, mainly visual novels and interactive fiction. I'm working on like five projects at a time (I really need more sleep), however my main right now is an unpublished otome visual novel called Bounty or Booty for the Otome Jam 2025! It's a silly little game where you date pirates! Have a picture of the love interests as drawn by the artist (tomotoad) and edited by me:

I'm down to be mutuals if anyone wants to follow! Mwah!
Hi! I'm Tenkarider, i joined a bunch of time ago but never really used itch so far...
In the latest years i developed several games and horror audiogames released on Steam, mainly as Game Designer, but also as programmer and other minor roles like sound design, etc.
I'm planning to bring some of those games on itch.io as well, i hope to gather some feedback about them when the time will come, so stay tuned!
Hello!
i'm melo and i just made this account
i love music and i make songs.. i also play piano and guitar and im aiming to go to music college as an opera singer :3
all this music thing basically started from the undertale soundtrack.. i became so obsessed that i searched on google how the music was made and this youtube video showed up where someone recreated some of the songs. that's when i started making my own songs, first videogame music and now i make normal instrumental music, different genres from classical to electronic
one of my dreams is hearing my songs in a game, so that's why i made this account. im not really after money, this is just something i'd love to do. playing a game while i hear my songs is rewarding enough :)
that's it i guess, take care everyone!
oh ok :) I am caius and i really want to be a game dev. And soon my first game called cook it dont burn it is realeasing on may 1st. Its about the player getting a job at a restaurant at a place called yum!. But there is a dark secret in it. Also there is a secret google drive you can find in game. And it has as matpat said multiple times LOOOORRRREEE. Heres the link to it https://caius27.itch.io/cook-it-dont-burn-it-demo
Anyways so yeah thats it bye have a good day
That’s probably because it hasn’t been (re-)indexed yet! See here: https://itch.io/t/4120453/game-quarantined-search-or-indexing-problem-read-this
I'm AideedGameZ. I made game and I also the creator of GGProz, which I'm planning to make a game production. Well, not official tho. I love develop a game, especially I have experience a quite in Unity3D and Blender3D, yet I'm still learning. This is the game that I am proudly would like to introduce to you guys, https://aideedgamez.itch.io/ikan-bakar-seafood-cafe
Try it out, no download needed. If you have any idea, let it out. I'm open to improve

Hi Aideed,
I have tried your game seafood cafe and saw your channel. My take on 3D games is to import from 3D asset stores to have a more polished look. Otherwise I can guess you've built the whole small town yourself in Unity and Blender. Right now, the interaction is mostly in the cafe. I would add interaction in the town too, it seem like a chill place. Just my own 2 cents.
BTW, your Tsunami simulator seem fun.

Hey all — I'm Nathan, and I recently launched a small studio/brand called AI Vibe Forge where I explore "vibe coding" — basically building fast, in flow, with AI assistance.
My first public project is a Stock Market Simulator — I built the initial playable demo in just 2 days using Godot 4.4 and a bit of AI-powered momentum. The demo’s up now on Itch if you want to try it: 🔗 Play the Demo Here
Outside of game dev, I’m into writing, design, and tools that help creators break through the “stuck” feeling. Vibe coding is kind of my way to blend all that.
Looking forward to checking out some of your projects too!
Hi, I'm Karel! From Czechia.
I do QA-Quality assurance testing for living.
My biggest hobby is making videogames and I'm currently working on Balladrion, a rogue-lite RPG with a light narrative focus.
I've been developing the game solo in my spare time for the past 6 months—and there's still at least another 6 (or more!) to go.
Your feedback and support mean a lot as the world of Balladrion continues to grow. https://marionettecz.itch.io/balladrion or https://store.steampowered.com/app/3756740/Balladrion/

Hey there! I've been here for a while, but I haven't had a chance to say hello yet. I'm Marek, I'm a composer and sound designer from Warsaw, Poland. My favorite game genre is RTS, so I'd love to talk to anyone who has something interesting to say about it :)
Check out my music and sound design here.
Hi everyone ! My name's Yoga from Indonesia. I'm a UX Specialist (Designer/Researcher/Copywriter) by trade; however by passion I'm an English -> Indonesian translator for 2 decades, and a game localizer for just above a year.
I've been a silent lurker here for a while ever since the hype of indie gaming is growing rapidly, and with that same passion in gaming, I’m trying to start a new EN-ID localization business focused on helping indie games reach a massive Indonesian gaming audience—and I’m currently offering indie game developers free localization for up to 1,500 words of in-game text (dialogue, UI, menus, etc.). and/or any marketing/promotion material for indie games.
My major public portfolio is the entire Counter-Strike 2 game in Indonesian, or you can click here for a direct sample
But why am I doing this, you ask? I’m just getting started and want to build real case studies—not just theory. But most importantly, I care about this just as much as you all here care for your games.
So whether you're still building the game or finished your first build, I'm open to any and all exciting collaborations! DM me or comment below with your game link or a short blurb. Or I'm also down to have a chat!
Let’s all create something hebat ('awesome' in Indonesian)!
Yours truly,,
Yoga

Hey everyone! I'm Els from Hawaii, aka WaveCoder. Because two of my biggest passions are surfing and game development.
I got into Unity and Blender back in 2021, but things really clicked about three years ago when I started pouring serious time into learning the craft. Since then, I’ve been building a tactical RPG called The Uprising, learning everything from scratch along the way.
I’ve just released a demo to get feedback, sharpen the blade, and keep leveling up as a solo dev. It's been a long road already—but hey, the dream is to finish this thing before the decade's over, right? ;)
If you get a chance to check out the demo, I’d love to hear your thoughts: The Uprising (Demo) by WaveCoder
Thanks! :)
Hey all, I am Andrei from Romania. I am very new to gamedev and programming in general but I am trying to learn as much I can in my free time and also have fun with it. I worked a bit in Unity before they decided to discombobulate their entire community with those fees, nowadays I work mainly in Godot with C#. I am still in school so I don’t have a lot of free time but I try to sharpen my skills as often as I can.
So far I have only finished one project that isn’t all that impressive but I am proud of it because this field of work ain’t easy and it took a while to finish it.
Hey, I am completely new here . I was trying to develop a game trailer for game design document , skilled team members , investors etc... and ended up here . I am also learning Unity from a friend I met on Discord. Also looking for a company who could train me on few of game development software while building my game. I know how crack the market. So basically I am confident and I am making work.
That's me !
