Hey everyone! Iโ€™d love to get some feedback on my game, Dish and Deal, an exciting card game where you deal the cards and dish the drama! Strategy is key as you navigate unpredictable twists and turns. I'm looking for thoughts on gameplay balance, mechanics, and overall fun factor. Any feedback would be super helpful!

Let me know what you think! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I'm "Binary Sheep", a solo indie developer, and Iโ€™m currently working on Dish & Deal, a unique deckbuilding game that combines food service with exciting risk-and-reward mechanics. Knowing how much you all love indie games, I thought you might enjoy checking it out!

It's a delightful, laid-back game that really pulls you in with its adorable design and soothing gameplay. Building your little islands and watching them come together is so satisfying

The story and characters are really well done, and the gameplay is simple but meaningful. Itโ€™s the kind of game that stays with you after youโ€™ve finished.

The gameplay is simple yet engaging, and the world-building is fantastic. I love the balance between exploration and strategy.

The mechanics are simple but the puzzles really make you think. The atmosphere and design add a cool touch, and the challenge ramps up nicely.

The strategic decisions you make with each card feel really impactful, and the roguelike elements keep it fresh every time you play. The art is great, and the gameplay is addictive.

The gameplay is unique, and the mechanics around controlling fire are both challenging and rewarding. The art and atmosphere are stunning, making every moment feel tense and meaningful.

The mix of strategy and resource management is really satisfying, and I love the cute art style. Itโ€™s simple but offers enough depth to keep you engaged.

The world-building is impressive, with plenty of depth in both the characters and environments. The game does a great job of blending strategic decision-making with engaging storytelling, which makes every choice feel impactful.

The gameplay is fast-paced, and thereโ€™s a lot of depth in how you approach each battle. The art style is awesome, and it keeps you coming back for more.

The dungeon crawling is intense, and each death feels like a learning experience. The mechanics are solid, and I love the challenge.

The concept is super fun, and I love how the gameplay is simple but addictive. The art and style are charming, and it has a great sense of humor.

Super fun and quirky!

Interesting game! Can't wait for the full release!

Simple but very enjoyable puzzle game!

I had a blast with Wizard Hand! The way you cast spells is so unique, and I love how it combines strategy with a bit of creativity

This game really puts your skills to the test, and I loved every second of it. The combat feels tight, and thereโ€™s a real sense of accomplishment when you get better.

I really enjoyed Pink Lemonade! The art style is super charming, and the gameplay is simple but really creative

Surprisingly Addictive! The mix of strategy and randomness makes every run exciting, and thereโ€™s always that โ€œone more tryโ€ feeling.

Thank you so much! We're thrilled youโ€™re enjoying the strategy aspect and the power-ups! We can't wait for you to dive into the upcoming pools, lots of exciting stuff ahead! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŽฎ

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad the game brought back that feeling for you. Stay tuned ,there's more to come! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ”ฅ

Thanks for your feedback! This visual bug is only visible on the itch.io web platform. Once it releases on steam the bug has already been fixed but i am trying my best to fix it in the web.

Dish & Deal is a strategic cooking game where you serve delicious dishes using a variety of ingredients at your disposal. Use powerful power-ups to boost your gameplay, perfect your timing, and strategize your moves to satisfy customers and rise to culinary fame. Can you master the art of the deal?

Thank you so much for trying out Toxic Choices and for your positive feedback!

To be honest, it is somewhat difficult—but that's kind of the point, hence the name. Even the choices you make when crafting and testing elixirs are toxic. But in the end, I think it might actually be too difficult. I probably should have released the previous version instead—it was fairer to the player. But it is what it is.

Also, congratulations on your game! The visuals are fantastic, and the gameplay is really interesting and original. I think youโ€™ll be one of the winners—if not, it would definitely be unfair.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for trying it out! The truth is, itโ€™s a bit difficult.

Toxic, as well as Cold and Heat, are negative effects, and the bars fill up depending on the area youโ€™re in. If a bar fills up completely, you start losing health based on whether youโ€™re poisoned, frozen, or overheated.

Thank you so much for trying it out and letting me know that you understood how to manage the materials from enemies to create elixirs—whether beneficial, toxic, or both.

Yeah, itโ€™s a bit of a challenge even for me ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ญ

Thank you so much for trying it out and for the detailed feedback! Yeah, the resolution issue really got on my nerves, and I think itโ€™s caused by itch.io and the way it scales up my canvas in Unity. Other friends tested it and didnโ€™t have any issues, but if you lower the zoom in your browser when you are in fullscreen, I think everything becomes visible.

That said, as a game developer, I donโ€™t like offering this kind of workaround, but after working nearly 13 hours a day for almost three days to finish it, I can forgive myself—though Iโ€™m open to any feedback.

I also know the animations could have been much better, but time was tight.

Still, I really appreciate you trying it out, and good luck with the rest of the game jam!

Thank you very much for playing my game <3

Good luck on the gamejam

I can`t open the game

For all of you having resolution issues, try lowering the zoom in your browser and then go fullscreen. Sorry, but I can't quite figure out how it scales up based on my Unity canvas. In Unity, everything works perfectly in free aspect ratio, but on Itch.io, sometimes it does whatever it wants.

Also, great effort on your game! You have very nice and vibrant colors, and the overall gameplay is interesting and unique. Good luck with the game jam!

Thank you very much for your reply, but I didnโ€™t have the time to focus more on the animations.

I did everything—game idea, code, graphics, and music—on my own in just three days, working over 11 hours a day, since Iโ€™m also managing my main game project that I want to release on Steam. I know I could have done much better on this, but still, I appreciate your advice and the fact that you played my game!
