SNES and hacking are a strong part of my identity: along with university i played and even more dealt with hacking of SNES games, namely Super Mario World and Final Fantasy 6
Well, about SMW it was more like playing a lot, i did cool stuff with Lunar Magic, but never managed to do some actual asm/Hex with it
The connection with FF6 was much stronger and i was part of the FF6 Hacking community, we shared a lot of great moments! Aside playing memorable hacks i also worked on a couple of them. First of all The Ultimate Czar Dragon, a boss hack of a terrifying bossfight who never has been defeated so far (PS. it's my avatar)
I was also working on a dark hack of it (FF6: Curse of The Gods), it revolved around a very peculiar core gimmick... unfortunately it stayed WIP forever and will never go further...
That's true also because a part of it now is living withing the game i'm currently working at.
So yeah, SNES is a perfect place in which spending a part of your life!
In my case hacking wasn't my road, i had to go towards game developement (damn, back to those times i thought overhauling an existing game with a hack was a hell of a work(it is), but starting from scratch in doing something serious is just overkill)

this is the "enter city" icon, and clicking it will open the city UI;
those instead are dark stains, they appear and enlarge when you pass through a tile in worldmap, if you pass through the same tile more that x times, after y time has passed... something will happen;
