Question about deindexing and potential deindex-lock

Hi! Few days ago i realized the implications of being indexed, since i din't knew the meaning of it... i noticed the publisher which supported my games and others' (the name is PowerUp Team https://itch.io/profile/powerupteam) has all their games deindexed. An user linked me the explaination about deindexing and conditions, i checked them out and technically speaking i didn't notice any of them in particular which might be the reason, they all were indexed at a certain early point of their release, but after some time they became unindexed... 80+ days have passed since them. So i wonder what's happening here

The only exception is my latest game (The Rogue of Nexus), which i keep updating... lately, after planning what to do next, i even decided to iterate updates more often than before. And here's my second question: i heard one of the conditions to be deindexed is after updating and that it takes about 40 days to get it reindexed, say i start to iterate updates after 2 weeks each time, does that mean my game is bound to stay deindexed? Does that condition stop apply at a certain point?

...No. It depends. The unofficial FAQ explains why it can take a long time and what you can do in the mean time. But AudioRace for example looks like it should have been indexed by now. I'll speed things up for you.

Understood, thanks!

Ok, so today i tried to type "The Rogue of Nexus" in the search for games, jams, tags or creators  search bar and i found my game there, as first result.

Does that mean that it's finally indexed?

Yes, it is.

Great, thanks!

...And here we are, deindexed again.

We updated The Rogue of Nexus 4 days ago and appeareantly that's the trigger?

I even planned to update tomorrow the page with a finally working web version of the game (took ages to make it work), but i was counting on the fact that 11 days ago the game was finally reindexed... this is not cool.

Yes, as explained in the FAQ, some updates to a game page can cause it to be placed back in the review queue.

It doesn't mean another 80+ days as unindexed, right?

I have no way of knowing, but putting a password on your game isn't going to help matters. Edit: neither is deleting and recreating the page.

If you're checking the game on my profile, that doesn't count (it's a test page i used to check if the WebGL version was working: if i had to keep asking them to upload, check, upload check until it worked, it would have taken the eternity... obviously my test page on my profile will never become public).

i'm talking about the actual page of PowerUp Team (my publisher)

https://powerupteam.itch.io/the-rogue-of-nexus (it's under change as we speak right now, since we're trying to setup the web version)

My bad. Still, please follow the guidelines in the FAQ as that's your best best.
