Thanks for the feedback! I totally get what you mean — the gameplay loop can be a bit tricky to grasp at first, especially in Phase 1. There isn’t much clear direction on what to do yet, since I left that up to the player (and the death screens) for the jam release since i couldn't make a Tutorial before the Jam deadline ends
That said, I knew I needed something to make players do more than just “pull the crank.” That’s why Phase 1 has the Pumkipider, Phase 2 brings in the Ghost and Dareware, and of course, Clockey makes an appearance too.
A proper tutorial is definitely on my list for the next version. Thanks again :)
Hey everyone — I hope you enjoy my newest project, Open Gizmy Zimy. It’s a bit different from what I usually make. And yep, to clear up any confusion — I’m still 4Dpixel Games, just rebranded.
This version was submitted for the Toxic Terror Game Jam, so I didn’t get to include everything I had planned before the deadline. Still, I hope you have fun with what’s here — it’s pretty challenging :)
I’m planning a full post-jam release where I can bring all my original ideas to life. Until then, thanks for playing and for all your support!

After a long day, Emily trudges through the pouring rain on the night of March 10th, 2000. Arriving home late from school and volunteer hours, she's met with an unsettling emptiness. Her family is nowhere to be found, having left abruptly for an important event. Alone in the house, a familiar warmth seems strangely absent. Emily is left to deal with whatever entities are trying to hunt her down...

A tiny mouse, a huge house, and terrifying dangers in every corner.

You play as Millie, a small mouse on a mission to find food for her kids in a house that's far too big—and far too dangerous. As Millie ventures through the enormous rooms, she’ll face towering obstacles and enemies that dwarf her in size. Can she outsmart these dangers and make it back to her family, or will the horrors of the house overwhelm her?

Hey, thanks for the sweet feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the game. It's definitely not perfect, but that's to be expected for a first game. I'm definitely looking to improve in the future.
Yes, there are other endings, but they're not quite as obvious as the main two. Also, the hiding mechanic was something I was considering, but I couldn't find a way to implement it effectively. However, it does still have a secret use in the game.. a secret one
It's a little bit complicated, Smiley Dusty's development journey was a winding road. It began in July 2023 as a Roblox Doors-inspired project in Unity. Initially, I envisioned a complex game with 50 interconnected rooms, each featuring unique challenges and enemies. However, All I did is creating the basics player movements and animations,I soon realized the scope was too ambitious for a beginner like me. After a break, I attempted to reshape it into an anomaly game similar to Exit 8 . While progress was made on the house layout, I again encountered roadblocks due to complexity. Finally, inspired by story-driven games like Fears to Fathom, I pivoted in March 8th "I guess" to focus on a more manageable concept: a narrative-based experience with simpler gameplay. This streamlined approach allowed for smoother development, taking roughly 2-3 months to complete.
Well I played the game and it was fun. it had a lot of energy and personality. The characters' sprites and actions were very beautiful. But there are some criticisms. for just demo, I cannot be too harsh, but these criticisms are here anyway. I wished I could look up and down as well, even if it was limited. Because the parkour stage is very unfair without the ability to look at the object you will land on. I wished there were simple animations for the chair when walking. There is already an animation at the double jump. And also in the office. Since you are using Unity for the game. Try using an add-on, such as ProBuilder. Which will give you a better appearance for the office from the outside, as the external walls will completely disappear instead of becoming transparent. This is my opinion of course. Also, the thumbnail and game page did the game an injustice in my opinion. Try to focus on these things, as they are what attract the player in the first place. Good luck!S
