Thanks :D

Hey, sorry about that. I deleted a comment I made earlier about a situation I overreacted then I realized it wasn’t that big of a deal. Your reply was attached to it, and I didn’t notice, so it got deleted along with my comment, that's all :). thanks for playing!

Hey! Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words about the lore and character designs!

About your question... Call me living under a rock, but I really had very little knowledge about the furry community or that humanoid animals were so heavily associated with it. This is just a style I grew up with and find fun to use! Games like Five Nights at Freddy's, Animal Crossing, or even Sonic. They all use humanoid animals, and in the case of FNaF, it's a horror game that uses this style without really being called 'furry'.

I just had a cool story idea, needed to choose species that fit the mascot horror vibe for their monster forms... and poof, the Feralpals were born, completely outside the knowledge of the furry fandom.

So why am I clarifying it's not a furry game? Mostly so people don't assume I am a furry myself. See, my name is Polypaw and my persona resembles a cat. I picked that name a long time ago out of love for my real-life cat, and 'Poly' stands for Polygons! Again, completely unaware of the furry thing. Now I'm established with this name, so I'm sticking with it (and I do still love it!).

But when people see an animal game + the name Polypaw, they jump to 'the creator is a furry.' I just didn't want people to assume I only make furry content or belong to a community that I'm not actually part of. When you aren't in a specific group, you just prefer people don't assume you are!

At first, I kinda panicked and started saying 'not a furry game' everywhere because it was my first time dealing with internet labeling like this. Now I realize I was overthinking it and it's really not that big of a deal, Just explaining it once here is enough for me.

That being said... thanks for playing the game! No offense to your community at all, and I really hope you continue to enjoy the game and the lore for what it is! :D

You’re probably using the “Potato” graphics preset, which maxes out the engine optimization (it’s even labeled “may bug”). Try switching it to Balanced or turning it off.

Otherwise, your device might just be struggling to run it, especially in the forest areas, which can get a bit laggy on older devices

About Indigo, I think that the dev said it's not of it wasn't intentional, am I wrong ?

for real :')

yes

Thanks :D

Not exactly—my first three games were made before

That said, Feralpals does reuse some parts of the player controller code of this game :D

thx!

(meme by Mr.Roe Deer :D )

Alrighty, sure I will :D

I hope so ,if I got the funding for that 100$ steam fee

Thanks a lot for the detailed review, taking notes !

In an unknown year, humans mysteriously went extinct after a disease caused by the Friendly Pals. Originally animal creatures genetically modified and given human-like intelligence for mankind's own purposes, the Pals simply picked up where humans left off—building lives, families, and a future of their own.

You play as Dan the Dog, a little guy who gets a phone call from his best friend, Basil the Bat, inviting you to an old forest campsite to reunite with childhood friends. But this forest hides a dark past of what is buried inside, and is humanity truly extinct?

Thanks for the feedback, it's on the v0.3 list !

Haha! , watched your playthrough and let me see it was so fun , it's so funny that you never acknowledge that the Stairs are an actual path you can go to (this is where the ghost came from ) , yeah a lot miss it to , I should acknowledge it in the next update, thanks for playing :)

Probably not .. but who knows ?

I'm already working on it ! .. this is the game jam edition.. and it was really rushed in the end, it was too ambitious for a game jam and literally got submitted 18minutes before the dead line  .. And I am taking your feedback for guaranteed.., the mechanics will be a lot clearer .. fixed and easy to catch up on , especially Pumkipider.. thanks a lot

Uhhh .. there are 👽??

I really wish I could, but finances are a bit tight right now. I do hope to bring it to Steam in the future, though! Thanks for the support :)

Thanks a lot !

Thanks for the feedback! I totally get what you mean — the gameplay loop can be a bit tricky to grasp at first, especially in Phase 1. There isn’t much clear direction on what to do yet, since I left that up to the player (and the death screens) for the jam release since i couldn't make a Tutorial before the Jam deadline ends

That said, I knew I needed something to make players do more than just “pull the crank.” That’s why Phase 1 has the Pumkipider, Phase 2 brings in the Ghost and Dareware, and of course, Clockey makes an appearance too.

A proper tutorial is definitely on my list for the next version. Thanks again :)

Thanks :)

Hey everyone — I hope you enjoy my newest project, Open Gizmy Zimy. It’s a bit different from what I usually make. And yep, to clear up any confusion — I’m still 4Dpixel Games, just rebranded.

This version was submitted for the Toxic Terror Game Jam, so I didn’t get to include everything I had planned before the deadline. Still, I hope you have fun with what’s here — it’s pretty challenging :)

I’m planning a full post-jam release where I can bring all my original ideas to life. Until then, thanks for playing and for all your support!
