I use a 1 on 1d6 for each. If you want to tweak it so there are more encounters or features just use a 1-2 on 1d6 to tip it towards what you'd prefer.
I used 1 on my personal game. I looked through the zine I realized I didn't put that in. I'll edit the pages tomorrow and add that in.
Thanks for letting me know!
From the game:
Cavalry ride out chasing ghosts. Burn what they find. Don’t care who they’re shooting. They ain’t chasing peace. They ride for blood. Too many ambushes. Too many graves. They’re tired. They’re done believing in the flag.
They ride for brothers buried in dry gullies, for orders written far away, for a war that keeps on going.
Apache raid back. Hit hard. Kill fast. Leave bodies in the ashes and vanish into the rocks. They don’t spare women or children. They’ve seen too much. Lost too much. Got nothing left.
They fight for the dead, for the stolen, for what was promised and never given.
No heroes. Just killers and corpses.
Original blockprint of a US Cavalry Officer from 1870 for the game art.

Thank you! Glad you're enjoying it.
I used the terrain table for my first few sessions of Into the Odd, and it essentially forced my characters to stand their ground in a forest when they wanted to run. That's a tough break in that game. Combat is super deadly. I'll be posting the write up today or tomorrow on my Substack.
I do some pen and ink/pencil work, but my true love is printmaking. I have a Substack at https://substack.com/@whiskeybloodanddust?utm_source=user-menu where I post and share art, ttrpg articles, and other things I find interesting.
Hello, everyone. I've gotten lots of downloads since I made this game available. I can answer some questions/comments here about it or on my Substack (https://substack.com/@whiskeybloodanddust?utm_source=user-menu)
Please let me know if you write or post reviews or game-play write-ups anywhere. I'd love to read and share them. What you write can help influence where I go next with this and similar projects.
Also, if you'd take a moment to give a review, it will help others decide if this is right for them.
Hey everyone, I'm Brian, a long-time tabletop gamer who has recently gotten into writing games. Love lots of especially wild west, weird west, historical period, grimdark fantasy, horror, and dystopian stuff. Recently published a wild west one-shot called The Reckoning here on itch. I'm also a print maker and do a lot of block print art.
I don't have any social media except Substack, but I do publish lots of free articles, actual play write-ups, oracles, and game design ideas on there. Check it out if you're interested! Thanks!
