Well done! Thanks for letting it be playable with a joypad controller. Needs some SFX. Also, the coyote time jumping is a little too friendly. Feel like I hang off the cliff by a good full second and then jumping. You can tighten that if you want but the platform distances will be affected. Dig the music, though. Thanks!
Cool graphics, I like the design of the hero and the enemies.
Very good game. I do feel that it could benefit from an alternate attack button on the keyboard. Personally I think left-click to attack a little awkward.
Having done all the assets by yourselves is a major point in your favor. The game feels nice to play and I like how exploration rewards you with more health and attack power. The only thing missing is the possibility to attack in the air, but apart from that, I just wished for a bigger challenge on the last boss. Hope you keep on evolving your ideas, you have a good grasp on game design.
Very nice look and feel with this game and I love the music! Well done!
Slick controls, nice aesthetics!
Being able to attack while jumping would have been helpful against the flying enemies.
I liked how collecting the fairies increased the player's maximum health.
For some reason the screen would sometimes get a blue tinge, often when I tried attacking/left clicking.[Edit] - The blue tinge was actually Firefox selecting the game window, so nothing to do with your game.
Fun entry!
Nice & focused experience. Nice to see variation in enemies and attacks. Music & FX add nicely to the experience. I don't play many platformers or Metroidvanias, so I found it a bit disorienting in terms of where to go next.
Good job on a well-put-together entry!
nice game ! I like the style
I struggled with crouch and dodge/attack, eventually i got used to it and it was really fun platformer!
Cool platformer! I really like the way you play with light in the game. It’s missing a few sounds here and there, but overall it’s a solid piece of work!
Nice 2D platformer! I would say that the music was a bit loud, and a few more SFX would've helped give feedback to the player. Other than that, the controls were very smooth, and it was enjoyable to play. Keep up the good work!
Like in real life mosquitoes are the worse ! But it's a refreshing take on the theme, quite interesting. I'm not sure but I think the attack sound had a bit of a delay compare to the animation. Good job !
Nice done! The game works well, there are a few bugs, but nothing unbearable. I think that you would benefit from air attacks, since there are flying enemies, and the final boss flies... but overall it's a solid entry!
Really digging the responsiveness of the controls. Feels very good to play! Also, it feels very good to crouch-dance along to that sick rhythm in the background. Great work!
A neat little platformer. Just one nitpick, when the player crouches to avoid the shooting enemy, the bullets actually touch the sprite's head, which looks confusing at first.
This game is amazing!
a little help with the navigation would be good, but anyways combat feels goo the art is great, this i a great game.
Good job you guys!
Straight up made a metroidvania-lite for a game jam hahaha. So incredibly awesome! Very nice work!!
Nice simple game, would've liked some kind of navigation Aid, as I felt like I was looping around to the same places quite frequently, a Volume Toggle/Slider would've been nice too, the style of music chosen was a bit overpowering, especially for the pace/style of game.
Overall, the game has a great feel! The movement is smooth--I was dodging enemy attacks as I intended to after only a few seconds of messing around. I like the variety of enemies which need to be dodged or attacked in slightly different ways, and I like how jump height depends on how long you hold down the jump button. Also having a victory screen was satisfying :) The lighting effect in some areas was also cool, the music was nice, and the animations flowed so smoothly together that I was just enjoying the experience instead of thinking about them.
A couple critiques--if I stood too close to an edge, i slid off which was a little annoying but not hard to avoid. Also I wish I could have looked down before jumping off any platforms, to see if there are any enemies waiting for me.
Great work!
