The movement is a little uncomfortable for me. I would have wanted to look/aim with the mouse. Additionally, when I stood on the platform it went without me. It looks nice though

Like others said, the controls the some time to get right, but excellent job on building a big level of stuff.

Also, I found the colour scheme a bit dark, but maybe that's the feel you wanted.

The story is interesting, and it's fun to play. It's a bit hard to get the jumps right, but when you do, you feel good. I only have one "minor " issue: the sound effects for jumping and coin collecting are slightly delayed. Otherwise, for one person it's very well done

Cool idea, looks great, I was drawn into it

Good job on this!

Very good game , love it.

I really like aesthetics of the game and it reminds me of some old-school games. I do think that the jumping was a bit unforgiving though since you could only jump in a straight line but besides from that I really enjoyed it, great work!!

Great game. I would have preferred rotating the character using the mouse rather than the keyboard as I had trouble lining up jumps sometimes. It was an ejoyable game, good job.

The game has the same feel as old 3D platformers, which gives it a certain charm. I’m just not sure why it says 'Game Over' after picking up the potion at the end. Overall, it’s a very cute game and a solid submission.

Thank you for playing!  The "Game Over" screen was a holdover from when I wanted to add enemies and a health system, but I ran out of time towards the end there.

Very nice job. It was very interesting to explore the map. Keep up the good work :)

Thank you!

I wanted to love this so much. I loved the aesthetics, the theme, the story, etc. I was so excited to explore the tavern, but the controls killed me. Just a basic mouse look control would have brought this to the top of my list so far. I hope you add that and release an update so I can play this gem without throwing my keyboard. : (

I agree with the controls. really hard and not as fun as typical mouse control. Otherwise, loved the art! Go ahead and check out my game submission for the Jam. It's minigolf on planets, let me know what you think!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. I was going for old school "tank controls," which was a mistake, which I'll attempt to rectify after the voting period rating is done.

This is such a fun concept! I loved the overall vibe of this game, and I am truly surprised that you were able to complete it all with one person!

Fun: most of the "fun" was with the theme. I didn't find myself particularly engaged in the game play itself, but maybe I just needed to give it more time :)

Theme/Aesthetics: this theme was top notch. Well done! No notes.

Music: this was a good pick to fit the vibes you were going for, albeit the music itself felt like stock music — but it was! I'd love to see what a composer would do with this game. I personally would have gone with a lot of the instruments that you did, but upped the reverb to make the world feel larger when at a tiny scale and use metallic sounds for bits of "magic" in the air.

Mechanics: worked stably for me! I would have preferred that the camera view didn't zoom in so much when I moved forward so much. Overall the gameplay was smooth and I didn't find myself frustrated with any glitches.

Story: again, really cool concept! I would've liked to see more overarching narrative, but for a one-person team this is way better than I would expect with narrative design.

Overall, great job!! I'd love to work with you on a future jam.

Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I would love to get in touch to work together in the future, or at least have a friend in Game Design.

Well done, great game. Do fix the collisions if your able.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Could you please elaborate where the collisions need fixing?

Submitted(+1)

At the start of the game, you can take a ramp up to a platform. If you jump to close to the wall. I started to jitter and slowly glide up the ramp.  So extending the collision box there for example would prevent this issue

Everything was fantastic!

Developer

Thank you very much!

very good game only have to tell that the collisions are bad but for the rest is very good, ggod job

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. Could you tell me which collisions were bad?
