Had fun playing this! I'd love a minimap to help me navigate. The areas felt really big! Also, I'd love a sound effect on the attack, but that is like super minor! Overall really nice game with lots of potential!

Interesting use of the theme. I think it be better if the areas were a little smaller or if there was a mini map since it is kind of hard to navigate when the are so large. But overall I had a fun time!

Love the vibe of the game ! The music is amazing .

Very impressive game! Well done!

Very good game! Very ambitious for one person. The music was a bit loud, and there were a lot of wide open spaces, but it was a nice short experience. Keep up the good work!

The music was a nice vibe choice! I think the levels were too large, it was very easy to just get lost and have little direction on where to go

Very cute environment, beautiful music and nice stylized settings. The story is interesting and makes you want to explore the world. Unfortunately, the levels are a bit too large and I got lost after exiting the castle scene, and couldn't find an exit or an objective. Overall fun and promising game with nice RPG mechanics, though some polish would help   drive the player (for ex:     minimap, objective text in the screen corner or arrow showing the next objective).

wow.  I love this.  Everything about it.  I love old rpg styles.  THE SCROLLING TEXT!!!! i've tried to do that so many times!!!  it looks so good!  I have no complaints.

the only suggestion I have - and this is minor - would be to maybe adjust the collision boxes on the decor?  so i can walk behind the trees and pillars and things.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! The collision was a pain point for me as the depth sorting wasn't working right, and you kept walking on top of the pillars, trees, and everything else. I do agree, that the collision boxes were otherwise too large and made it hard to navigate in places.

What did you make this game in?

Developer

It was made with Game Maker Studio 2.

Made it all the way to the credits. Had some trouble with fighting as pressing Shift to fight triggers the sticky key in windows and make me exit out of the window and get attacked by monsters. Haven't had the chance to use potions, not sure how to get those. Also got stuck in NPC dialogue loop by pressing Space too much haha.

Developer

I completely forgot about sticky keys on Windows as it made it on a mac. Although told you'd get the potions, they didn't make the final cut due to running out of time to get an inventory system in - I was heavily stuck on level design as that's my weakest area lol. As for the NPC dialogue loop - I guess I didn't test that well enough.

Thank you for the feedback. Its always nice to see where I can improve

Level design is very difficult! I made my whole game in one room but it is easier with puzzles rather than adventures. I though I was missing the potions!
