Hilarious that this game has that much lore lol - simple but fun game, maybe the diving can be a bit overpowered/bugged. Fun game and had a great time! :D

I liked the introductory cutscene—it set a nice tone for the game. As for the gameplay itself, I wasn’t entirely sure how experience was gained or what leveling up actually changed. I felt that a progression system (like improving player stats) was missing, which could’ve added more depth. The music also became a bit tiring over time—consider adding more variety or alternative tracks. Congratulations on completing the project!

Thanks chimerian, much appreciated, esp. coming from an author who made such a complete and polished game! (Anthills)

Reminds me of this game I used to play in high school. Going up in levels updated the shooter.

Developer

Thanks aayostan, definitely an interesting idea for more depth (the RPG / Skills leveling)

I'm using a Mac and trackpad. So the firing mechanics doesn't work well with me. The F1 key also didn't map to a Mac's. Nice war of the ducky concept though.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, Andesitch. We didn't test it on Mac but it's good to note, we'll do better   for our next Game Jam participations.

Do you recommend approaching the input for the mac trackpad a certain way  (in Unity)?

Submitted(+1)

I used to use arrow keys in Unity and the keyboard WASD keys. They work on Mac and PCs. Spacebars and Enter keys work too.

Ah, yes, I see you are people of culture as well, I too, never hop into my bathtub without my rubber ducky nor my army of croissants! Haha really fun and straightforward concept!

Submitted(+1)

Rubber ducky and a bunch of croissants in a bathtub is quite unique and fun.  Good job!

Hahaha this is a really funny game, and quite straightforward ! Good job

Fun game with an expected combination of bullet hell with cute ducks defending against pastries lol. The mechanics are surprisingly polished, nice visuals, music and sound effects. Does the story in the description have an ending?

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much ! We all really appreciate it. For now, the story is open to interpretation. However, we're planing to add a big pastry boss, and this ''conflict'' could take place in other locations, like a sink with new enemies, or even in a swimming pool. Wherever the courageous duck can float !

The game was really fun and I like the idea a lot! I wasn't a fan of the aiming mechanic. Rotating in that way would feel better using the arrow keys

The mouse lock on the window would have stopped the pesky mouse from leaving the game screen so often. Otherwise quite fun submission!

Hey! Great idea! rubber ducks vs. pastries, haha. It’s really fun! I loved the audio and music, but I feel like it needs a volume bar. Sometimes it gets a bit too loud. Really fun!

Developer

Thanks papermanz0r. Good idea for the volume bar, we'll add it in our next game jam project

I enjoy the premise of the game, and it's fun to play.  I had some issues with aiming and going outside of the game window, causing the game to pause while mid-fight with the evil pastry menace! Overall, very fun to play with a story to match

Developer

Thanks, your feedback is much appreciated!

The controls definitely gave us much trouble, we'll try to do better next time :)
Playing in full screen should definitely help alleviate this issue.

Great job on the game. I like the crazy story. The game was fun to play and the bullet hell had a great feel. The only issue I had as was the aiming system. Because you don't see you mouse, it was hard to get your aim correct. Overall, a very enjoyable game. Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thanks waijee, for sure the aiming needs a bit more work. There is a red aim icon on the screen, to help you with the controls, but it might not be visible enough, esp. during big fights with plenty of bullets flying around. Good feedback!

Excellent game! I loved the concept and setting. I liked your art style and really loved your music and sfx. I really enjoyed playing, but sadly I must move on to other submissions :(

Developer

Thanks a lot Brianna, this feedback is lovely and we had fun creating this experience with a twist on the setting and visuals.

What a nice Game. Very clean execution! Soggy pastries its is probably the worst villain imaginable (Very evil!!!!). I had a small bug where when i got shot the screen turned red and didn't go back to normal. But very nice game! Your team is great

Developer

Thanks a lot Fudge, this is much  appreciated. We felt the setting was original and funny :D
Happy to see you had fun. And sorry for the red screen bug (it's a strange one, we didn't spot it during our playsessions.. our bad! We'll do better next time :)
