really enjoyed the sci-fi vibe and the fast paced ring challenege and the visuals and music set the mood nicely, really wanna see how you will expand this, Great job!
Thanks for playing and your wonderful feedback! Will keep you posted on the expanded version when it's ready.
I really liked the game! enjoyed it, great job!
Nice work. The ring challenge was a solid start. tight timing made it fun to retry. Visuals had a great sci-fi vibe and the music fit well. Shame the key didn't lead to more but I get the time crunch and limiting scope. Well done getting done what you did.
Thanks! Yeah I'll expand and add some stuff to it after the jam to respect the rules, had to focus on the minimal working loop to meet the deadline.
Nice looking level, there’s some gameplay & sounds. Lore is interesting in the game description. Good attempt.
Thanks!
Congrats on submitting your game! The first challenge to collect 100 rings in 20 seconds was really fun. I had to start over a few times before I finally got it. Like others who commented, I hit a wall after that. It sounds like you had plans for what the player would do after collecting the first key. At the base of the large tank-looking thing there are cylinders that kind of look like terminals around it. Perhaps the player could deliver a key to each of these to progress.
Thanks for playing and your kind feedback! Yeah I had to cut what happened after completing the rings due to time constraints but I'm working on a post-jam version that should hopefully be more satisfying. I like your idea of using the cylinders, had planned something else but may be using that one in the final version.
Awesome! I look forward to seeing the update!
Hey cool little game. Was there something to do with the first key after you get it? I wasn't able to play past that point.
The SFX on the pickup might be a bit loud compared to the music, but otherwise I enjoyed it. It was surprisingly challenging to get the rings in time.
Congrats on submitting something for the jam using Unreal as a one person team, that in itself is impressive. I saw you earlier comment about wanting to implement more into this game, and while I think that is a violation of the game jam rules, I would be interested in coming back to this as a post-jam release. You've got a good foundation here, and I am curious to know what you had intended for the rest of the game (Assuming I didn't miss something and there was content I didn't reach).
Feel free to check out our project, it would be much appreciated but no pressure. :)
Thank you so much! The key was the last thing I could implement before the deadline, there was a lot more I wanted to implement but making this mostly in a day I had to focus on whatever completed gameplay I could ship. Thanks for your feedback, I'm going to work on this game more and will take these into account for future revisions post-jam. I checked out your game and it's amazing, really loved it! I posted my feedback to the game rating page so it's easier to collate with the rest you and your team received.
Hi! I played the game but couldn't collect all the rings even after 3-4 tries! I must be a terrible runner! The game looks great though - really loving the sci-fi UE5 vibe. The music reminds me of some TV game show! Where's this melody from?
Thanks for playing! I was wondering if it was too hard but as you see I finished up what was possible until the deadline, would advise trying to focus on the central areas and immediately go to the rings when the collection triggers. Appreciate the feedback regarding the visuals, tried making something with that feel and happy to see it came through. The music is actually bundled with the UE5 starter content, I was surprised with how well it fit so simply went with that. It's called Starter_Music01.
The game looks promising,
even tho I think there is a bug. After I collect all of the orbs, I get the key, but there is no new objective given.
Keep in mind, I played the post-bug-fix version.
The game looks promising, and the aesthetic is great. This kind of stuff happens all the time!
I think it's unfair to rate the game at this stage if you fix the bug, tell me, and I will be happy to play again and rank accordingly. If you are fed up with the game, tell me, and I will rate it as is, excluding the bug in the rating!
Anyway, good job!
Hey, thanks for playing and your very kind feedback! I had a lot more planned for the game but as you can see the deadline came up before I could implement it and the rules don't allow feature changes (made the game in about a day). I'm worried that the implementation of all the additional systems that had to be cut would run afoul of the rules but I am interested in properly finishing up the game, maybe outside the jam. I fixed a bug where the retry wasn't working correctly (it was very rushed). Whichever rating you think it deserves, please go ahead, honesty is the only policy and I am happy someone gave it a shot :)
Nice job man It's great for one day!
The rules say you can add a new version, you just need to also keep the original one, so if you ever decide to continue it, hit me up, I will gladly give it a try!
Thank you so much, will do!
