Wow. I really love this game. Nice aesthetic and atmosphere, good story too.
A tiny dot at the center will make it easier to interact. Some puzzles and some interactable objects that may reveal more in depth of the story would be nice too.
But really, for a game jam game, this is really good. I enjoyed playing it. Good game!
Thank you for playing our game! Happy you liked it!
It felt very mysterious! I enjoyed searching for the fragments. Nice music and level design!
Thank you!!
Thank you for the game! This game has a melancholy feel, that was really well done. There were a few pieces that were hard to get, particularly the one in the corner behind the curved cabinet.
Someone said something about words. Oh, there are words the second time playing it. The first time I heard a tapping keyboard, but didn't see the words.
Thank you so much for feedback! Huh, that's a very interesting bug with missing subtitles. Can you please tell me about your computer specs, operating system and browser? For now I don't have a clue how this bug is even possible to be honest. Maybe you also experienced some other strange behaviour, was fps okay? Pieces which are hard to get is my fault, I just didn't have enough time to fix it properly.
I have a Windows 10 operating system and used Firefox as a browser. With a 3.00 GHz Intel process with 16 GB ram.
There are a few games I just couldn't seem to download, maybe because my bandwidth isn't great. I suppose that could possible cause a problem. Maybe something about how the game shows in the web browser. That's my best guess. Nice job with the game.
Thank you!
Superb!!! Its got hook that keep me going altho with simple collect and place mechanic!!
Thank you!!
Fascinating title, that’s a fully finished game, well done.
Thank you!
That was a very interesting take! I really liked how you made the rooms into memories!
The story is also very well put together! This was a great experience! ✨
Thank you a lot for this amazing review and for playing our game! We are happy you enjoyed it!
Best atmosphere in the jam so far, hands down. Great execution and a good narrative. The music and the sound effects work perfectly. Thanks for sharing!
That's so nice to hear! Thank you a lot for such a high praise! Really happy you liked the game!
Solid entry. Loved the atmosphere! The music is fantastic!
Thank you for playing! Happy you liked the game!
Amazing game. Love the atmosphere and the concept. Music really suit the theme! The font and the typewritter effect + sound was really nice as well! 10/10
Thank you! We're also huge fans of the music! In fact, it was one of the first things we created when we started developing the game! :)
Really beautiful and atmospheric. Feels like a complete game with a story already. I liked the feel of the text, the wiggly letters.
The hand drawn portraits with oil texture and depth in the 3D game are superb.
Mood and music and sounds worked together really well.
Perfect, 10/10
Thank you so much! We're truly honored by your high praise for our game!
really really cool game. Really atmospheric. I'll be honest lol. I wasn't able to keep up with all the text because I'm dyslexic so the text was a going a little too fast for me. But I gather it's about a mother that forgot her own child? I might have to go through it again. The stand out thing for me though. WAS THAT MENU! Holy guacamole that was so cool! Really impressed with that. I think an added reason for not being able to keep up with the text was because I was searching for the fragments while the text was going on so I lost some bits to that too. But very cool game. Very atmospheric. Spooky :D
So glad it was able to impress you! Sorry about the texts - but I'll be honest too - they were even worse in the first drafts! :D Right before submission, we tried to make them more accessible, longer, and more readable, but there's still a lot that could be improved. You got the plot exactly right! Thank you for your review! We're really happy about your excitement for the menu!
I really enjoyed the atmosphere, story and vibe you created for your game. I liked going back to the room with the keys changing spot, although I was a little unsure if I fully completed it because there was no 5th key but I got to the fragment text?
Also, I wouldve liked a little more involvement for the puzzles/paintings themselves as it was the bigger primary recurring puzzle mechanic (and I like puzzles). Overall it was an awesome experience though, great job ^.^
We are so happy you liked our game! About puzzles - yeah, we initially wanted more, but with all the cuts and time being limited just didn't make it. And yeah - you've got all the keys! It's just four of them - and four different kinds of doors and corridors, all referring to different time periods. Thank you a lot for playing and your wonderful review!
Its always the way with game jams, things get cut due to time haha! Glad I completed it fully and didn't leave too early ^.^
What a game, I enjoy playing it, from sound to game mechanics, and the puzzle, and all that in a short time.
Thank you so much!
What an amazing game! I really loved how it looked and how the story was presented.
Thank you!!
Thanks for submitting this, it's hauntingly beautiful. I loved it!
Thank you!
This was a nice experience and well thought out. I enjoyed playing.
However, I would have liked there to be more puzzles in finding the fragments of each painting. Perhaps each part of the puzzle adding to the overall story. But I know it's hard to get everything in when it's for a jam.
Thank you! Yeah, we were planning to add more puzzles but had to cut it down
Great game, enjoyed the style and it's a well thought out topic and story
Thank you for playing! Glad you liked the game!
I'm only on the menu and already impressed
That's sure is nice! The rest was also impressive? :)
Loved the game, amazing artsy (in a good way) story, very good ui work wjich is rare for jams and amazing 3d! Absolutely adore the submission
Thank you for your review! We actually did tried to make an artsy ( in a good way) game, so that's very cool to receive this comment! Happy that you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the game!
I can't help but wonder why you, or rather the player, has forgotten their daughter.
The name fragments and the way the story flows makes me think of dementia?
Where, as a dementia sufferer's condition deteriorates, they can only recall pieces of their memories, and not always in order. Not all the time, but as the condition gets worse, this effect becomes more frequent and more pronounced.
If this is the case, the story has been well thought out and structured to reflect these aspects of dementia. On a good day, a dementia sufferer feels imprisoned, on a bad day, they act like they are. Like the walls are closing in and there's no way out.
You've perfectly captured our thoughts and vision for the game. That's exactly what our story is about! We wanted to show how small and fragmented the world can seem to someone with this diagnosis, while still adding some hopeful notes.
My day job is retail, and most of our customers are older individuals, so even though it might not be everyday, we need to understand these things to be able to help when needed, not by training, just experience.
It's a good game, a bit short, but enough for people to see the story you wanted to tell.
