Played through it. really funny because I had a similar-ish idea for a game like this. Very similar visual design but more dungeon explorer-y. Anyways your game.

I think it has pretty good bones. But some things I think could be fleshed out more. The combat I feel is the weakest point. I don't like the way that it's RNG who's turn it is. It felt tiresome to watch the dice roll just to decide who attacks and feels worse when it doesn't land on you. I would prefer a turn-based approach. I think that can introduce speed as a concept to turns also so you could get 2 turns in a row by upgrading your speed stat.

Also I think the player is a bit bland. But of course, it's a  prototype but that is something that I would want is a stats mechanic that allows me to augment the player in some way. I think right now it's basically all RNG and doesn't really feel like I'm playing more like I'm watching. I would like some decisions so I can be a more active participant. I think stats would be a good way to go about it.

Obviously money is a big thing, I don't know if I didn't understand how to spend it but it felt kind of pointless at the moment. I'm thinking that it's there just to show the concept that money is a concept and that can be something to implement. I definitely think a shop would be cool as another way to augment the player. Buying armor or weapons and health potions of course.

Overall, I think cool concept, but definitely the combat needs a lot more work to make it not just RNG. Would like to see that overhauled first and see what ideas you bring to that. Solid idea though I think.

also here is the beginning concept of my idea. I just started with the dice so I haven't really gotten too far into the project. but funny that we both had his idea around the same time

I really really liked the look of the game. I see you got it somewhere but it looks really nice. I didn't really understand the story. But I think it was meant to be a little abstract so maybe that was intended. I will also say I think I got a bug or something because I got to the point where it was asking me to only select treat cards and lower cards so I selected the lowest treat card and it said that I got it wrong. But I also don't know if I misunderstood and only 1 modifier applied at a time? Unsure. But I think having some sort of indicator showing what the rules are would be helpful. I was a bit confused at points

Really really well done. I'm not super great at puzzle games but I felt that this game had a good progression of difficulty and new mechanics being introduced. Really really well done game like for real. Super cool in all aspects

I thought the camera switching was a cool concept. The third level I'm unsure if I was doing something wrong. But I wasn't able to get the two candies really high in the air. Really cool concept though and that beginning intro was so so cool. Felt like I was about to dive into a movie really really cool

Thanks :)

Thanks :) Yeah would be cool to expand out the story to have more options. But 4 different variants of endings I think is good for a game jam. Unfortunate I couldn't get the animations. Glad you liked the concept :)

I really really liked the music in this game. The beginning was so like "Dang I'm about to get into something". I'm not 100% if I missed something with interacting with the monsters. I just sort of did nothing and waited for the animation to finish. So, my understanding of the game is that it is purely RNG. And using some of the items just didn't work. Maybe the items are meant for specific enemies that's why they didn't work? but unsure about that. Cool concept really liked the music. I wish the game was a little more interactable beyond just the RNG stuff. But I mean really cool. I didn't manage to get to the end though :(

Thought the game was cool. A bit repetitive but still cool. I don't know if this was a mechanic or an issue with the physics system but the bullets would go through the enemies a lot of the time. Just made the shooting inconsistent. I was also a little confused about the zombies, it felt like they weren't coming after me so I don't know if they were helping me or if the pathfinding was just messed up with them because they were always in such a tight group. But cool game :)

I think the game looks really cool! I didn't really understand the mouse thing. Like I tried using the offset mouse to navigate through the menus but my regular mouse was the one that worked so unsure if I misunderstood something. I also didn't manage to get to far into the game. I died a few times to the hands and then the guy with the knife. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to fight back or just avoid him. I tried looking for stuff but I literally couldn't find anything to interact with so, I don't know if I was just supposed to get stuff. The most unfortunate thing I think is that because I was trying to crouch at some points it interacted weirdly with my browser so there were a few times where I bookmarked the itch page or the tab just closed because of some hotkeys with control. I would like to try again if you change the crouch to "C" or something so I can actually make it through further in the game. Also retrying the game was a pain because of the instructions that always played in the beginning and the long credit sequence.

I feel like I didn't understand what the story fully was. But I think that's why I kind of enjoyed it. It felt like this haunted object was perpetually looking for the soul of someone and I got vibes of reincarnation. I thought it was really cool the questions that came up. I also am not sure why but I felt like the little hit sound effects felt really good. Like it just oddly fit really well with the game. Enjoyed the submission!

Really liked the concept! and I thought the game looked really good. In the beginning I didn't fully understand that you were supposed to switch levels and I just kept falling through the ground. But then I read through the page and got it. I did feel like the combat was the weakest part. I didn't like that you had to stop in order to hit. And I think I might have encountered a bug or something. It was later in the game where I got hit by a guy with a staff and I just wasn't able to move. I think maybe it was because I got hit in the attack state or something and then I couldn't attack again and the guy ended up just spamming me to death :( Really cool game though. Really cool aesthetics. I liked the tv static effect you added when you switched to the other channel :)

I am so terrible at these types of puzzle games. Omg, it took me so long to get passed even the first level. I think my biggest thing that I had trouble with was remembering what side of the screen is on. I kind of had to go a few steps back to remember. I know that all the sides are textured differently to make to sort of hint at where it is, but I didn't manage to completely understand. I think the feet of the tv were the biggest help but the other ones I was sort of guesstimating where the front was. Really cool really solid. Enjoyed :)

I really liked the background you put in the beginning and the atmosphere of the game was really great! Really enjoyed that part of the game :). Wasn't a big fan of the actual gameplay but everything surrounding it was really cool!

I thought the game was cool. Cool concept getting sucked into the tv. I didn't really like the movement of the game. But I understand that it was part of the challenge. A bit too slide-y but cool. Got to the end!

ty ty yeah definitely planning on adding in some music and sound after . Thanks :D

Yeah definitely feel that. Going to go back and finish those up later :) thanks

ty brother :)

tyvm! :D

Thanks! yeah should've added some more levels :( had trouble coming up with ideas

Thanks! yeah I should've made more :(

Thanks! yeah definitely should've done some more levels :(

Thanks!

Thanks! yeah definitely agree could've definitely add in more levels. Thanks for the compliments :D

ty ty :D yeah I had a hard time coming up with image ideas but glad you liked the concept :D

Played your game really enjoyed it :D. Thank you thank you I appreciate the complement on the art. made everything in figma. Glad you like the animations :D

Thank you! Wish I could've came up with more ideas and made them sillier too I agree. ty for playing :D

Thanks! yeah I was having hard time coming up with ideas but definitely have heard the feedback of adding in more levels would be nice. Wish I could've had more

Yeah the whole point of the game was to sort of just guess what the entire image is. But as you zoom out and see more of it, it's just deceiving. I tried to be forgiving and allow for multiple correct responses but didn't get a chance to playtest so some of the answers may just be unintuitive. But thank you for the feedback :D

Thank you brother yeah. I tried to make it a bit more forgiving so I actually added in a spelling check system that accepted an answer even if you misspelled it slightly but I get how that could add to the confusion. I also didn't get a chance to playtest the game so maybe some of the answers were just off. But I appreciate the feedback :D

Wasn't able to get all the way to the end. The game got me really dizzy with the scrolling background. So i wasn't able to complete it. I did get up to 100 points I believe before I get knocked out. It would be cool to make the game speed up progressively to make the difficulty scale. As far as I could tell the speed stayed the same so it made it sort of linear but again I didn't get too far just cause it made me dizzy lol. Nice job on submittting :D

I think the idea for the game is really solid. I don't know how you made the choices procedural but I think it's really cool that you did so each play through can be different. But I do think there were way too many options and way too many hints to keep track of so actually finding the correct thing felt like it was more based on luck. It took so long to accurately find the correct thing and sometimes it felt like some items did fit the description but just wasn't correct. But I think the time was stressing me out so I could've gotten something wrong. I wasn't able to win but I did git it a few goes. I got 3 correct as my max on a single run and started spamming at the end because of time :( cool concept cool game. Nice art I think making it easier would definitely make the experience better :D

I really enjoy typing games so I was really into this. I think my biggest complaint was that some of the hints were being cut off by UI elements or scene elements that I just couldn't see and I think a lot of the names were unintuitive to actually type out and I didn't get to the end because I wasn't 100% sure what I was supposed to be looing for or what my goal was exactly. So I ended up almost clearing out all 3 cameras and I still wasn't able to spot the critter so I don't know if my goal was to completely remove everything or just remove enough to reveal him. Maybe I missed something really obvious but I was flipping through each camera trying to see if just changed to a different location and was never able to spot him. Eventually just lost sad. This comment seems really negative. I want to say that I did really enjoy the game. I enjoy typing games and this hit a spot for me. Spamming hint I think was starting to get annoying but I think that was more because some of the hints were obscured more then actually typing it out. I did really enjoy clearing out the cameras it was really satisfying. And the art was really really good. The music was giving me a bit of anxiety but I think it helped to add pressure. Fun game :D wish I would've won :(

I really liked the concept of the game. I was a bit confused in the beginning on how the game actually worked. I was trying to avoid all the images and just go for the apples BUT then I ran into an image and it all made sense. Really fun idea. I really liked the humor for some of the images. The murder of crows being renamed to group of crows was really funny. It did make it a little confusing on what was safe or not safe and I ended up not exploring the options as much as I think you could incentivize people to because I was on such a high streak I didn't want to lose it. But definitely fun and creative and funny :D

I thought that the movement in the game was really snappy but like too quick in my opinion. It was difficult to do a lot of the platforming. And I think some of the level design felt messy. I unfortunately wasn't able to finish because I wasn't even sure what my goal was in the second level. I didn't know where the door was or how I was supposed to get the key. But I think the game visually was really great. I really liked the look of it a lot. I think if you worked more on the movement and made level's difficult gradually progress smoother I think it will be a killer game :D

Really really well done submission. I wasn't able to get all the way through. I think the weakest part for me was the one anamoly of the background turning a different color. I think it was way to subtle to tell or maybe I was just misunderstanding. I don't know if I was supposed to wait for the game to tell me that the background changed color. But that is the one that always tripped me up. But besides that I think the game was really really great. Really creative concept. I think if you change the background color thing to be way way more obvious I think it would be perfect. I didn't get to the end so I wasn't able to see all the anamolies but I can definitely see you expand on this concept. Really strong submission. Enjoyed it alot. Really juicy also

The voice acting in this was great lol I think that the game had a fun concept but I felt like the movement was really really punishing. I wasn't able to get to the end and I did manage to run into a bug that killed my runs on the second level where I would get pushed under the level and I wasn't able to get out. So unfortunately I didn't get all the way to the end. But really enjoyed the concept behind it :)

I really really like this game! I liked the puzzles and the story was really great! Surprised to see a game with voice acting I thought that was fun. The ending was really fun and trippy. I really enjoy these meta stories as a concept and I think this one did it really well. Really really enjoyed this submission :D

Felt really inspired by Crazy Taxi. I think that the driving was a bit unforgiving. Getting stuck on something and losing all your speed didn't feel super great. I also am unsure if I actually finished the game. I got to 4/5 deliveries and then the game ended saying I won so I think I did win but unsure. But I did get to the end :D

I thought this game had really really great art! I really liked the visual effects you had and you had so many little mechanics. Very very cool. I will say that the movement too me felt a little lacking. It just wasn't as smooth as I would've liked it to be but really really well done beyond that.

Fun play through. I think it would've been cool to add in a little more interaction with the obstacles. I enjoyed it for what it was :D
