Ohhh will check it out!! ✨✨😊

Thank you so much! 😊✨

You are surely on the right 'track', pun intended! hehe

Keep it up!

Thank you! happy you like it!

Will look that song up! 😊✨

Interesting take on the theme!

The overdrive guitar adds a nice layer of creativity! 😊✨

This is movie soundtrack you got going here! 😊😊✨
Loved how you interpreted the theme and the execution! 💪

I really enjoyed your song!
I could definitely see this in a game!
Great entry! 😊😊✨

This is very beautiful and very well excecuted!
As someone from Brazil, I appreciate it! 😊😊✨

This was a original take on the theme!
The style reminded me of 'Aphex Twin' 😊😊✨

This sounds really nice!

I don't know why, but I pictured a crab running from someone / something, haha! 🦀

Personal opinion, but I think the song would benefit a bit more with some 'key' variations, but that's just me wanting more out of this cozy song! 😉😉

Great job!😊💪✨

Love how chill this one sounds!

Great instrument choices and chord progression!

Nice melody too!

Great job!

This is really good! Love the latin rhythm!

I like Kontakt libraries but they take so much time to load that I gave up on them most of the time, haha!

Do you have a good experience with it?

Love how you used the drums and piano on this one!
Like Kakashi said, the 'spicy synth' draws attention and pops!

Now I want to grab a drink and watch people enjoying the summer sun listening to this one!!

Great job! ✨

Noice!! I like 'Amplitube' too! hehe, you got GREAT guitars!!⚡

I can picture my skin burning under the sun, listening to this, hehe!

High quality production you got! 💪💪

Love how chill this one sounds!!

Really fitting for a night beach setting! 😊😊✨

Awesome! This really sounds pretty !

That's awesome to hear!! I'm sure your friend will be pleased!

Keep it up!! 💪💪✨✨😊😊

🌠🌌

Feels like my body is hit by a cosmic sand hailstorm and as it goes through my skin, I feel the universe passing through my soul... 😊✨✨

Very innovative! Love it! Great job!

Ok, I wasn't expecting this at ALL!

Love the vibes! Gives me 'Annihilation' mood...

Would totally fit a movie soundtrack!

Great job!

While short, this is really nice! I love how it goes from chill to "OOH!!" , while keeping the same structure!

Would be cool if you added more the song!

Keep it up! 💪💪😊

Had pure bliss listening to this!
Great choice of instruments, the syncopated rhythm, all works too well! 😊✨
Great job!

Thank you! Glad you liked it! 😊✨

Thank you so much!😊✨

Indeed, some polishing , specially over the transitions is needed...

And yeah, I didn't add it to the soundcloud yet, since I wanted to gather feedback here and do some final polishing before uploading there... Soundcloud doesn't allow you to change source files without their premium, and I don't want to submit a track and then hide it.. haha

Now that you mentioned, I can't unsee that, hehe😊

This is really awesome and impressive!

You should make a music sheet out of it! 😊😊

I really like the melody and how it plays nice on piano! 😊

Did you use a digital piano for it or made it all in the DAW?

Love how it progresses from deep to bright overtime too!

Great job!💪✨

Love the melody and chord progression! 😊

Gives me JRPG vibes!

Personal opinion, not an issue or anything, but I feel the song could benefit from toning down the percussion volume just a tad, but again, personal preference...

Great work! ✨💪

(1 edit)

Love the instruments you used and the attunement to the theme! The syncopated notes give the latin vibes 😊😊

Very very personal opinion, but I feel the main lead instrument could benefit from having a bit more variation to the phrases..

Keep up the great work! 😊✨

It was a great experience! Really has lots of potential! Congrats!! 💪✨✨☺️☺️

This was a great platformer! LOVE how you interpreted the theme!

Mechanics are super cool and original and work great with the level design!! ✨✨😊
I wish I had more time to play it before the deadline, but I managed to get legs, arms and body.. hehe
will come back another time to see how this unfolds!

Great job!! ✨✨😊

Cool concept and intersting system's synergy!
As other players said, with this many mechanics, it would be nice an 'intro level' or at least some animations the first time things happen.. 😊😊
Other than that, solid work! 💪

Thank you, so much! 😊✨

Yes, that was me! Hehe!

Glad it made a lasting impression! ☺️

I pushed myself a bit harder this year, and I'm happy you like my works! Means a lot! And I do intend to keep making more! ✨☺️

Hahaha!😂 Glad tou found them funny!

I pondered about making  them "good looking", but then I would be giving the solution instead of a 'hint', haha! The idea was to show the 'plan'... But I'll include them back on the last maps, to help with the puzzle and not have them lock behind the past scene 😛

Hope you have fun with your animations!

Thank you so much for the  compliments and feedback! And happy you managed to get to the end!

That last drone part was really rushed and I didn't have time to calibrate how the puzzle felt, so I already have plans to go back and make things less vague ... 😜

The main character animation was done with Mixamo, which most of them were mocap, and then I retargeted for the model, and then run into a Pixel shader software... The drone and the droid I rigged and animated myself and ran throught the same software (Pixel Over), and exported spritesheets for them all in the directions I needed..

The engine was "Adventure Game Studio" (AGS) that is geared towards this genre... 😊
Super cool if you have a chance to play with it!

But I used Unreal Engine to edit the background assets and render the background images that I used... without it, I would have a real hard time with the art part, hahaha

Thank you so much!! I'm really happy it resonated with you! 😊✨
I surely subtracted 1 year of my lifespan in these 10 days, but it was worth the fun I had working on it, haha 😜😜

Thank you! Just played your game, and same! there is a lot of promise in your works!! ✨✨💪😊

Ok, I had time to play it before the voting ends...haha
LOVE the visuals, they are really really great!
The vibes, the style, the music, just my jam!!
Love how you interpret the theme as well! just creative and well executed!
The game is VERY polished for what you guys proposed to do and you pulled it off!
Many systems implemented with impecable UI.. chef's kiss! 😙🤌

I can see this as a full game release with only a bit of tweaks! ✨✨

I'll write down here my impressions, please don't see this as complains or anything, but more as 'how the experience was through the eyes of a newcomer', haha! You guys can use as data points or just discard anything you feel not useful:

  • I really like how the systems are integrated and work for the goal of growing the connections and also protect them. Peak design 💪
  • I know that 10 days is hard for calibrating and doing everything, but I feel that for a game that's HEAVY in active power up usage and commands, things could come in small bite sizes, to help the player get used to 'what thing does what'. Your game would benefit a lot from a 'tutorial stage', where we get to see one power up type at each time, in sequence , so we can know best what to do... or even turn some of them into passive abilities. I saved the controls guide on my right screen but even with it, it was a bit hard to know what to do/when to press something, depending on a situation... it IS a skill issue on my part, for sure, but I felt a bit overwhelmed with everything happening on the screen, haha (felt like me learning Dota 2 all over again 😜)
  • I get that consumables and power ups have their backgrounds, but they could also use colored icons inside. On a fast paced environment, after a few popups, the brain makes faster 'connections' to 'what does what' if we can quickly differentiate the symbols, so your game will definitely benefit from having them all 'different' but in the same 'design style', if you get what I mean... this or having them sit at specific positions on the UI, like... you could have slots for everything ready, like a grid, and the icons just populate their place when you get them.
  • One thing that is more of a visual opinion is that, while I love the asteroids and planets around and they give a lot of charm and immersion, I caught myself avoiding them , because I thought they were solid.. haha! The game could benefit if you add a liiiitle bit of atmosferic perspective to them, so the brain doesn't 'pop' when we are flying fast and run into them...

Other than these suggestions, this was such a fun game to play! ✨✨😊

Thank you so much for the experience and kudos for the team!

Thank you again! And thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, the text in that first room needs some calibration , specially since it's the first contact with the player... lessons learned to pay super attention to that... 💪✨

I had so many issues witht that room, that going back for calibration was out of the window, when I managed to fix the main problems, hahaha! 😅😅

I took notes here to fix the background /text there, and also add a little bit of introduction, so as the premise is not completely outside the game context...

Thank you so much for the time and feedback! Happy you liked it! 😊

And happy you managed to get to the last puzzle! That one was really rushed on the last 24h of the jam and my brain was running on fumes, so I didn't have time to calibrate things properly... 😅
I already took notes to make things less vague there and to add more visual cues / hints, so it's less obnoxious...

While running isn't something I had considered (thanks for the suggestion!), I surely need to calibrate walking speeds across the game...
These fine tuning went completely out of the window with the time constrains of the jam.. haha

That was a fun game! Love the aesthetics!

Your novel style for some reason reminded me of the Gabriel Knight games! Loved the maid animation as well and how you had inside joke pictures at the wall, haha! The mini game was also a refreshing mechanic to add! Theme was spot on! super fun experience!

Congrats to the team 💪✨😊
