The game has been updated to version 0.3.0, added additional scoring, objects, and a new world!

Developer

I made a small update to the game, to clean it up a bit and add a few objects.  I plan to make additional updates in the future.

I liked pushing my rival (Scruffy?) off the edge and hearing the "Guinea pig~" voiceover as Scruffy flew back in from the ceiling. That was awesome.

That wasn't my initial intention, but I got more than a few laughs from that.

Cool game! I enjoyed running around as a little guinea pig doing guinea pig things. I really liked the music.

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed the music.  I spent maybe an hour at the start putting that together, and was hoping to do more, but never was able to get back to it.  I'd like to finish the game up in the future, so hopefully there will be some more.

Playing as a guinea pig in a tiny world is a fun concept. The animations like wiggling and napping were charming. I struggled a bit with the interface scaling on my PC, but I understand time constraints during a jam. Looking forward to seeing how this develops further

Developer

Thank you for playing!  Guinea pigs are funny creatures and it seems like a fun game concept I'd like to continue to work on.

So cute! I loved all the information in the 'How to Play' menu and your exciting future plans. It's already such fun playing as a guinea pig - wiggling, talking, and napping are absolutely delightful!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!  It was a learning experience putting the game together, but it was fun.. I'd like to finish it and get all the activities in and get things cleaned up.

Very original concept and especially gameplay in confined space

Developer

Thank you for playing.  I hope you had a bit of fun with it.

Playing as a guinea pig seems like a fun concept. Nicely done!

Developer(+1)

I'm going to work a bit more in it to develop the concept.  Thank you for playing!

I couldn't read the interface at all on my machine. I'm on PC. Not sure if my eyesight or if the scaling is off or something? I've attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing.

Thanks for playing.  Yeah, that's about as far as I was able to get with the game before I ran short of time.  I'm just getting familiar with the engine, and I learned a lot, but wasn't able to get things as nice looking and connected as I would have liked.  I tentatively am planning on working on it more to clean it up and add more functional in the future.

Very adorable, nice work!

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.

Cute game, couldn't quite figure out the objective. But the sounds were really cute. Nice entry.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing.  It is more of a sandbox, and really needs additional items in the cage, but it was a fun idea to try out as I am learning the game engine.

Hey, any chance you can upload a youtube video of you playing the game ? there is a place in your itch page to supply the link. That way we can review it from the video and dont have to install it. It should help a lot with reviews. Congrats, the screenshot looks cute.

A video should help you get more reviews!
