Thank you everyone for playing our game Marjina and giving us a lot of insightful feedback to improve the game. The votes clearly show us what needs to be improve. :D

And congratulations too to all the other winners and participants of this game jam. I had fun playing all sorts of games you guys created.

I enjoyed playing this game.
The puzzles for me are nice, and not too tough except for a few parts here and there that require me to start over a couple times.

Super LOVE the art style. Who knows a plastic bag can be so adorable. <3

I actually waited until the song ended at the end hoping to see maybe a happy smiling angelic plastic bag. Hahaha.

Hi Andrew,

Yeah, those 2 issues will be needing more tweaking to get it feels right.

Thank you for trying our game and also for the feedback. :D

Hi,

At first glance it looks like a nice game overall.

But, as I play the game, I think the cost of the upgrades are too expensive compared to the money earned. It took me a like a few days to get enough for a grill upgrade. Then few days more for the old tv. Which I think is ok but after that the cost for another tv upgrade rise significantly to 3000+.

At the end of day 14, I have 728 golds, grill upgrade x1, old tv and the lampshade, which I'm not sure if it has any effect on the gameplay.

I think it's either we can earn more per day, or the cost of upgrade probably need to be adjusted a little. It can be more fun and less repetitive that way. At day 14 I think I see increased in the pace of the game. But I did catch on this bug or maybe a feature, I don't know.

If I had a customer seated at the table near the front wall [1] already ordered food, then I place another customer at the table near the kitchen [2], which have not ordered food yet, when I click on the table of customer 1, to serve the food, somehow if customer 2 has the same order as customer 1, then the server will serve customer 2.  So, I'll need to wait for new food from the kitchen to serve to customer 1.

Since so far, the customers are really good and did not mind waiting, I guess it is ok. Because I have this one time customer 1 have to wait for 2 rounds of order before getting the food. It might get frustrating if this happened and the customer decides to leave.

Aside from that, I think this is a solid game. Good job team!

I'm going to continue to play for a bit. :D

This is a job well done. Great game!

Hi.

I guess most of the problems are already addressed by the others. Somehow, I did manage to get to 10 citizens :D

But I do enjoy the music.

Took me quite a while to understand the gameplay, but I figure it out somehow. :D

It's a pretty interesting game. Surely with some polishing and probably a tutorial at the start of the game this game can be better.  Good job!

This is a really nice start for a game. Keep up the good work!

I've always loved a puzzle game. :D

Honestly, I have no idea what's happening, but I somehow managed to survive all 15 waves :D But thinking back I'm not so sure now. Hahaha.. Is there supposed to be like a winning scene? I ended up back to the main menu.

As PurpleXYZ said in the comment, the game did get stuck one time for me that requires me to reload the browser. I'm not sure what happened.

It would be nice if there is an introduction or tutorial at the start of the game to tell us a little bit about the game.

Anyways, good job on the game.

Looking at the comments, I guess I'm not the only one that have problem progressing far with the game. But maybe also because I'm just bad at this kind of games. Hahaha.

Aside from that it is a pretty nice game. Probably adding background music will be nice too.

Heya PurpleXYZ.
Thanks for playing our game.

For the movement, we did consider grid movement, but decided later to stick with free movement.  Although this game have the look and feel of a 2d game the physics used is 3d. The checking for collisions are done using 3dcolliders. I guess more tweaking are needed for the colliders to behave better >_<.

You know, when we try our own game for who knows how many times, that we get really good at it 😂  We really appreciate the feedbacks.

Reminds me to the mini game for Altador cup at Neopets.

Nice graphics and sounds.

I tried a few times and the best I got was 175.

Love the look, as simple as it is, really bring back the memories. :D

2063, probably not a bad score. :)

This is nice and fun. Can be better with better graphics and effect.

All in all. I like it.

Nice! Thank you for playing :D

Thank you :)

I second this. Hahaha. Definitely too hard for me.

(1 edit)

This is cool! Normally I would just stop after a few failed attempts, but this game keeps me at it until the end. Love the gameplay.

But it would be cool if, there is some kind of victorious indicator to it. At least acknowledging my effort of playing the game to the end. :D But yeah..good job!

I picked up on this game for the Games We Passed Jam (Bonus round!)

I made quite a few changes to the game, and I'm quite satisfied with how it turned out.

I added a short story and a simple puzzle at the end.

If you have some time, please check out the game.

Thank you.  :)

Before, the audiosource was on the player and the volume was calculated based on the distance from the toys. I just changed it so that the sound comes from the toys and set the 3D spatial to 1.

Ah, you're right. Totally an oversight on my part. I should have made the light dimmer or maybe increase the brightness bit by bit the closer the player is to the toy.

Yeah. Happened to me too.

Thanks :)

Awesome! That requires some great mouse maneuvering skill :D Thanks for playing.

Thanks :)

nice work!

This is nice. It took me quite a while to get used to the attack and after that it is easy enough to finish the game.

It would be better if we can see more of what in front, especially when going up and down.

I really like the main character design.

Thank you :)

Thanks :)

I am probably about 80% done with Listen to the Toys. I did quite a lot of changes to the game.  Added a simple story and puzzle to the game too. But for now, there is only good ending to the game. You can't die and there is no game over. Probably I'm just going to leave it that way.

Hopefully I have enough time to finish it.

Thank you. The additional songs were from the day 6 dev.
Just about to start unity and start digging on the project files for this jam.
Happy jamming to you too.

Thanks. I've uploaded the project file.
It does sounds interesting, but I'd have little to no experience in working as a team. If somehow you can get the others to agree to work together, sure.

Thanks. :)

Just join the jam . I'll be working on Listen to the toys.
I hope more will join soon.

I think I want to work with this title. I already have the ideas on how to expand on this. I just hope that I have enough time to work on it.

And if you have some time, please take a look at my post-jam version of BEAThoven.

https://tinyrambutan.itch.io/beathaven

Hi. Just to let you guys know that I made another version of BEAThoven.

Renamed it to BEAThaven since there are other songs too.

At. My bad. Just realized you've changed the control to LMB.

I think it is easier to control with LMB. Nice!

Hahahaha. Thank you :D

Thank you. I hope this game will make it in the video too. Anyways, the screaming and the chaos is what makes the game weirdly fun. Hahaha.

Is it just me? The webGL control for dive is not working.

This is awesome! I love every bit of the tweaks and additions made for this version and I even won the game. Hahaha. The previous teleportation AI of Bob always get to me somehow. Love the leveled-up Bob.

Extra love to the air bubbles under the water. It makes the underwater looks so much better and, in a way, works as a path indicator.
