I love the music and the voice! the pixel art animations are a real charm! I'm all up for strategy games and it's really nice to see what you have accomplished with the systems in this timeframe! Would love to see this game fleshed out more someday! ✨😊
Really nice vibe. Would love to play more with polish and the ability to zoom out.
Great work on creating such a delightful game!
Nice work and cool artstyle!
Cool game and definitely have potential with some balancing and more polish.
What I would love to see in this game is zoom out/in function (I was dragging to look for good placement for the woodcutter hut and got 'lost' for a while looking back for the townhall. :D
A speed up function will really improve the game. Oh, and the reset somehow did not reset the wood and food quantity. At one playthrough I was soft locked when my 2 wood cutters just stuck together. Probably they're gossiping and forgetting to work :D
As for the voice over although AI generated surely added some kind of charm to the game, and nice music too.
A job well done!
TQ.all address bugs in the comment had been fixed on my side but yeah, after the jam haha. I checked the gossiping woodcutter they actually not assigned to any wood cutter station(hahaha). They receive offer letter without post location. Thanks for playing
I like this idea and would definitely like to play again if you do decide to add more polish after the jam.
I loved the AI voiceover.
I did struggle to understand whether I needed to actually click the trees to gather the resources or if any villagers assigned to woodcutter roles just did it automatically. It felt very hard to get wood to the point I wonder if it's a bug. At one point I had three cutting down wood - I'd built 3 of the woodcutting buildings next to the little forest.
They were chopping then every now and then they walked over to the wood cutter building. There was a 'dropping' noise which made me think they were supposed to be dropping off the wood they collected, but the wood number didn't go up. I may have misunderstood though.
Anyway I love the concept and if the wood cutting was sped up to balance things a bit more I think this would be really great. I think you did a good job in 10 days, especially since you were working on it alone. Well done.
The tree cut in three round and place temporary at the hut but no gaining it yet. You gain it when the cutter send it to the mainhall. Thanks for playing bro!!!
That makes sense - thank you!
That AI voiceover is amazing! Really adds a lot to the game. Every time they said "I am a woodcutter" it filled me with joy. Neat little game, sir!
Tq, sir. The ai voice is kinda useful but i need to try and error with the text, because sometime it wont read with intonation that i want.(Wish my voice is good too, ehem!)
Um everything is fun and nice game <3 but when people gather wood it does not go up
Yeah, actually the idea is to cut,to store temporary at hut for 3 round and the bring back to man hall. I might balance this later or introduce dispatcher or cargo service but i dont know yet.haha
Nice pixel art, the voice-over is a cool feature.
The voiceover and music really added to the vibe (I presume the voice is AI - but sounded decent). I liked the retro pixel art and overall feel. The wood gathering was a bit slow compared to farming, so maybe some balancing there would help. Also, adding a time speed-up option could make things smoother. Impressive work for a jam game.
Such a polite game! Nicely done.
If there was one thing I would have liked it would be a "speed up time" button, since it takes a while to get enough wood to do anything. Otherwise, very cute and, yes, kind of relaxing!
Wow! The voiceover suits the game perfectly. The gameplay is satisfying, and the pixel art looks fantastic!
Very relaxing and easy to play. It might need a little more balancing to help you gather wood faster.
Good work.
Nice sound and music. It was nice that you disclosed these were AI generated. The game is interesting. It was a little confusing at first. I had to play it three times to realize the wood cutter had to cut wood a couple of times before sending it to townhall, as oppose to cabbage farms that are very very productive. Once you understand the basics it is a very nice experience. Good Job.
TQ. Agreed this require balance later on
I over invested in cabbage farming so it took forever to build another wood carving shed. Even though everyone was homeless, at least they didn't stave. Great work on the voice acting and chill vibes!
Nice job. Good use of the theme.
Great little village building game. How did you make this in 10 days? I love the voice-over tutorial.
Ideas to improve:
- Speed up woodcutting, it took forever and made it hard to build a village.
- Maybe scroll map with mouse near the edge of the screen or WASD keys, rather than just mouse drag.
Brilliant work.
Thanks bro, my first game jam and first webgl build ever. i thought the mouse in webgl work like mobile screen drag, but half way i found out it does not but forget to change it.
Great job making a full city builder in just 10 days. I did run into 1 small bug, when I hit 'R' to reset it didn't reset supplies to the starting amount so I couldn't do anything and had to refresh the browser. But other than that minor issue great work!
Thanks,Glad you like it, will fix it after the jam
beautiful game with music and voice over , implementing , ,i loved it.
I loved the art style and the music! It didn’t feel repetitive at all. I’d love to see more of this game, if you’re still updating it.
Glad you like it bro
