Thanks for playing! Several people have commented that about accidentally leaving their saved character behind. Maybe a better design would be to not open an exit door until the full party catches up.

Thanks for playing it and commenting!

Nice job. Good use of the theme.

Interesting game. I liked the story approach and the use of the Tiny Worlds theme.

Very nice! This looks great, and I'm impressed with the dialog and different characters. Really good use of the Tiny Worlds theme.

Nice. I'm don't last very long before I die, but I like the design and sound.

Thanks! I like the upgrade idea.

Thanks! I wish I'd had time for sound.

Thank you!

Thank you!

Getting blocked by your own party was easier to fix than I expected! The Player and NPCs are all on the same physics layer and I had them colliding with all the other layers (world, player, enemies, weapons). I just removed the player mask from the Player scene. Now the player pushes the NPCs out of the way instead of colliding with them. You can still get swarmed by enemies, but you can't get trapped in a corner by your own party.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks!

Thank you!

Thanks! I'm sad that I didn't have time for music and sound fx. They would really help the game.

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback and screenshots! You're absolutely right about the missing colliders and non-shooting archers on Level 2. The wall is an easy fix. Scratching my head about the archers. The jittery movement and NPCs crowding and blocking you are two things I need to look into. Thanks for playing and commenting!

Nice job. The game looks good and is addictively difficult.

Good job! I like how you came up with a way to make tower defense fit the game jam theme.

Very nice! Beautiful sound design and visuals. It's like a relaxing white noise machine that you can play notes on. I could see having on on in a background tab while I'm working.

Nice use of the theme. Fun game!

Thanks! I liked your game too!

Fun! I like that you can either run the level or place the traps. And that you made a multiplayer option!

Thanks! I happy you finished the game! NPCs hugging you do death in a corner is a problem I need to find a solution to.

Thanks! Getting crowded by enemies is the most aggravating thing that I need to solve.

Thank you! I was really happy with the ending and tried to make the game easy enough that people would get to it.

Thanks! I have a lot of things I wish I'd had more time for. Minimap is a good idea. That could also help if the player goes running off and leaves an NPC behind.

Thanks! I'll have to make the door mechanics more clear.

Thank you! Sound effects were in my plan for the last day, but other bugs got in the way. I'm sad I didn't have time to add sound.

Thanks! You're not the only person confused by opening the door. I'll have to make that more clear.

Yes, that's something I need to work on. I also would like for the NPCs following you not to crowd you or each other. I might change things so each NPC is targeting a different corner around the player instead of all following the player's center location. Giving the player some limited attack could also help when getting ganged up on by enemies.

Thank you! I wanted to have some more visual hints or instructions about finding a key to open the door, but I was overscoped on what I could finish already. Thanks for playing!

Thanks! I wasn't sure about balancing the HP and attacks. I decided I want to err on the side of easy and fun so people would make it through more levels and maybe finish the game when judging it for the jam.

Nice use of the tiny world theme. This is a cool little space shooter.  I like the mechanics of having to lure the ships away from their planet so you can get a clean shot at it.

Very nice graphics and atmosphere!

Very nice use of the jam theme.

Good use of the jam theme to make things smaller as a mechanic.

Fun. I enjoyed the unique mechanics of flinging newspapers from a spaceship while dodging asteroids.

Nice! This could be be the start of a nice little tactics game. I wish there were more levels were I could keep spending to upgrade my army and fight bigger enemy armies. This was a great game jam game that gets right to the point and is easy to understand and play!

I submitted my game, but when I go back to the main jam page the Submit your project button is still there, and there's no button or link to view your submission. I just want to make sure the game was actually submitted. https://chucklespmonkeyworth.itch.io/tiny-dungeon-rescue
