Great job on your submission! Really neat aesthetic and it fit well with your theme/setting. Since there didn't seem to be any downside of using the fireball, it made the sword a bit irrelevant, maybe adding some mana would help balance that a bit. I ran into an issue at the boss where he just faced the wall and did not attack me, but I was also unable to damage him and was not able to progress.

Sounds nice, plays nice, looks fantastic! Needs a little polishing on things like the enemy colliders and enemy response when attacked but I had fun playing through it. Good job, keep it up!

Good use of an ARPG setting. The dungeon was nicely laid out with a good progression of difficulty. Definitely could have used some sound effects, and knocking up the amplitude of the music, and setting up some sort of visual indicator when the enemy is hit. Half the time I had no idea if my attacks were successful as even the attacks that killed enemies had a delay before they disappeared.

Nice work - feels complete for a simple gamejam-deadline-game. Something to build on! :)

Nice little game ^^ I think the two things that are really missing are sound effects, and some kind of confirmation of when you hit the enemy or get hit by the enemy, like flashing the sprite or a particle system or something like that ^^

Love how you used the dungeon tilesets! The core mechanics worked very well! I enjoyed how you made the monster's AI too..  I like how you gated the passages so the player has to kill the boss first, in a specific order! As people mentioned, sound effects would bring this to the next level!

Would love to see this fleshed out as a bigger game! Overall great job for the team!

Nice little game. A bit more audiofeedback would have put it to the next level :)

It was a great game to play. Some part were very polished and some were a bit more clunky. I would suggest adding sound and visual indicators to damage. The boss in the room on the right seemed a bit bugged out, it never really chased me, and overall the hitboxes are a bit weird. But I had some fun, good job !

Hey guys I tested your game. It reminds me of old Zelda titles... Thanks for that nostalgia.

Now to the feedback. Fire could have better animation. At least, rotates depending on where its going. It feels a bit cheap to see a static fire moves the same to any direction.

Also, The boss mantis I could step on its bottom and spam sword and never got hit. So enemies AI needed better behavior like taking distance from placer and engage again for example. To add more challening and not just spam the sword until the end.

OH and the latest boss... Dropped a mini mantis. Lol not sure if intended or bug but that was funny.

Also - better feedback on dead enemies. At least a sound... Or color change... Or size change... Because they just vanish. That is weird.

Maybe a mana bar so that shooting fire requires recharging or something. And more skills - its a micromancer - i was expecting more magic!

But overall I liked your game <3 its cute to see a 2d like zelda in this jam.

Thanks for submitting your creation.

Fun little game. Clever use of the theme too; loved the story for the giant bugs.

You get a fireball, and YOU get a fireball! Everyone gets a Fireball, to the face,.. :)

Fun game, played to completion :). Nice progress and difficulties, though the bigger bosses did get stuck sometimes, making my fireballing them a bit easier :)

Well done team!

I must have been doing something wrong but I just couldn't get past the snakes in the second room - I kept getting thrown back to the beginning? Looked cool though!

Really good effort, I think it's mostly missing some audio to help immerse the player and give them some sort of feedback when they hit an enemy or get hit themselves. I also had a bit of a hard time finding the passageways between rooms, I had to constantly hug the walls until I found the next area.

The enemies responded well though and I enjoyed playing a traditional top down adventure game, very reminiscent of the first Legend of Zelda games! Good stuff!

Very nice!  Biggest feedback would be to echo that it could use some audio/visual feedback when the player and enemies are hit.  All-in-all, very well done!

Cool game! I think some visual feedback on when you're hit, and also when you are hitting enemies would go a long way. Also I didn't have any sound, but I think that may have been an issue on my end.

I had some trouble with the boss—he turned toward the wall and I couldn’t defeat him. Hit feedback would be great, it’s a bit hard to tell if you’re landing hits. Other than that, a nice little project! :)

Well done! I couldn’t figure out how to get past the part where the knives are coming out of the floor, but I liked the gameplay!
