Awesome strategy game! I had a lot of fun dominating the boards and spreading my hue.
That was great, I liked the hue puns, I liked the gameplay. it was well rounded.
This was fun and engaging! I loved how I could choose a colour hue. Great Job!
Thanks! Glad Hue enjoyed it :)
Great work overall. It’s a bit overwhelming at first with text info and visual but after a while, I understood how the game works. It’s a nice concept and remind me a bit of 2048 (the game).
It's my big failing of this game, more tutorial work :). I copped out with the wall of text. But while building the rest of the game I ran out of time really to re-invent the tutorial. Should have had 4 worlds for that to or something.
Glad you got into it though, and hope Hue had a good time :)
I'm amazed at how many "hue" puns hue were able to make, lol.
I think my only critique would be to consider fewer options on the left side in terms of your distribution ratio - it felt like only a few of those options were really necessary (I'd probably just do 1%, 35%, 50%, 100%). But admittedly, I didn't beat every level so maybe more finesse is required.
In any case, great job!!
Yeah thats fair I think, I've been considering a slider as an option instead recently :). But you know how it is in Jams :D, got more things to trial out then there is time for.
Thanks for playing though! Much appreciated!
I feel like there's some strategy here which flies a little bit over my head haha! I do like it lots tho. Picking your own color is also a very nice touch!
I did spam click my way through some levels but I did have fun!
Very nice game!
Bit more work on Tutorial from would have helped I think :). Wall of text only helps so much. But you know how it is with Jams :D ran out of time.
the key bit is in the battling other tiles, the more sides you have flanking the tile, the better your attack will be, and thats the 4 main sides, not diagonals. If you're hitting only 1 side, your loose troops 2(yours)-1(theirs), if on 2 sides, its 1-1, and 3 sides 1-2 and 4 sides 1-3. Sometimes you have to force your way in, so you'll need to up your multiplyer and brute force into a tile even if its only 1 side, to then work along the row.
Thanks of playing! how that helps
Oh, this becomes a clicker fest real fast D: When your game only had the tiny worlds I thought it might be cool to display a picture of a troop type along with the numbers. So for example, there would be an army-man if the number is less than 100, a tank if less than 500 and so on. But if the numbers blow up to billions, that’s probably not going to work. Awesome concept and great entry!
that's still a kool and interesting idea to kick around (for future projects, as well as if I continued this one). Nothing else exists in this game world though, kept it simple on art (I'm winning no awards on that front :P), so what those troop pics would be instead of (or as well as) the numbers would be interesting. One I'll ponder on :).
Thanks for playing!
Excellent soundtrack
heh, ok. :)
Nice puzzler! Very nice and chilled inbetween the levels which can be pretty intense! I got midway through and I'm going to pick it up again later to finish off the rest of the worlds - thank you for allowing saving progress!
That's great :) Glad you had fun playing, and I hope you come back and comeplete your Hue Takeover!
only Hue can do it!
Wow, what a cool game. I love the abstract aesthetic and system driven gameplay. It was quite frantic seeing the enemy numbers explode to a crazy scale, and trying to hold my ground! The only thing I'd change is that the click particles obscured the numbers so I couldn't tell whether my clicks were having the intended effect until the particles disappeared. But overall, a very compelling game as always! Great work!
That's a fair shout n the click particles obscuring the view.
Glad you felt the frantic fear as the enemy hues approaching and growing :).
Thanks for playing! glad you enjoyed!
Cool game! I always like being able to pick my color and you've turned that into a whole game, which is awesome. Our game is actually similar in that it also involves an insane amount of clicking, my hands are so tired.
Maybe I needed an auto clicker as well :D
Thanks for playing :), Glad you liked it.
It is fun seeing my color spread across the map, and I liek the touch in the beginning where you pick your color. I struggled a little with how the attacking and multipliers work, but overall I liked the game!
That's fair, I needed a longer tutorial perhaps to ease the player into things. The wall of text can only explain so much before you've even clicked a tile.
Thanks for playing!
I loved playing with color, It's a really great game and I think it would benefit from more time in the UI and tutorial of course. I was rapidly lost and panicked when I started seeing big number, while in reality it was not that hard to overcome
Yes, the tutorial needs 4 worlds really as well. ease the player in without the wall of text.
Big numbers are fun,.. but also scary :). was torn between slowing things down, and player waiting around to much.
Glad you enjoyed it! thanks for playing!
Strangely addictive!
There's definitely some strategy but I feel like it mostly comes down to clicking on multipliers as quickly as possible. If another hue gets a foothold on a x3 or greater square they quickly gain more numbers than can ever be overwhelmed.
Anyway I got there in the end! Colossal World 3 took several tries, most of them I managed the first time.
Hah was playing each others game at the same time :D
Awesome to see you completed it!
I totally could do with developing the Ai a bit better. Glad you picked up the strategy quite quickly :)
Your Hue Reigns Supreme! oh Great Hue! the one true Hue! The Chosen Hue!
I like all the puns! Hue are so witty.
yey! Thanks :)
Great job! I like the challenge and the game play. Glad to see how this one has progressed throughout the week!
Thanks! much appreciated :).
Great game. Wow does it get hard real fast. Great work!
Thanks! yeah there's some tricky levels in there, somewhat depending on multipliers and strategy.
Hope you managed to get through a few levels :)
Thanks for playing!
I did. I'll probably try again later to see if I can crack down some more.
Really fun game, I love the mechanics. Too much text though. Overall absolutely smashing game. Would be great as a mobile game.
One wall of text at the start of the tutorial,.. all other text is just a bit of flavor if anyone wants to read. Beyond that it's Smashing tiles :).
Thanks for your feedback. Kept to the smaller tiles with some tweaks, it might be an idea for mobile. Thanks!
