omg I loved this. The dreamy tone and setting were very well done. The music choices helped a lot with that. I liked the story and the idea of the cure. The movement was solid and the camera worked well. Very polished and enjoyable.

REVIEW:
PLAYED 11 min.

3D platformer like Mario64 and Crash Bandicoot.

I loved the intro art and dialogue and did not expect a 3D platformer at first.

Theme was well incorporated throughout the game with a simple story flow.

The fundamental game mechanics are solid, and camera control is not causing any loss of fun.

All the 3rd party assets are well utilised throughout.

This game is good example of not over complicating things at first.

Good job and thank you for the inspiration!

The game is well-presented and polished. Your take on the theme was great. It reminded me a bit of Pseudoregalia, where you play as a character who enters a princess’s dream to wake her from her slumber.

I really liked the controls and the camera motion. It added a fresh flavor to the experience. The visuals are also great, and I loved the story writing, especially with that comical font.

There's only one thing I wished for: more challenging levels as the game progressed. That would have made it feel like a truly important quest, which fits well with the story. After all, a serious illness would call for a difficult journey to cure it.

Amazing work!

The music was great! And I really liked the idea of the game! Then the added music variety! So that was a nice touch!

Thanks for giving it a try!

I love the music choices you made for each level, and the general concept is charming and sweet. I agree with the comment about adding a stronger shadow to the character, but I know from experience that's easier said than done.

Nice job!

Thanks!

Beautiful dreamy exploration adventure. It was so relaxing to play! Good job.

When is the new Star Mars coming out btw?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for giving it a play! Star Mars might be a good name for my next space project :)

Very beautiful story and great gameplay. Honestly you can make something out of it if you keep working on this idea.

Thank you for giving it a try!

Great game, particularly for a jam! If you expanded a little on the story or added some more levels it would be a good base for a game to release outside of the jam. Character is pretty cool too!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing and for streaming, I just was able to go watch! Glad you like it and no the disease is not real, I had chatgpt generate something fake for me cause I was at a loss of what to use

Absolutely loved it.

Introduction visuals and text were stunning. Created a calm and loving emotion. End of text, reading about the story had me engaged, but the visuals definitely helped.

Every scene was well planned. In interest of time, I won't comment now on specific level details, but each area was clearly well planned ahead of time.
Tiny details! The little pills (I am a careworker and those details are ingrained in my psyche and has special reference during my dayjob)

I don't normally play for long during reviews, but even though I fell through the map the first time, I started again. You had my attention.

Aesthetics informed emotions perfectly for each scene.

Good music choices! I am having a look at the asset pack now and will probably think of releasing music like this myself. I saw how it was implemented and how well the tracks worked emotionally.

This was one of my best experiences on itch so far.

Bravo! Loved it loved loved it.

The game is fun, but the camera angles are a bit confusing. I think if this game were released on consoles

Great job! :) Each Little world a little different then the others. Easy to get going and understand what you have to do with straight forward visual cues. Loads done in a short amount of time, impressive!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

This was nice, short, and sweet. I am glad you added visual cues to show where the player can step on in the level with the notes. Also, awesome music choice! Now I kind of wish there’s a little cutscene of Elle waking up!

Developer

Thanks for playing and helping with the testing, those visual clues were a good idea!

I really like that you have done a series of jumping puzzles for this jam.
Thanks for doing the downloadable version also.
You have the beginning of a jumping puzzle game you could release on Steam if you want to expand on it.

Thanks Marcus!

Short and sweet! The story is a great motivator to keep going and find the recipe! I like all the decorative touches, especially in the bedroom itself.

The controls are solid, but some of the jumps are difficult to judge; primarily when there are no shadows for the player to use as a reference. The final jump to the chair in the wizard's tower, for example. Putting a subtle spotlight pointing down on the player might help. But it's not such a challenging game that this really matters. :)

Thanks Satinel! The shadows were definitely giving me trouble on this one
