Hooray - I defeated the Serpent Lord! =)

Very fun game, I enjoyed playing!

What in the world did I just stumble upon!  This is incredible!  I dont know what I was expecting, but certainly not full randomly generated dungeons with turn based combat haha!  Great work!

Great battle system and alot of content fit into a jam game. I wish progress could be saved as I took one wrong turn to a powerful enemy and I'm back to beginning.

I was having so much fun I actually started grinding to get more items from the shop. Very fun game, good music choice too, reminded me a bit of Castlevania.

The corners could be a bit "rounder" so you wont get stuck so much when you didn't move all the way to the side or around a corner...

It was a bit unclear to me if any of the items collected are active and you need to select one of them or they're all passive and apply all the time...

The combat is nice with the various options but at some point it's lacking some new element/feature that better indicates progress.

For a while I thought the skills were capped at 9 but when I expected the last one to be increased a different one was selected and upgraded. (Yeah, I preferred randomly getting +2 over a more curated progress :) )

The second level was rather large compared to the first one, not so tiny at all :)

I loved the music, it was a really good game! the concept is really good and the gameplay, it is really fun to play, I would have liked to see the power of each attack deals when I'm selecting it, to see if I can kill the enemy it on that turn if the attack doesnt miss, but the game is awesome in general! :D

im not a big fan of turn-based games but man that was greatly polished and well made, music was really satisfying to hear and the sounds were good on point, i made it to the second challenge twice but couldn't get past it, i am a noobie for that kind of games haha, Great job!

Really strong entry. Nice job with the combat system.. having different moves for the scorpion parts was a clever touch. Enjoyed the retro vibe and music, definitely made the game feel bigger. impressive for a Jam game

This was super well thought out, and has the potential for a lot of depth. I could see this being on Steam in the future. Good job!

Nice game.
I will use the words of another comment as it happen to myself

> 1) The looking feels strange that it does not align with mouse input

The aiming was a little uncomfortable for me. Very nice though.

Love the game, I suck at initiative rolls but still enjoyed myself, it's got a really good balance with the combat and am incredibly grateful a map was added!

Very cool game, and the music is amazing! An impressive project, especially for such a short amount of time.

This was awesome! I remember the shop plushie and the badass music from last year's jam 😂 Great fun, it was cool to learn how to use my attacks to maximise damage!

This was very fun. If you fleshed this out it could be a legitimate paid game

I got squished by a rat! LOL Guess I wasn’t leveled up enough to go to level 2. That is a fun game! Love how the music changes during the fight sequences

Submitted(+1)

Extremely fun! and what a concept haha but i think the music takes the cake!! The battle music is so catchy, I didnt want the enemy to die!

I didn't know I needed a game like this, but this game was awesome! I had a lot of fun and spent the last hour playing this... oops haha. I got a little bummed out when I got booted out of the game due to a crash / error and I lost all my progress. It was fun and I got far on the second level, but crashed while fighting a wasp. Nothing useful in the error message other than saying it crashed and couldn't load the web version anymore. Still had a lot of fun!

Some notes:

1) The looking feels strange that it does not align with mouse input

2) was unsure that it was a turn-based fighting system and tried finding the controls of how to attack with my pincers/ stinger - took me a while to just walk into the first guy hoping something would happen

3) I never played a game like this before so the first battle was almost overwhelming with how much information there was and terms I am unfamiliar with: initiative, tenacity, and fortitude. The side bar of what happened in the turn went really quick, but was helpful later on when I understood what was happening

I could totally see more being added to this game to change up the different moves each part has, but this is super impressive for 1 person, great game! This was awesome!

This delivers a unique and engaging dungeon-crawling experience. Controlling a scorpion with distinct claw and tail attacks adds a refreshing twist to turn-based combat. The retro visuals and atmospheric music enhance the immersion. While the combat system is innovative, incorporating more environmental challenges could further enrich the gameplay. Overall, a creative and enjoyable game, great work!
