fun game , beautiful art , well done.
This is a really fun game! Some games have mechanics that are just downright fun to repeat over and over again. I'm thinking of the blink effect in dishonored or throwing the axe in God of war. The dash mechanic in this game felt similar. It's just fun to do! Also, the level design here is really impressive. The game feels challenging at times but also felt fair and like I just needed to tighten my skills a little to complete the level. Nice job.
Nice work. The atmosphere and visuals were really well done and gave the forest a magical feel. I liked the use of slimes and snails as mechanics.. added some charm. The floaty controls took a bit to get used to but fit the tiny world vibe. Loved the parallax. Would be great to see this expanded with more levels and maybe some collectables. The tutorial at the start helped with controls. Good job
Nice music and nice art, but I seemed to get stuck here, it can’t move:
I did have fun, yes!
The slimes didn't seem very happy about being used as bounce pads, but the snails were delighted to be used as transports.
The tutorial section is especially well done, showing the player everything they need to succeed and making sure they know how to do it. The arrows during the stages themselves might be overkill for a commercially released game, but as a jam game they were greatly appreciated.
There were a couple times I fell to my doom because I thought I was going to land on a solid object, only for it to turn out to be part of the background. One was a large rock which was admittedly different from anything I'd landed on before, but the other had all the appearances of other solid platforms.
Thank you very much! We’re really glad you enjoyed the game. It feels amazing to know that people are having fun with something you created.
We're sorry you had trouble with the background elements. It's our first time designing a 2D side-scroller, let alone a platformer, and we missed that part. Apparently, when you design the level yourself, it’s obvious to you what’s in the background and what’s in the foreground, but not necessarily for the player.
We’re planning to continue developing the game after the jam, and that’s one of the things we definitely plan to fix.
Very aesthetically pleasing with a nice background sound track. The controls are a little floaty but that's fine it it was chosen intentionally. I would have loved some type of collectable to collect but very nice work. Great Job!
Thank you for the review! We’re glad you liked it. I can’t believe we completely forgot to add collectables. It should have been so obvious. After the jam, we’re planning to turn this into a full game and fix that.
This was beautifully executed!
I love the platform mechanics, the jump/dash strategy involved and how you guys guided the player through the stages.. the environment feels fantastic and magical and I would love to see this fleshed out as a full game!
Great entry! ✨✨
Thank you so much for the review! We’re really glad you enjoyed the game. You truly made our day. We’re definitely planning to turn this into a full game!
Please do!
This has LOTS of potential avenues to explore! 💪💪
well, i love the chilling gameplay and a running around in the world was really nice, i loved the snail mechanic it was really cute and nice, for the overall theme and gameplay you greatly did well, congratulations! <3
Thank you very much! It really means a lot to us. We’re really glad you enjoyed it!
Really Nice, the artwork is so good, one suggestion though I believe the jump can be less floaty unless that is the intended design, either way I enjoyed it a lot!
Thank you for the review! We are glad that you enjoyed it, it means alot for us, the floatines of the player as to make it feel as if the player is alot smaller then he actually is but appearently alot of player didn't like that while other did, we will probably try make the player movement feel better after the game jam end!
A fun little platformer; I liked the jumping mechanics a lot. One tiny thing I noticed was that the scrolling background does seem to move a bit fast. The art is really cute and I had a fun time playing this!
Nice, jump is kinda floaty but it work with the design
Thank you, we are glad you enjoyed the game!
The aesthetic and atmosphere in this game is really nice! I really liked the presentation of the tutorial, made smooth to play. There was one time where I thought a rock was a platform I could land on, and died(?) but second time around I got it. Completed the game! Great job on your game ^.^
Typically, I'm not a fan of floatiness in games, but I felt it worked well with the wizard aesthetic and music here! Nice work
Thank you so much for the review, we really glad you enjoyed it!
Great game! :D Level design is very well done, had fun playing it
Thank you, we glad you enjoyed the game!!
Really solid game. Wish there was more story to it, but you hit the theme well. I thought the floaty feeling of the jumping was interesting. The wall jumping was a bit weird at first, but once I got the controls down it was very easy to play. Definitely reminded me of other indies side-scrolling puzzle jumpers I've played in the past.
I understand how those things go. I got bogged down in the wrong places a number of times. I tried to play with too many new things.
it's very cosy and nice. I hate jumping and at the start struggle with it but finally got it and make it to the end. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the great review. The controls are a little hard to get used to, but once you do, I find them very fun. I'm glad you overcame them and enjoyed the game.
This look and feel like a well done game. Love the music and the level design. Great work!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Cool game !!
Thank you!
The graphics for this game and environment looks very good. The music and sound fits nicely.
Controls was not very nice. Character is way too floaty and trying to jump and dash felt difficult.
Parallax effect for background also felt too fast.
Overall very nice game.
Thank you for the review. The reason the player's jump feels floaty was to make them feel a lot smaller than they actually are, to give that tiny world vibe. It was kind of a hit-or-miss decision, but thank you again for the review. Hope you enjoyed it!
You've made a great work with the enviroment and level design! It's breathtaking
Thank you so much! We are really glad you liked it!
