Great game. I like this game. I want to see this game in market in the future

Thank you. I’m glad you liked it. I’ll work on it some more

Nice game. I would have wanted a way to guide the villagers somehow. Good game.

Great little resource collector game! I really enjoyed it and got all the quests (except 20 villagers) Unfortunately, my game started lagging really bad at 15 villagers and I was unable to progress. Still had a lot of fun and loved watching my villagers zoom around! Here are some notes that hopefully will help you and help improve this awesome game!

1) A few items dropped off the side of a cliff so my guys couldn't get to them

2) The panning camera was too slow

3) The wood truck upgrade didn't do anything?

4) Quests didn't feel like there was a point since there were no rewards for them other than a stats tracker

5) It is a balancing act of which job to assign to your guys, but it felt like gathering was needed all the time - I had 5 gatherers and 1 harvester / lumberjack and they still couldnt keep up

6) Once, one of my guys got stuck in place and couldnt move, but he wasnt stuck on anything. Unassigning jobs and reassigning them fixed it. Happened again when I hired a new villager and tried assigning him before closing the upgrade menu. Also happened if I assigned a villager as a gatherer but there was nothing on screen at that moment to gather. Also happened if I clicked the assign button too quickly.

7) If someone else picked up an item, they all still went to that location - so their pathfinding wasn't updated when their target was removed

8) Started lagging when I only had 1 lumberjack and 1 harvester and 11 gatherers and they could not keep up

9) If a new bush / tree spawns, any lumberjacks and harvesters will not see it until unassigned / reassigned

Great job! I think there was more, but I had a blast!

Oh - at the beginning, since there were no upgrades, it was hard to know what I should prioritize, so I had no real direction at first. It was cool figuring it out, but just another piece I wanted to add :)

Developer

Thank you for your detailed feedback.

  • Crops falling in unaccessible places, I think I’ll have to check if the place they are landing on is reachable before putting them there
  • I’ll improve the camera speed, maybe add a setting to adjust that
  • the trunk upgrade allows lumberjacks to chop the trunk of trees.
  • for villagers getting stuck I’ve not yet found a great solution.
  • the system that monitor trees and crops is to be improved
  • for the lagging part, another player reported it to me too, it may be due to the way I handle the pathfinding, the method I use requires more resources. I’ll work on that too
  • for the balancing part, of workers vs gatherers. I’m thinking of adding an upgrade that allows gatherers to carry multiple crops

All of these sound like great improvements! I also wanted to mention that some of the new trees and bushes would spawn on places they could not go, so the villagers came to a standstill since there were no more available bushes / trees / items to pickup. The improvement for villagers to carry more would be huge! The island looks super cool and I just wanted my guys to explore the land and explore the caves and see what else I could discover, so that what was mostly motivating me to keep playing. Great game!

Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate that

Very satisfying to watch it play out. Almost done all of the quests but the game crashed with all the things that were happening xD Would be nice to adjust the spawn zones and accessible areas a bit as some resources ended up being unreachable. Otherwise very good game, good job

Thank you for your feedback.
I think I’ll have to rework on many areas of the game. Time to get busy

So cute. Very relaxing and satisfying to watch the little guys running around collecting and building. The art and general polish stood out, especially for a jam entry. The management system felt intuitive and the upgrades and quests worked well. I did have some issues where the villagers got stuck or froze up.. maybe some save or recovery system would help for longer plays but im sure that was outside scope of a Jam. Overall I enjoyed it a lot and I can see loads of ways you could expand this.. new villager roles, enemies or hazards. Was a nice chill idle ish game.

Very good game and aesthetics. Also the purchase and tasks completed aspect is very nice, and give a depth to the game. Overall a relaxing experience.

Such a fun, cozy farm like game. You did a fantastic job making it!

That was just excellent. Well done!

Can you get more guys to do other things? Planters for new trees, farming like that? Have a whole bunch of guys doing that stuff build up you farm. Maybe hunters later for animals that ravage your farm, then finally...

The dreaded Valconians from the Eastern Woods comes and attacks you. and you must defend yourself with soldiers.

Yeah. Iiked your game and a great place to start.

Developer

Thank you for your suggestions.
I’ll keep them in mind when expanding the game.
I’m glad you liked it

I’ve fixed the black screen issue

Submitted

Really nicely done. Love the music and mechanics. The pathfinding is really good, did you use behaviour trees for this? Great work all round - the upgrades and quests worked really well. I got the black screen of doom too, otherwise I definitely would have carried on playing.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback.
I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Yes I’m using behavior trees.
Sorry to hear about the black screen. Can you upload a screenshot of your JavaScript console?

a highly accessible and well polished game. I think if we consider relaxing-challenging as a spectrum for games, our games sit on opposing ends of that spectrum. still very much enjoyed it. the only game I kept playing while rating and commenting so far.

This is faar from an "idle" game!

I need to concentrate and check the resources onn the ground to syoncronize and optimize the gathering and producing processes. It was soo fun!
It hac no real story, but there are quests and upgrades, so this was not a big problem on my side. But it crashed once with a black screen, and I dont know why, because I had 4 villigers 3 geatherer and 1 woodcutter.

Great and addictieve game...
Good work!

If you have time, check and rate my game too.
Have FUN :3

The game was fun! I'm not sure if I beat or bugged out as I had a few people, got the truck and vibing. Pressed the quest button and then it just became a black screen? Up until then the vibe and experience was really good!

I’ve not yet mastered web export on the engine I’m using

Very fun game, love the idea :D As the others pointed out, sometimes the villagers get stuck in running animation without moving while there's still tasks for them to do. But other than that, this game's really good. Great work !

Zooming to full-screen left me with some part outside of my screen (2560x1600) to the bottom and right sides...

Villagers eventually got stuck with their tasks although there were still things to do for them. It seemed like they forgot what they were wanting to do in the middle of the way (still shown as running, but staying in place I guess one reason might be they picked the same resource to harvest or gather and when the other guy grabbed it they lost their target.

Sadly, sometime in the endgame (only one more quest to finish) it froze and I had to reload the page, losing everything.

Apart from these technical issues, it's lovely. I wish there were also multiple different sprites for the villagers as indicated by the title card. Also, it might be useful if you could select a specific villager and assign them a task (or at least put them to idle and clear their memory; it seemed just putting them all to idle and then going back to the same assignment didn't change a thing and only when I gave them all a new assignment and then switched back did they get back to work...)

Thank you for your feedback.
Sorry to hear about your troubles, for the villager’s getting stuck, I’m still looking for a better way to handle it.
I think I may add a feature to select some villagers to assign work to.

Cute little idle game. I think the hood should be more centered on the map to reduce walk routes

This was a really fun idle game. The working is so much faster than transporting, it felt a bit unbalanced but maybe this is intended, it feel less "idle" that way (We need to change our workers back to gatherers, and then back to workers)

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. I’ll work on that
