Thank you very much for giving the game a shot, glad you were able to get the chance to do so! We certainly do need a better onboarding / interaction guide as the player progresses through the game.

Glad you found the fishing mechanic interesting, sorry it was frustrating as we definitely want to avoid that kind of feeling. I think it needs to be stated more clearly that releasing the line sometimes instead of pulling in drastically reduces the tension which prevents the line from snapping.

Anyway, we appreciate you giving it a playthrough and the feedback!

Thank you kindly for checkout our game! Glad you had a good time and it's always nice to see a fellow fishing enjoyer. <3

Hey! Love the art, very cute! The game is actually well done for your first jam submission. With some polish, I could see this feeling a lot more complete, but I understand scope creep is real. Great work and keep up the development journey!

Hey! This was a neat little game. Reminded me of Kitchen Chaos. I feel like the orders were coming in a bit too fast to keep up but I also understand these kinds of games try to put you under pressure. Overall great work!

Hey! Great work with the characters, praise the sun! I can also see there was a lot of work put into the systems in this game. I'm personally not big of this style of game, but it was actually pretty fun to play. Thanks for the experience and great work!

Hey! That intro with the book and writing was so well done. Loved the minigames, it felt well fleshed out for the most part. The music was not too distracting and added positively to the vibe. Great work on your submission!

Hey! This felt sooo comfy! The narrator has a lovely voice, the story with the visuals was very well put together and the music was on point. Great work on this submission!

Hey! Although the game loop was really simple, it was also satisfying because it was easy to understand. Would be cool to add a little variety on what can be picked up (maybe some power ups).

Great job overall on your submission!

Hey! This was a pretty tough platformer. I do love the little details you added for feedback (like when the penguin lands it squashes a bit), I can certainly appreciate that. I think when you die, it should restart you automatically instead of asking you to do it (I think that would feel a lot more intuitive and faster, especially because I think people will die a lot trying to beat this game).

Great job on your submission!

Hey! This was a cool take on the classic bomber game. Sadly I didn't have another person with me to be able to do a 2 player game, but it does sound like a fun mode! It was a nostalgic experience for me as I used to play it a lot growing up. Great job on your submission!

Hey! The computer player really does not mess around in this one haha. Loved having the option to play local multiplayer, don't see much of that in game jams. A big piece of feedback would be to always include some kind of sound control in your game, as it was very load for me. Otherwise, great work on your submission!

Hey! A fella fisher enjoyer! We had a similar idea, although we did the fishing as a main focus. Love your implementation of a unique way to do 2D fishing, I can certainly appreciate it and it was pretty fun. Would love to have seen the fishing explored a bit more (more fish variety, etc.) but I'm biased towards that haha. Great work on the submission, had a fun time trying it out!

Hey! 10/10, would cook blood and tear soup again (hopefully of my enemies). There were a lot of neat mechanics, I can see ya'll put a lot of work into this one. Great job! Although it had a bit of a self learning curve, it was a fun experience trying to figure it all out.

Hey! Wonderful idea with the fireball clearing out the snow. So many puzzle possibilities with hiding things in the snow.  The ice sliding parts were fun to solve. Great job on your submission!

Hey! Great job on your stepping stone submission! Love marshmallows in my cocoa :)

Hey! 10/10 seal and truck spin. :D Game was simple and fun to complete. I felt it was pretty well balanced, except for one of the houses on the last level (upper house) was very difficult to get to. I had to retry quiet a bit of times haha. Great work overall on the submission, it was a neat experience!

Hey! The characters were so cute! Great work on the art overall. Love the "lemonade stand" idea with the daily report for each day. Wish there were a bit more hints on how to make money but I know time limits are rough. Great work on your submission!

Hey! I had to go get some hot cocoa myself after playing this haha. For the trash part, it is not possible to predict where the trash will appear, would be nice if there was something for that. Great job overall!

Hey! This was something I have not seen yet. What a neat way to make music! Many of the sounds were funny, I want more singing penguins!!

Great job on your submission!

Hey! I was able to play with my controller smoothly, so props for having that. I wish there was a full screen mode as it was hard to see things on my big screen in the little window. The game overall was really cute and the puzzle-ish vibe was fun. Great work!

Hey! This was a neat idea with trying to dodge attacks and not "stand in red" like in MMOs. I appreciate skipping the dialogue after the first time to get back in the fight quicker after a death. I kept trying but could not get past the star shaped part, since the hitbox is around the entire wolf and not just the feet it was not possible for me to fit into the small space to not get hit.

Great work on your submission!

Hey! Really neat detail to have with the snow trails as you walk. I can see the vision you had for the game with the keeping up of player needs trying to keep them alive. I do think it was a bit unforgiving, I learned to play by dying a lot which I think in general is not the most intuitive way to learn hah.

Overall great job, it looks like you put it good work into the game systems. Keep it up!

Hey! Love the splatter effects, it made me want to smash all the cars haha. It was also really tough not to hit/get hit, I think maybe there were a little too many other cars.

Great work though! Keep up the development journey!

Hey! Love the little details you added (like the snowballs breaking apart when hitting the walls). I wasn't sure what to do when I ran out of snowballs, it was tough to not get hit by the enemies. It was still a neat experience.

Great job getting your first jam submitted! Keep up the development journey!

Hey! I really liked the variety in each level. This felt like a really good start to a Metroidvania style platformer. It was tough to beat some of the levels but it wasn't too punishing with the checkpoints. Great work!

Hey! I think I just played through a bunnies worst nightmare (carrots chasing him trying to kill him lol). It was a bit hard to tell when the enemy was going to hit, but I managed. I think the guys in the second level (the fast and terrifying ones) are much easier to defeat than the ones in the first level.

Great work on the submission!

Hey! Neat VN story, I dropped the coffee more than I'd like to admit, so many hazards haha. Great work!

Hey! Love the concept of swapping levels to solve other levels. I think it would have been a little better if you couldn't swap to all the levels. I felt a bit overwhelmed seeing so much different objects to interact with when swapping to the other levels and trying to remember what was where was pretty tough. Never the less, I had fun and again, such a neat concept.

Great work!

Hey! This was  a very interesting game. I like that you put a minigame into the "transition" limitation, that was a really good idea. I did find out that eating the doors made it easier to come back through them, but i was not sure if there were any negatives for doing that. My big feedback would be to try to include a volume control for the sound because it was really loud for me.

Overall great job on the game!

Hey! I've never played a 2D pixel survival game before so this was a neat experience. I kept thinking I had to get to a fire during the night (like in the Don't Starve game) but the fire kept attacking me! :D

This game looked like it had a lot of mechanics you put a lot of time in. Great work!

Hey! That was really satisfying to play and try to get a high score. Reminded me of some of those skateboarding/parkour games. Love how you were able to go faster by doing tricks, really wish the track was longer!

Great job on the submission! How did I do on my score?

Hey! A nice, simple platformer. I loved it. Let me know how I did on my time!

Hey! Love me an ol' fashion platformer. The music was nice and the movement was decent for a platformer. I appreciate the waypoints throughout the level too.

Some improvements you could make:

- Camera movement is too sharp, it's a bit jarring to the eyes. Smoothing movement would help alot.

- Second level platforms really blend in with the background, hard to see where is safe.

- Would be nice if the platforms that disappear start to blink when they are about to disappear (or slowly fade) instead of instantly disappearing.

Great work on the project!

Hey! This was a really neat idea! Loved that you had other traffic on the road, that was a nice touch. I thought that maybe GTA 6 was finally released there for a second. :D Music was great for the vibe. My only gripe would be how slow the car was, I just wanted to floor it (especially on the straight aways) but i couldn't.

Great job on the project overall!

Hey! This game was really cute! Loved how all the bears were hidden in different ways around the map. Enjoyed the detail of making the ice feel slippery and the snowflakes were very fitting for the art style you went for. Only thing I would say is would have been good to signify map edges a bit better, as I constantly found myself trying to see if I can go that way by walking into the map edge.

Great work, I had fun and was able to find 6/5 bears!

Hey! I really like how the concept is simple and easy to pick up. The only thing I struggled with was remembering where the boxes go. It would be good to put some kind of sign/arrow etc. with a number by the door (or something else if it's too obvious). That way players don't have to keep referencing the instructions outside the game. The music tones were a good choice for the vibe IMO. Would be cool to see some progression elements implemented (like some kind of upgrade or something to work towards) as the game did not seem to have anything to work towards outside of not losing stars.

It seems like it might be your first submission, so great work on your project! Keep up the development journey!

Ah ok, no worries! Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. Absolutely, always worth submitting something you worked hard on!

Thank you very much for such a kind review, it really means a lot! We focused on trying to create a unique, engaging and fun fishing mechanic so it's good to hear it was received well! Glad you were able to complete the entire game and enjoy the experience, that's always what it's all about. <3

We certainly need to balance the progression better! Thank you for checkout out our game, glad you had fun!

Thanks for checking it out, glad you enjoyed it! <3
