Cool concept, very original style .
Nice premise and execution! I need a copy of that book for my own bookshelf. Enjoyable dialogue. I think my favorite part was replaying what is a stressful situation in real life in a still relatable but laid back game form. Good job!
Nice little game. The dialogue was enjoyable, and the art style was charming. The automatic item usage was a bit unexpected but worked fine. Well done.
Nice and tight experience. Well scoped and pleasant to play. Had fun with the character and exploring a day in the life.
Would be intrigued to see more of the world in future.
Good Job!
This is a cute little game! The premise is nice and silly, and the escape room is fun. Very simplistic, but I think that works well. I like it!
What a highly relatable game, haha! Couple moments:
Very nice jam entry, simple plot and I like the art.
A nice and simple point-and-click game in an everyday-life dungeon. That's an original interpretation of a tiny world : adventure can happen home and last hours. And the story relates so much...
Abby's manga style and the apartment's realistic style don't blend in well. It's probably due to the assets, maybe another set would have been better (but are there any ?).
It seems to be your first submission. That's good work. Well done !This is a good start point for a longer story, with meeting with friends, preparing food, or other stuff, always with the key that can be lost.
Thanks for the Linux build, by the way, not everyone thinks about it. ;)
I mentioned it earlier in the comments, but the 3D environments were intended to be a visual guide for my partner to redraw in 2D; however they were too busy with real life stuff, so out of necessity, I ended up using them as is.
I liked the character design and the story.
short and to the point haha
was expecting to combine the items myself but I didn't have.
Great little game, I really did enjoy it, well done!
A short point and click adventure.
I see that the use of items is automatizated. Is confusing in the start, but this make things easy.
Really good game! Abby's art style was cute and I liked the room designs! Good job!
Hahaha, that was a fun concept xD
The dialogues, music and art were engaging... so i was just clicking everything on sight to see her response and eventually got the key. It was funny
I would definitely loose a loose key like that, need to attach it to something big like a plushie keychain so no way you can misplace it.
Really cool 3D environment and 2D art on top, fun visuals, did not expect it to be 3D.
I honestly wanted to have the whole game be 2D and the 3D apartment was suppose to be a visual guide for my partner to redraw; but they got super busy by the time I had things ready, so out of necessity, I had to use the prerendered images I made.
It's a lovely game, in a good shape to show that if you want to go bigger or in a deeper story you totally have the skills for. Good job, it was small but fun to play !
Thanks! I'm sure it's the imposter syndrome in me talking, but I don't have much confident in my own skills. Programming or otherwise. It's nice hearing someone else's prespective, helps with getting rid of that doubt.
I'm certainly going to use this project as a springboard for reworking into a more proper adventure game system for a future project.
Running out of cream for the coffee is quite upsetting, not to mention losing the keys to your apartment.
Simple but entertaning game. Good job on making it!
Fun point and click with a funny premise. Nice job!
Nice, making use of some of the sponsored assets!
Nice writing, too!
Fun little point and click style game. Really enjoyed the fun dialogue for each object.
This is really well made short and relatable story. This is such a lovely music and art that goes well with the game's story. I feel Abby's predicament, can't say I have not been there myself atleast a couple of times.
I don't know how "Tiny Worlds" theme is used here, maybe we are searching for a tiny object in a tiny apartment. I am not sure.
Yeah I goofed when looking at the theme for the jam and interpreted it meaning "tiny" as in "1-2 levels/screens tops. We were already knee-deep in asset creation that we decided to take the 'L' on this one and do better next time.
I love how Abby looks when she gets excited about something! (Though for a moment I thought she had four arms in the introduction.)
I also like that each interactable has two different responses to being clicked on, an introduction and then a followup. It would also be nice if they had a third for when the key has been discovered, but there's only so much time when it comes to making a jam game. :)
I thought for sure the key was going to end up being outside the door, still in the lock. I still have a long way to go as a key detective.
Yeah, the game didn't really take shape until late Thursday evening; and I spent most of my work day on Friday writing up all the dialogue into a json. I was so worn out before I got it all that I had to outsource the last bit of it to my partner so we could have something playable that evening.
At the start of the jam, I wanted to have two key based puzzles, one for your apartment and one for the electronic gate on the property; as well as a secondary character for Abby to interact with and serve as a means to extend the dialogue system some more. Less than a day and a half from the start date, I had to talk myself down to what got made. Even then the key puzzle didn't end up the way I envisioned it either. I wanted to base the puzzle on a task I saw on the television show Taskmaster where you would need to plug holes where the key was and fill it with water to retrieve it.
