I would definitely loose a loose key like that, need to attach it to something big like a plushie keychain so no way you can misplace it.
Really cool 3D environment and 2D art on top, fun visuals, did not expect it to be 3D.
I honestly wanted to have the whole game be 2D and the 3D apartment was suppose to be a visual guide for my partner to redraw; but they got super busy by the time I had things ready, so out of necessity, I had to use the prerendered images I made.
It's a lovely game, in a good shape to show that if you want to go bigger or in a deeper story you totally have the skills for. Good job, it was small but fun to play !
Thanks! I'm sure it's the imposter syndrome in me talking, but I don't have much confident in my own skills. Programming or otherwise. It's nice hearing someone else's prespective, helps with getting rid of that doubt.
I'm certainly going to use this project as a springboard for reworking into a more proper adventure game system for a future project.
Running out of cream for the coffee is quite upsetting, not to mention losing the keys to your apartment.
Simple but entertaning game. Good job on making it!
Fun point and click with a funny premise. Nice job!
Nice, making use of some of the sponsored assets!
Nice writing, too!
Fun little point and click style game. Really enjoyed the fun dialogue for each object.
This is really well made short and relatable story. This is such a lovely music and art that goes well with the game's story. I feel Abby's predicament, can't say I have not been there myself atleast a couple of times.
I don't know how "Tiny Worlds" theme is used here, maybe we are searching for a tiny object in a tiny apartment. I am not sure.
Yeah I goofed when looking at the theme for the jam and interpreted it meaning "tiny" as in "1-2 levels/screens tops. We were already knee-deep in asset creation that we decided to take the 'L' on this one and do better next time.
I love how Abby looks when she gets excited about something! (Though for a moment I thought she had four arms in the introduction.)
I also like that each interactable has two different responses to being clicked on, an introduction and then a followup. It would also be nice if they had a third for when the key has been discovered, but there's only so much time when it comes to making a jam game. :)
I thought for sure the key was going to end up being outside the door, still in the lock. I still have a long way to go as a key detective.
Yeah, the game didn't really take shape until late Thursday evening; and I spent most of my work day on Friday writing up all the dialogue into a json. I was so worn out before I got it all that I had to outsource the last bit of it to my partner so we could have something playable that evening.
At the start of the jam, I wanted to have two key based puzzles, one for your apartment and one for the electronic gate on the property; as well as a secondary character for Abby to interact with and serve as a means to extend the dialogue system some more. Less than a day and a half from the start date, I had to talk myself down to what got made. Even then the key puzzle didn't end up the way I envisioned it either. I wanted to base the puzzle on a task I saw on the television show Taskmaster where you would need to plug holes where the key was and fill it with water to retrieve it.
Okay I found the key but I couldn't get the objects to interact (I dont want to give spoilers lol) with the two items I wanted to put together, so that I could actually get to it? I love all the humour you injected in this, nacho average murder lol!
They automatically get used when you click on the key when you have both in your inventory. I wanted to implement a legit inventory system, but I ran out of time so it's strictly click on the key when you have the correct items.
Fun fact: Nacho Average Murder is an actual book a friend of mine found at a Goodwill.
Good game. Nice little puzzle clicking game.
I've streamed your game :)

fun game to play !
This is my first playing a point and click game. I love the aesthetics of it and I enjoyed the story and playthrough. For sure I've also lost my keys one time or two! Great game!
It’s a nice story that you learn more about her as you try to find her key.
I agree with everyone else, you have really made this fun.
The reason I think it's fun is because it is so well written.
Each of the discoveries you click on is very relatable, things like I want to power nap but I'll feel worse if I don't have my drink first immediately trigger the dopamine because we have all been there.
You know, even the title is very relatable and made me want to play it in the first place.
Nicely done, now go have a coffee and a power nap :)
I liked the game; it is relaxing in itself
Fun game :)
Nice game!! I really liked the story aspect and the chilled vibe. Short and sweet, perfect for a game jam!
Easy fun, what a great game, well done! Felt really polished, good music choice. I really want to get outside.
Really fun I do like a point a click puzzle solving game. I enjoyed this one!
