Yay, I saved the forest. Enjoyed this very much. Fun game, and very polished.

Thanks for playing ,
glad to hear that you enjoyed the game!

That was fun! Required some strategy but also I get to slash at things which is cool. I would have liked a visual indication of the range of the tower (the standard way to do this is with a circle (or other shape, if the area isn't a circle)). I do wonder, the enemies were green and they flashed red when hit: is that an issue for colorblindness?

Thanks alot for the feedback and recording! Unfortunatley I couldn't make it.

Yes, an indication of range was planned but was pushed back due to balancing and wave building.

I am not entirely sure about the colorblind issue since the hit feedback is not essential for gameplay and there is also a sound playing when you hit enemies, but yeah flashing things in another color would be a good idea. We wanted to pay abit more attention to the controls though which we didn't get around to unfortunately. Like also enabling the player to build towers with a keypress and navigate the menus with the keyboard or a joypad.

Thanks for playing!

Job well done! It was fun to play. Maybe an indication on the side of the screen where current living enemies still are would be nice. On the one hand that would make it easier (because you don't have to walk down to make sure your towers missed something), but to me that felt more distracting than engaging :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing the game!

yeah we had that in mind but it was low priority, so we didn't get round to it in time.

Very well made tower defense! This is not a genera of game I normally play, but I found this game easy to understand and play. Nice variety of monsters, each looking very distinct. This is actually one of the few games I even managed to fully complete! Hehe

Ultimately, I don’t really have any critiques except, perhaps, the game was a little easy… maybe. For a game built for a game jam, though, I’m not sure I can really criticize that easiness, however. IDK… to me, it really did feel “just right”, if that makes sense.

Great game, very well made!!

Developer

Wow

Yeah thanks alot for playing and rating

Yeah the balancing was hard to get right, its still really off but we would rather have it too easy than too hard

so more people can actually finish the game xD

Thanks again for playing!

Nice tower defence game! Was a lot of fun playing through and interacting while building only seven towers. Great job!

Developer

Thanks!

Fun experience! Gameplay was very solid, and I really enjoyed it!
One small point I'd like to make artistically, is the sprites don't have the same pixel size, which can make the overall aesthetic design of the game fall apart a little. Like, it seems as though the main character was made, but seemed too small, so he was scaled up. Because of that, his pixels are much larger than the pixels of the trees and grass. But then, the big ogres also seemed scaled up, as their pixels were even larger than the main character. It's only a small nitpick, but keeping consistent pixel sizing throughout the art assets really makes the whole thing feel cohesive!

Developer(+1)

Yeah i see what you mean
it wasnt our artists fault it was mine xD

as you said it was too small so i scaled it up

Thanks for the advice and for playing our game!

Cool game. The big ogre was kinda cute so I felt bad killing them. If I was too find a bemol, maybe the game ended too early?

Developer

Thanks for playing,

We were going for the "Short game , but every second is action packed" kind of approach

The artist on this project was amazing and the art was a little cute xD

A fun tower defense game.  I liked the art a lot it was a fun take on goblins. What inspired the player character to be an axe man?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing

Well originaly we wanted a farmer kind of player who lived and protected the forest but we decided an axe was for fitting for fighting enemies

A couple more levels at the end may have been nice. Only needed to move around towers in the last wave.  But, I only say that because I was having fun! Nicely done. Good ramp and overall strong entry.

Developer

Thanks for playing,

Yeah it seems that some people found it easy and others found it hard

It really was hard to balance the game but our team tried our best!

Very nice entry, a good balance between challenging and fun :D Cool art style and great sound design!

Developer

Thanks,

its good to hear you liked our game!

I really liked this game. The 7 tower limit was challenging, but it forced me to take more action, which was good. I liked the art, and how the music changed when a new round started. Good touch.

Developer

Thanks for the review , its good to hear that you like the game!

Beautiful artwork and unobtrusive audio.  I've rated a lot of games this month, and this might be the first in which I made it to a successful conclusion.

Cool game, the muisc is really chill and the enemies are well designed, my only complain about this game is about the UI, the interface could be a little more visual and intuitive using more icons and less text. It's a great submission tho, congrats!!

Developer

Thanks  for rating our game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and I agree. I had lots more polish planed for the UI but it had lower priority than all the other things ^^
