Awesome game! I love the concept, and the minigames were fun. Unfortunately I couldn't do adventure mode because I never figured out the sorting minigame :(
(Timestamp 27:08)
Thank you very much for playing! The sorting minigame requires you to find the rocks which have iron in them (indicated by white dots), so you have to click rocks with a white dot in them, and avoid clicking rocks with no white dot in them (sorting the ore from the rubble).
Thank you very much for the video! I had been wondering why people complained about no back button, but I guess it's a viewport issue. The About page does have a back button, but it somehow must not show because of it. What's the resolution of your screen? I'm wondering if that's related.
2880 x 1800
This is a fun game! It also reminded me of the wario ware games with the minigames. I liked how each task/minigame kinda built up on the last one.
Thank you! Wario Ware was the main inspiration :) I wanted to give it a bit of a twist, I got some RPG mechanics in, but had hoped to continue the story longer.
Not going to lie... this was my favorite entry so far. Mini games are perfect for 7 seconds and I found all the mini games fun and addictive! I think that there are some sound cue issues where it would play the "you lost" sound effect even if I made it to the next round. Maybe it just restarted? Anyways, great entry!
That's a huge compliment! I am not sure about the sound issue, did you lose a life when that happened? If so it's more likely you just barely lost. If that happens in Arcade mode you'll get the next game (which may be the same), though in Adventure if you get the same game twice in a row it means it was a loss. Otherwise perhaps it's an edge case where you win just as another loss condition is met (most likely timeout).
The music was nice, and fighting the intentionally obtuse controls and timing mechanics was fun. I think you left out an escape from the About overlay.
You're the second person to say that, was your browser window big enough to cover the entire game? There should be a back button in the bottom center (for which I could have used better contrast): https://imgur.com/a/kvzUJPA
I'm a sucker for small minigames :D it gets a bit repetitive but that's normal for a jam.
Graphics are simple but the meaning is conveyed perfectly. Great job!
Thank you! Implementing a mini game actually took longer than I originally had thought. Some of that is my inexperience, but I didn't think about the fact that actually tuning each game so it feels good and creating assets for it would take as much time as it did (even if they are not that high quality).
It's a lot of fun to play! Great selection of mini games and I like the change of tunes and visual feedback. Good job!
Thank you!
I like how the minigames tell a story. That pouring one is so hard! I feel like I would be able to go for a long time if it wasn’t for that one. I also like the idea of Adventure and Arcade modes.
The initial idea was indeed to tell a story, and allow to adventure through the minigames :) but that proved a bit too grand for a gamejam. Pouring is definitely the hardest!
Some fun little mini games here, nice job!
I lost after 99 games in adventure mode all because of that ding dang pouring minigame! I only ever lost hearts during the pouring RIP
Overall, super fun!
It's definitely the hardest! I wasn't completely satisfied with the tuning, but I did not want to make it too trivial, especially since it's (especially early) the only real challenge!
Good job, the mini games reminds me on Among Us :)
Great job on implementing so many mini games! I'm a fan of the WarioWare games too :D
