I have collected all of the crystals and nothing heppend :(
Also the controls (mainly the mouse) is too sensitive for my taste, my view kept spinning.
The column mechanics are a great challenging feature :)

Developer

The mouse sensitivity was apparently too high for some. I will definitely add an option for this. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

It surprises me that you also had the error with the ending. I'll have to see if I can trigger that too. Did just nothing happen after the last crystal was handed in?

Submitted(+1)

Yup, All crystals collected and nothing happened, maybe there is a problem with the order? I did them quite randomly

Developer

The order shouldn't matter right now. At the moment, a counter simply runs for solved puzzles and then compares this with the number of total puzzles. Hmmm...๐Ÿค”

Developer(+1)

Okay, I think I got it. It's probably just the other side of another bug. It should be solved by now. So hopefully the problem will no longer occur in the next version. ^^

I think you have some neat stuff going on here, the columns raising and lowering were cool, and there was some nice lighting. It was a bit difficult at times to see where to jump though, sometimes the platforms were entirely dark before I was basically on top of them (which meant I missed and fell). I also didn't seem to get an ending at all, even after collecting all the crystals.

Developer

No ending, even though you have collected all the crystals? Okay, I don't know the error yet. I'll have to think over it. ๐Ÿค”

Nice game! I had a lot of fun! I didn't have the problem I've seen others mention, I collected all 7 crystals before I got the ending. Good work!

Developer(+1)

This means that you have not lost any of the crystals along the way. Not bad! I'm glad you enjoyed it. ๐Ÿ˜„

Submitted(+1)

I got the ending after 2 crystals, it seems like some other people have been seeing a similar issue. I really liked it regardless! Some of the platforms were pretty challenging.

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! Yes, I really forgot to remove the lost crystals. I've fixed it in the meantime. So the error should (hopefully) no longer occur in the post jam version.  ๐Ÿ˜

I thought the godot logos were really funny and I loved the game play. I think it would've been cool if you added some ambiance but I get that you were time constrained. I couldn't make that in a week, Good Job

Developer

Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜Š The Godot logos as textures were honestly only meant as a dummy, but then I just didn't have enough time for proper models and textures in the end. ๐Ÿ‘€

I love to see 3D platformers! I also completed the game after I think 4 or 5 crystals on accident. The dark environment and the master passing away gave off a darker tone. I'm convinced that I helped revive some terrible monster o.O It did seem to uphold its end of the bargain and helped me out of the cave!

Adding a mouse sensitivity setting would be nice. But, I totally get that we are all time constrained.

Developer

When I wrote this, I was already wondering if people would expect some kind of boss fight at the end. It really does seem a bit dodgy. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I will add options like mouse sensitivity as soon as possible.

An interesting game, but I spent a little too much time falling and not enough time actually achieving my objectives. A shame, because I expect I would have enjoyed it a lot if I was able to get further.

Developer

Hey, thanks for your feedback! ๐Ÿ™‚ Just looked at your video and was a bit surprised. It looks like you had extremely low FPS. Was that really the case?

In terms of jumping, it seems like a few more people had trouble. I should probably really add a small light source above the player so you have the shadow as an anchor point... ๐Ÿค”

Submitted

I think that was the case, but make sure you're looking at the highest resolution of the video as that might affect things. Streaming certainly doesn't help fps, but I tried it just now without streaming and the fps does still feel kind of low. That's one of the potential issues with browser-based games.

Developer

I guess I'll have to start looking for ways to optimize it. Maybe there are still a few possibilities to make the browser version a bit more performant.

Just played the game. The ending seemed to trigger despite me not having collected all the crystals. Went back and got those anyways. Good job, loved the Godot faces.

Developer

You could really trigger the ending without the 7 crystals? Oh dear, I'll have to stare at the code now until I get the bug.๐Ÿค” Thanks for the info!

Submitted(+1)

Wish I could tell you more about how I got it to happen. I collected my fifth crystal and the ending started. Maybe something about how I fell off on the way back with the crystals sometimes?

Developer(+1)

! O.O

Yes, that's it! I forgot to reduce the number of completed puzzles when the crystal is lost! Thank you! I will change that immediately.

Submitted(+1)

I think your game had a lot of atmosphere. It was a nice 3D platformer, intuitive because I could tilt the camera to see where I will land (since there was no shadow, this was great for the jumps), it's nice and dark and you just go into the darkness to get the light back. Short and rather easy (except for the long jumps), but it was fun. Good work!

Developer

Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜Š

A wired and creeping game

Developer

Is that good or bad? ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Submitted(+1)

that depends if you like that kind of games. Personal it is not my kind of game but I understnad that ohter like it

Developer

Okay, that's rather positive. ๐Ÿ˜

Submitted(+1)

poor godot, nice concept but I stuck at the first crystal

Developer

You got stuck? Why?

Submitted(+1)

Hi Knuffwolke, I liked the creepy atmosphere of the broken godot face. It was hard to see the platforms as there was limited light. I liked the pattern matching, that was good.  The mouse sensitivity was high, wish I could change it. The jumping and moving was good tho.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! Yup, I also tested the game again during the day yesterday and realized that a bit more light would be helpful. ๐Ÿ˜

I'll tackle that on the post jam version. I'll also add a menu for some settings to the list.

Submitted(+1)

Cool game. A little too heavy on godot logo side. more variety on light patterns would be cool.

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing it! ๐Ÿ˜Š Honestly, I just didn't have time for the textures anymore, those are kind of the dummy models and textures.

What exactly do you mean by variety on the light patterns? The number of lights? Right now it's just a random order.

Submitted

in 6 out of 7 crystals the pattern was the same.

Developer

Okay, that is strange. Have now adjusted the code and run the randomizer again right before creating the pattern, but maybe the number of possible patterns is just too small. Will ponder over it again. ๐Ÿค”
