As the name indicates I'm looking for players and some feedback. Rate my game, post your game here and I'll check it out and give you feedback in exchange. Happy sharing and thanks in advance for playing :)

Meet Me in The Shadows is a turn based strategy game where Light is your Enemy. A lot of the assets are handdrawn. The game is inspired by a board game I played as a kid, that's the reason why I chose this hand-drawn style.

Damn those are some fine shaders - I'll boot it up real fast and try it out!

Mine is Decrafted, an inverse crafting game the objective of which is to try and craft your way down to one item rather than up to as many as possible. Slightly buggy and some of the names don't work but otherwise everything seems to be A-Ok and I'm happy with how it turned out: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/463986

just played, rated and commented on your game :)

AND: No Shaders. Just Standard Material (well and standard shader) and Post Processing :D

Maybe the hand drawn and scanned water color did some magic too?

Your game is beautiful :o

Here is my shader-less, flat, but colorfull game : https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462432

It's about slicing things. You can play directly in your browser!

Tell me what you think :D

Cheers

Just played and rated your game. Here's what I think:

In the beginning I had to get used to the controls but once I was done it was very funny to fly around and slice things. Also I like your approach to use some sort of confetti instead of blood.

I would suggest to add something to indicate how much health a player still has left and some more feedback to get a feeling if the player was hit or not. Sometimes I couldn't figure out if I was hit or not by these light beams. Also Sound Effects would be great :)

But overall: cool idea and fun to play. Keep on jamming!

already rated and commented on your game, not a bad one, I enjoyed it!

of course, here's mine:

Just rated and commented on your game. But here again:

Lots of fun, well polished, cute pixel graphics. The amount of screenshake felt just about right, nice sound effects and a fitting soundtrack.

I would add some extra feedback or particles for sprinting. The small line in the top left is barely visible. Also it would be cool to regain some health (Cut those cute flowers maybe?) And an ultimate weapon would be cool to clear the whole scene every now and then to have a short time to breathe :)

But this was a lot of fun. Loved the sledgehammer!

Wow your game seems to have a super nice amount of shaders!

I'm still a beginner in that. I wrote my first shader for our game about fishing (look at that nice golden marlin. that is shader-scripted! It's basic but I'm proud)

To be honest: Only Unity Standard Shader and Material with some Emission.

Post Processing Did the Magic here.

Just rated your game. Here is what I think: Cool and Relaxing experience. missed a bit dynamic here. because although I dived deeper it felt kind of repetetive. I don't know if there is an specific end, always died before I could experience that. But what would be cool: If you add some layers of Depth: In the beginning only small and cute fishes. And the deeper you get the darker the see becomes. And more dangerous, bigger and faster fish appear.

Still: I enjoyed playing it. Keep in jamming :)

Wow, thank you for your detailed opinion! :D

We use Godot to work for our games, and I think that it is not as easy as Unity for the shader stuff... But at least I'm learning some shader scripting ,that's always useful.

Much less fancy, but still quite proud of the result: https://visknut.itch.io/5-rights-make-a-right

It's short but sweet, so give it a spin ;)

Thanks for trying, it seems like a certain percentage of people are having issues but I haven't been able to sort it out.  Might use a different game engine next time.
