Concept and visuals are awesome! Game's kinda hard, but I nailed it 8)

I'm surprised this was forgiving as to allow you to continue after dying
Though with how er... 'well' I could keep the ship where I wanted, perhaps just as well XD

Helloooo I don't know if you're aware but you're on the front page of RPS right now:

This is such a good game I love the pixel art. This may or may not be a glitch but even if you don't stay alive long enough to get to the end you can still get to it. If I had to complain about one thing it would be the double laser beam which for the life of me I can't avoid. Wonderful game!

The pixel art look awesome (especially the menu) and the music is so soothing I could hear it for hours without getting tired. The gameplay is also fun and there is a nice variation in the obstacles and their behavior. The warning signs are a nice touch since they make the game feel more fair and less frustrating. The game really needs a score meter since I can't really know how much better or worse I did compared to my previous trial. Overall, it is really well done and feels so good to play. Nice work.

It's a soothing and relaxing game. I like the music of the game. The graphics are very well done. Good job ^_^

I also made a little video compilation of games from the game jam and you're in it : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mJWndlAIwk

Woah, thanks for showcasing the game in your video, much appreciate it!

I miss some UI elements to display maybe some progress, numbers of deaths, etc but aside from that this game rocks!

Nice and fun, quite well made. It's a bit sad that you don't get reset at all when dying, so you never really need to learn to overcome a specific challenge, but otherwise a pretty cool idea and good execution!

Simple and fun game!

The pixel art is neat! also, the game is fun and challenging, i think it would work really well as a mobile game, good work!

It's probably due to time constrainst, but a score a the top of the screen telling you what distance did you travel would be neat. Overall a really fun game .

A good looking and fun little game :) I love the visuals and the music is great albeit a bit repetitive. I feel the thruster is slow to respond in the beginning and then becomes too strong soon afterwards making the game brutally difficult for me, but maybe  just need to practice more :P

Very relaxing and just fun in simple words. Love that pixel art and music :)

The thruster was a little hard to control at first.....but with practice, it becomes a little easier.

Definitely going to play more of this. Could you make a mobile version or maybe expand on the pc version ? Would really like to see more of this game.

Developer

Yeah, I would love to make the game a little longer, I made a very simple tool to make the levels and that made me run out of time during the jam ^^u

The mobile version would be really easy to do and it fits the game, I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for playing!

Yeah, this is a pretty good game !

Though if you want to continue working on it (or even reupload it after the jam), you should probably put a music a bit more dynamic, I don't think this one really fits with the gameplay (which reminded me a lot of undertale by the way).

Developer

Hahaha I was looking for some CC Synthwave song and this was the only I found, I have to speak with a musician friend to make something unique for the game xD

Well if you want a pretty cool website with a lot of free song, go check https://incompetech.filmmusic.io, I discovered it during the jam and they have quite a lot of content (you have to credit the website and the song in your project but beyond this you can use anything for free).

Developer

The song in the game is from that website x')

Wooops, well nevermind I guess xD

Nicely done it's a fun little space game

I'd jus say that the thruster controls need a bit of tweaking since it's quite hard to stay in one place when obstacle pop up and you have to be in the middle of the screen, just a small issue though nothing much

I liked the visuals, and the chill tune, Congrats for this entry ! :)

An easy concept but well realized, definitely perfect for a smartphone port

Very hard and very beautiful. I died a lot which wouldn't be too bad if the respawn was quicker.

You are a fucking genius... You have found a fun engaging  game with simple mechanics .

Much deserved best rating... Release the finished version on app/play store...

Developer

Lmao, thank you very much, maybe you are overreacting, but thanks! xD

It's a little hard to control, but the idea is good and gives us an intersting use of the ONLY ONE BUTTON ,it could be a really good scoring game ,specialy on mobile :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I've been thinking to make it procedural, but I like the idea of making levels with different challenges...
