0.8.2b Sometimes Kerfur-O gets stuck on the way to TR2 until you activate snow mode. It took a few attempts to get this, as it doesn't happen totally consistently, and seems to only be while unsupervised, but I found what she gets stuck on. The coordinates are -275.90, 113.38.

encountered a bug when going into the server room and trying to fix a down server; stuck in the minigame and it's not accepting any inputs. new save on 0.8.2, no upgrades. accidentally alt+entered prior to this, not sure if that factored into it.
Elaborate? If you're talking about the pink and black texture, there's no preview because you haven't made a save in-game yet. Click on it and hit "Play game" then save. You'll see a preview image now.
That is an outdated version of 0.8.2, not even just it not being the latest update.

Nah, not a bug; it's intentional. You can recover your stamina up to 20 in the shower.
The entities who built the tree house aren't very fond of cameras, and that is what caused the event. The ariral slapper event is probably bugged it should cause an ariral to spawn near you and chase you, sometimes entering into your base, then they will beat you up. Maybe try exploring around the base and such to see if you can get the ariral unstuck if it is stuck somewhere. although im pretty sure they just spawn in so it being stuck is pretty unlikely.
Judging by the answer above, you need to turn on winter mode - because of it, mobs and kerfurs often get stuck in the river
if youre using OBS youll have to use something like display capture rather than window capture. i dont think its an issue specific to VOTV i think its just unreal engine being annoying with how it does windowed fullscreen
It should be in the back right corner behind the stacked crates. If it isn't there, try checking on a new save (use mailbox to bring the necessary tools for convenience)
You can turn off physics damage in experimental settings before you load in to stop the fall from killing you. Alternatively, if you have a number pad on your keyboard, numpad . is debug teleport and will transport you safely to the ground. If you don't have a number pad, like me, you can also set it in keybinds to another key.

(edit) reminds me, other material issue: emissive texture sampling for all props is set to linear instead of nearest. dont know if thats a bug or not but it annoys me
The game launches with black borders, nasty stripes on top bottom and sides. I looked and used all the settings, nothing helps, the game resolution does not change at all. What should I do? Also, when opening the settings during the game, the ‘hitboxes’ of the buttons are positioned as if the screen was stretched fully, but the picture itself, still with stripes, so it's impossible to press the buttons because they don't correspond to their real position. I can't figure out how to solve this problem, help me please
The shovel might be under the base. There's a darkened corner outside to the left of the mailbox--it has no collision. You can drop down under there and crawl beneath the base to look for things that have clipped through the floors.
If you're moving them from drive slots in the signal processing console, left clicking should place them into the slot. This also works with drive boxes and racks. Placing with alt+R should also still work, as well as throwing with alt+LMB.
Thank you, I turned it on and searched for about an hour. Found him under the base, he must've worked his way under there when trying to come back.
Update: I started a fresh save in 0.8.2b on story mode and had the same issue with an event starting but nothing happening and not being able to sleep or save. I was at dish Whiskey as the sun was setting both times this issue occurred. I believe this may be caused by "William the protector" but its not like anything happens, and when it happened on my previous save the event never ended, even whenever I went to my base and stayed there for several days. Unsure if this is a glitch or not, and can't find a whole lot on any events surrounding it. Any help on how to end the event if this occurs again would be appreciated!
Thank you!! Turns out the bug was an "arirSlapper_C" event on my old file (0.8.2). Which is weird bc it had spawned a few days ago and only recently decided to start an event. Not sure what happened on my newer file bc it had saved from long before the "Endless event" happened so I molotov'd myself and avoided going to whiskey at sunset when I reloaded the save which circumvented the "endless event". I might try going back to whiskey at sunset to see if it was the same arir slapper event or if it's somehow caused by William.
reached the point in the game where the tank event happened again, and got the same error that occured on my original 0.8.2 save (I'm on 0.8.2b now) but wasn't quick enough to take a screenshot so I could say what exactly the error message was :c. It was along the lines of "tank detected a negative event, go to bug report". A few days later, the event where arirals battle against the cyber boars occurred and there was a ariral shooter left over even though all the boars were dead. The leftover ariral is causing an infinite event where I cannot sleep or save. I typed in "debug events" and the console printed the following: "Class: "ariral_shooter_C" || Object: "ariral_shooter_C_2147215357". I'll try scraping events to see if that gets rid of the ariral, but when I tried scraping events on my 0.8.2 save, it allowed me to save, but either would countinue the event shortly after saving or just re-start the event whenever I loaded the save. I can't recall exactly as it's been a bit since that happened.
I had one stuck shooter when I had the Ariral battle as well, though it seemed to linger because there were a couple straggling hogs that wandered off. I went leading those hogs back over to the tree house and it disappeared after killing one of them. Usually a save/load cycle gets rid of most event entities, not including ones meant to persist like the hogs.
I didn't see any stray hogs, nothing even shows up on the radar other than the leftover shooter. I will check again whenever I load the game back up today though. If the scrape didn't get rid of the ariral already. The endless event never cropped up again after using the scrape. I played for a few hours and didn't have a problem with saving or sleeping, but it might come back when I re-load
I had heard that as well but i had the large white wisp event that makes it extremely foggy once when i was trying to run around and do a bunch of stuff, not wanting to deal with it i scraped it just to see what would happen. It turned instantly sunny and the wisp was gone. Maybe it was just perfect timing though, lol
Yeah I get there around 3 am, 3:33 comes and goes and by time it's 4 it still never opened. Sometimes I encounter this in Story mode around day 30 and beyond to final available story day, sometimes it just works again in Story mode. But it never seems work in Infinite mode and that save is one day 60+ .
Yeah a Streamer I was watching had this issue when we tried guide them to the Slabs/Tablets, and another chat member also reported no Red Bush activation. Again I'm not sure if this is intended but doesn't make any sense to have it not activate for Infinite Mode when every other event should be able activate. So on one hand glad it's defiantly common occurrence and not just use, on the other hand hoping it's not intentional and it's just a bug.
Type "debug events" in console to see what is causing it, and "debug scrape" if you REALLY can't solve the issue and need it gone. Additionally, you can shower a bit for 20 free stamina, on top of using the toilet afterward for another 5.
Не работает крафт керфура на версии 0.8.2b которая вышла совсем недавно. Перепроверял всё по нескольку раз и до сих пор не могу понять, что делаю не так. Книжка есть, всё есть! А головы керфура нету... :< Пытался несколько рах перекрафтить эллектронное вторсырьё, даже это не помогло, при добавлении металлического вторсырья, оно перекрафчивает мне всё это обратно в диски...
В том то и проблема, что у меня в мире ее нет... Я сбрасывал и данные и, чего только не перебробывал... А создал заново.. Желания 0, впереди то, что мне осталось лишь создать радиоактивную капсулу... Возможно, проблема из - за того, что перешёл на более новую версию в своем мире и.. Всё просто забагалось, хз..
Sounds like a mismatched set resolution. You should set your games resolution exactly to the same as your monitors, or things like this can happen.

The picture is a bug with the anti-aliasing. I had similar issues try adjusting the anti-aliasing options, there are two different options for it now. i specifically had this problem when i ran the game with reshade installed. And reshade seems to have problems with in game anti aliasing in a bunch of different games.
Turn things off with the Components computer tab or the breaker in the basement when not in use. Power consumption was increased from base functions being turned on, to incentivize turning them off when not in use to spice up the gameplay loop a bit.
as well as the crypto miners draining power
it might be all things plugged into wall outlets but their power draw seems to be negligable if at all in comparison

nah i tried downloading from the app it didn't work so i uninstalled it then downloaded it via website i'd say try and get in contact with the dev and see what they say you're probably gonna have to give the error info it should be in your clipboard when it happens so all you have to do is paste it in notepad or a comment
They did change it, the toolbox can no longer be simply touched to the ATV to repair it.

I think this is caused by either the color filter toggle or the color hue slider. I've done this a few times as well, only happens after resetting to default options though. lol
Are you doing the math correctly? You always take the bigger number +/- the smaller number. Your answer will never be a negative, and if your answer is 10 or higher then you remove the first number in the integer. So 10 would be 0, 15 would be 5, so on.
[0.8.2c] I had this as well. I've gotten SKerfurO, an Ariral that decided to kick me over for whatever reason (didn't even know they were in ambient), and the Forbidden Fast Shadow Figure (but that one makes sense bc June 28, 9pm requirement-- though the other date specific event didn't happen on the 24th sooo....).
I play Ambient for the times when none of my friends are available to be an emotional support human while I play story, so the fact events are leaking REALLY sucks.
Happy my transformers at least go down now to break the signal collection loop though. That's nice
The recipe for the mining rig cooler is 4 metal scrap, 4 electronic scrap, and 2 accumulator batteries (the green ones). Is this what you're putting on the bench and it's not working?
They could have also been eating some of the boar meat if they got close to it. You get rep for them eating food items, and boars explode into a lot of food items.
Reassign the keys in the settings. This combination is occupied by another application on the computer
The hole is there if anything falls under the base. I've never had Kerfus fall in there before though. You could put a crate or trash can in front of it.
When you put an item in the blue crates they become "glued" to the crates. If something knocks them out quickly or you pick them up out of the crates it can cause glitches like this. The only way i've found to fix it is by using the crate to scoop it up like the other comment said. One way to prevent this in the future is to pour the crates contents out instead of picking things up out of them.
You can climb up the barrier wall with another hook (half-hook preferably, so you don't also lose it) and detach the hook from the drone. The drone should make it's location obvious, so at least you have that going for you.
Don't know why I didn't consider doing that, thank you! That said, I still think a drone reset debug command should be implemented in case something breaks with it. Just because the whole game relies on you being able to use the drone

1a. It is intentional that servers do not fail and satellite calibrations do not decrease in Ambience mode.
1b. Power lines do swing in the wind in real life, although the effect has been increased in-game, presumably to draw more attention to the lines. Not everything has to be entirely physically accurate.
1c. The saw object currently has no actual use. To be able to destroy objects such as pallets, purchase a hacksaw from the store.
1d. The only type of can that doesn’t work to make metal scrap is the can from canned food and canned peaches. It should be easy to tell these cans apart, as inspecting them shows that they can be, or have been, eaten. Otherwise, cans named “empty can” or cans from the vending machine both count toward crafting metal scrap.
1e. The crafting book is not supposed to change as you learn new recipes, your learned recipes are listed in the inventory.
1f. You can easily reach the ceiling vent with the hook by jumping and throwing the end so that it attaches to the ceiling, scrolling the mouse wheel to pull yourself up, and then “grabbing” the vent cover. The speed at which you pull yourself up is the same as the speed you scroll, so scroll slowly to avoid slamming your head into the ceiling.
1g. Garbage that is stuck as a ball can still be moved by pushing it with another object, or by using the broom. If you successfully dislodge it, it should snap back to being a pile again. Garbage cannot get stuck to the ceiling, what you are seeing is just garbage on the floor above that clips through the floor and is visible on the ceiling.

Yes, no matter what I do, whether it's alt + f4, die, or save and quit normally, it always resets the signal. It goes down to 0% and turns off both frequency and polarity signals, as well as showing a big "NO SIGNAL" overlay, though it keeps the signal in there and you can still process it after
(attached is raw footage of me testing both saving/exiting and dying, the former of which still lets me save, and the latter not)I get this too. They're often full circles of varying size. I have some by the gate, some around the lake, a whole bunch by Romeo and the cave area. They are starting to ruin the landscape for me especially at night because you can see them glowing bright white from a mile away.
I have not figured out how to get rid of them. I have tried using the axe, the sell gun, and eating them. If I start eating one at around 20 hunger, it will fill me up before I can finish. If i return later when hungry they seem to regenerate.
If you are GPU overclocking try to reduce or turn it off for this game I fixed the ue4 crash on my system that way
Помню, раньше с дисками бла проблема. Они как бы были в коробке, но игра их не видела там, если они долго лежат. Необходимо переткнуть их все. Не знаю, есть ли такая ошибка сейчас, ибо лично я с тех пор кладу диски в коробку непосредственно перед отправкой. Но судя по тому, что у некоторых порой два диска вставляется в слот для обработки, могу предположить, что ошибка сохраняется.
По поводу хэш кодов сложно. Приложи скриншот хоть, как записано. Может у тебя где-то пробел пропал или что-то в этом роде. Ещё убедись, что посылка успевает долететь вовремя. Вдруг ты отправляешь, допустим, в 23:50, а посылка туда попадает уже после полуночи. Это играет роль.
я об этом всём знаю, отправлял около 15:00-17:00 каждый день. С дисками проблем не было (хотя наиграл уже 100+ дней в общем). Хэши раз 20 перепроверял и заново отправлял, не помогло, у меня такое уже как-то было, уже не вспомню как избавлялся, но вроде где-то в папке игры в AppData удалял остатки данных старых сохранений, так что мб повторилось и надо всё чистить :(
The gas can needs to be placed there as a physics prop, drop it and carry it over to the output, where it should slot into place.
Stable build. Bought the catboy and opened the supply/drop box almost at the same time it got destroyed. I think on the screenshot the box is already destroyed, but its UI is still present on the left and has these multiple "empty white circle" items inside.
I encountered something strange.. A half round circle with white error blocks, that you can eat 6/6 times, apparently. They are at 588, 526. I am at day 29.
