Turn things off with the Components computer tab or the breaker in the basement when not in use. Power consumption was increased from base functions being turned on, to incentivize turning them off when not in use to spice up the gameplay loop a bit.
Like the other comment mentioned, do you have any crypto miners? They also take up transformer power now, and it can really start to add up quickly with them.
