I had an accident with my ATV and Kurfer was with me, one of the arms disappeared from the accident scene and when I tried to put new arms it seems that it does not work (before the accident it was painted, to clarify)
You can only reassemble a Kerfur with all the parts being the correct color, so crafting brand new parts doesn't work if the kerfur is colored.
